The Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation WATCHMAN NEE Christian Fellowship Publishers, Inc. New York Copyright ©1980 Christian Fellowship Publishers, Inc. New York All Rights Reserved ISBN 0-935008-48-9 excerpt: (whole pdf free available online/offline) (words may be changed without being aware - if in doubt, check the original book) ... ... ... "Did I believe in God? I did. Did I know Him? I honestly did not know if I knew Him. I needed the aid of many reasons and doctrines to protect my faith. I felt safe and could even talk with others so long as my reasons were logical and my doctrines were sound. I needed mental assistance in my Christian life. But today I can testify that I am no longer that way. Today I can say I know my God. I no longer require mental aids for support: I do not need outward evidence to protect my inward faith.” What this Christian has said is what truly knowing God is. Such knowledge comes from revelation: not because the doctrine is good, The Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation pg 11 but because you know it inwardly by revelation. It is different from the kind of knowing which you had immediately subsequent to the moment of being saved. For at that time you felt your knowledge had to be handled with the utmost of care out of fear lest it be damaged in some way or even be lost. For many people, their faith in the Lord Jesus is dependent continually upon their having to walk carefully: they are always afraid of hearing anything different which might overturn their knowledge of God. But one day God gives them revelation. They begin to know Him inwardly because they have truly seen Him; and all problems are solved. " ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ i.e. when abiding in Jesus, completely resting, set upon Him, working all things daily in Him with all one's strength and effort and will and willingness, HE keeps our minds in PERFECT PEACE - unshakeable. Guarded by a STRONG FORTRESS, by YAHWEH THE ALMIGHTY, by HIS WORD. I can't tell if you agree, disagree, or think the words you quoted are lacking in importance, but I personally find the words of Jesus and the Bible more weighty than the words of Watchman Nee. I never heard of Watchman Nee. Is he a prophet or something?

I don't know anything about his teachings, if they are Biblical, but I've heard his name mentioned a couple of times.

And every now and again, I tend to get a certain pricking in my heart concerning such and such, and many times I found out that it is in the bible, and that, what I was feeling, was indeed of the Holy Ghost. The bible shows that he quickens us, he pricks us, and convicts us, and when he truly does, he will always point to something that is biblical. Amen! The Lord's words endure forever: "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever." (Hebrews 13:8)
The Lord leads me where I need to go in the scriptures when He convicts me in such a manner, Giller . I wrote elsewhere that the Lord has commanded me to read specific books of scripture, teaching me to do so in prayer (Job was the first). I'm in the book of Revelation at this time... so many erroneously believe that Revelation is terrifying, in effect becoming "the revelation of the Beast!" Perhaps it's that way due to the conviction of some who read this book, which is a blessing from God if they grasp the ramifications of the following verse:
Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. (Revelation 1:3)
The Lord convicted me of this, asking me why am I so afraid? Like frienduff , I wasn't indoctrinated in the churches and yet the errors and false teachings of this world's churches concerning Revelation still found their way into my mind. The Lord is faithful to cleanse us, sanctify us, and instruct us in His word. Revelation is wonderful beyond words because that book is the revealing of our Lord Jesus Christ! It's exciting to read. Oh no doubt the book of Revelation is a blessing to believers, and should not get us fearful, but get us rejoicing for the coming of the lord, and how that he will reign for 1000 years and so on. And in saying that, people also must give heed to its warnings, because they are very serious warnings, believer and unbeliever must give heed.

Since we on this topic . let me , allow me to remind us of something Both paul and JESUS from heaven said . AND it was to the same church of ephesus . where even paul reminded timothy . YE have left YOUR FIRST LOVE . that LOVE YOU HAD AT FIRST . REPENT or else that candlestick will be PUT OUT . paul , when writing to timothy at ephesus . THEY HAVE Left the FIRST faith , The faith THEY HAD AT FIRST . GOOD PURE FAITH . they follow satan now . having damnation cause they have LEFT OFF , CEASED FROM , NOT CONTINUED IN , that first faith . OSAS just got kicked in the SKULL BIG TIME . and now proverbs . THE CANDLE OF THE WICKED SHALL INDEED BE PUT OUT . GOD was warning , YOU BETTER RETURN to what YOU HAD AT FIRST , IT WAS GOOD , BUT YOU LEFT IT RETURN OR YOUR CANDLE WILL GET PUT OUT . a mule kick right to that acroynm . AS I SAID . WE BETTER CONTINUE IN JESUS TO THE END , OR as PETER SAID , that END WILL BE EVEN WORSE .

And @walker I find that you have been a real blessing to us, we are blessed to have you.
A scripture I think of, concerning how you have been a blessing to us, is this one:
Psa 133:1-2 (1) A Song of degrees of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! (2) It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;

HOW EVIL and WICKED it is for brethren to dwell in unity , WHEN THAT UNITY IS NOT CENTERED ON JESUS and ALL TRUTH , ALL REMINDERS and all The word of GOD .
