Well let us start with Isaiah 53.
Isa 53:1-6 (1) Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? (2) For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. (3) He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. (4) Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. (5) But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. (6) All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
No doubt this is talking about, Jesus' road to the cross and him finally dying on the cross, which points to the new covenant.
And most books in the bible, when first written, did not have chapters and verses, although the book of psalms sure was divided into various psalms, in the sense that, it was psalm 1, psalm 2, etc.
And here is an example of this:
Act 13:33 (33) God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.
Although, I do thank God, that the bible was divided into chapters and verses, which makes the bible easier to read, and some chapters follow each other, and some other chapters, sometimes changes subjects.
In the cases of Isaiah chapters 53 to 56, they seem to follow each other in some fashion, of what it speaks of, as we will see.

You hit it right on the money Frienduff, and soon, I will elaborate, on some of it's verses.
Here are some of it's verses.
Isa 54:1-10 (1) Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD. (2) Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; (3) For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited. (4) Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more. (5) For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called. (6) For the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God. (7) For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee. (8) In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer. (9) For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee. (10) For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.

(10) For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee. and thy seed , WHICH IS CHRIST . Yep that is the SEED . And its only in the new covenant of everlasting peace , IN JESUS CHRIST shall those in that covenant know and have peace with God . The mercies that GOD does speak of , are found ONLY IN JESUS CHRIST . No wonder paul could reason with the jews ALL DAY about things that pointed to JESUS . Cause its all over the old testament . But only in CHRIST can and does one see this truth . The blind look for that which is natural . They too looked to make a natural kingdom upon earth . THIS is why many tried to come and make JESUS a king . YET THE CITY and the KINGDOM , the ZION and JERSUSALEM that GOD spoke of , pertains not to the earth but its heavenly . ITS THE TRUE KINGDOM not made by hands , not made after the pattern of the TRUE , BUT IT IS THE TRUE and HEAVENLY OF GOD . THE JERUSALEM established and built not by the hands of men , BUT OF GOD and through the preaching of the gospel that city is built stone by stone , as we are all little stones in that ONE KINGDOM . Men will do all to try and establish their own kingdom and their own peace BUT OURS COMETH OF GOD and IN JESUS IS OUR PEACE . IN the world we shall have tribulations , in the world all kingdoms built by the hands of men shall fall , BUT THE KINGDOM OF GOD wherein the true TEMPLE OF GOD IS , where both GOD and the LAMB are the temple , CAN NEVER BE SHAKEN . NOR can any evil enter theirin to decieve the flocks ever again . FOR THE TEACHER abides , THE SPIRIT , THE WORD , THE FATHER and from THAT SPIRIT we can learn TRUTH and shall grow in wisdom . Now feast huge upon the holy scrips and let no man take thy crown by false seductions and lies of a false peace , false love , false unity . MOUNT ZION is above , TRUE JERSUALEM is above , THE TEMPLE is above , and by the SPIRIT we are connected to it even now . FOR YE have come unto MOUNT ZION , HEAVENLY JERSUALEM . PAUL KNEW THIS TRUTH . WE would be wise to heed what they knew and learn it well .

(10) For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee. Even in amos is speaks of a kingdom not of earth . I beleive james reminds us of this in acts , perhaps chapter fifteen . THEY will REBUILD the old waste places And he uses it to show that GOD has given access even to the gentiles to come and build in this city . BY building it means preaching the gosple too . that is how one is added stone by stone to this true Jerusalem to this true temple . THEY ALLL KNEW this to be true my friend . And though we are now partakers by grace in this kingdom which is in heaven , LATER paul also says WE AWAIT THE CITY TO COME . SO ONE DAY ITS GONNA DESCEND AS WELL . ONE fat wonderful home for the lambs to forever dwell with HE who saved us . THE LORD IS OUR HOPE , HE ALONE OUR SALVATION . And the popes and false men can keep their lies . FOR the one world kingdom they build serves anti christ , the beast and the dragon and that KINGDOM IS NOT GONNA ENDURE NOR LAST . GOD WILL D ESTROY IT and all who partook of it . ITS WHY WE MUST STAY CENTERED ON JESUS , ON BIBLE DOCTRINE and do all to POINT ONLY TO HE ALONE and to all biblical truth . WHILE WE STILL have the time to do so . Cause i remind and warn us all , TIMES RUNNING OUT. ITS RUNNING OUT . THE DAY OF THE WRATH OF GOD , the HOUR OF HIS WRATH Does approach . FOR US we shall go home , but woe to the world who rejected CHRIST and followed this false all inclusive we are one religoin that trod the dire necessity for BELIEF IN CHRIST right under foot . I fear huge for those who do this . THEY are heaping up wrath upon wrath unto themselves ON THE DAY OF THE WRATH OF ALMIGHTY GOD wherein the LAMB , THE KING JESUS shall tread that winepress and destroy all who loved not the truth , were given over to a delusoin to beleive a lie that damned them all WE MUST stick to the one and only life saving and life changing gospel . Nothing else is gonna save anyone . NOTHING ELSE IS GONNA SAVE THEM . SO let us stay glued to Christ , glued in bibles and be hearers and doers of the glorious word of the LORD .

Many indeed there be that are of the UNMARRIED harlot . Few they be who are of Christ . Many more are the children of the desolate than of the married wife . The false way verses the true and only way .

Well the scripture that mentions the desolate, is also found in the new testament, here are verses, side by side: Isa 54:1 (1) Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD.
| Gal 4:26-31 (26) But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. (27) For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband. (28) Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. (29) But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now. (30) Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. (31) So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.

Who were the Galatian church as a whole? They were mainly comprised of Gentile believers, and in Isaiah 54, it says this: Isa 54:3 (3) For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.

Isaiah 54 explained
Isa 54:1 (1) Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD.

Now notice what is being said to the barren, it says for them to sing or rejoice, now this singing and rejoicing here, is referring to something positive, but it is something positive being said to them who are in a negative state of barrenness. Why tell they who are in a spiritual barren state to rejoice ?? Well first of all, the barren this was speaking of, was the Israelites. And here is a bit of history concerning the time of Isaiah: (Grant Jeffrey)(....Isaiah prophesied during a troublesome time in the life of Israel and Judah. Israel faced the threat of domination by the Assyrians. Isaiah warned that Judah too would face capture and captivity because of their sins unless they place their total reliance on God, not on political alliances, religious ritual or material possession...)
Now we know what happened to Israel and Judah, they did not repent and fell into captivity by the Assyrians and also the Babylonians. So in Isaiah's time Israel was already in a sinful path. Ans as a whole it was barren to the things of God. It was in a barren state. Yet here is what it also says in Isaiah: Isa 54:1-4 (1) Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD. There is coming a day that God will restore Israel unto himself, to were they shall receive Christ as their Lord and saviour. And she will forget her shame, and no longer be put to shame. So the reason the barren can rejoice, is not because of their bareness, but rather because of what God will do to them who were barren, in that he will save them, and they will be taken out of their barren state, and break forth on the right hand and on the left hand. And when it says more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, the desolate here, is referring to the Gentiles, for they are they which were in a desolate state, but received Christ, under New covenant times. So the ones who were supposed to be the married wife, were now barren, but the ones who were desolate, spiritually speaking, were now about to bear children, for under new covenant times, the Gentiles were grafted in, and have now received the new covenant, and ever since Pentecost and beyond, the New testament church as been mainly comprised of Gentiles, and it is in that sense, that the children of the desolate are more than the married wife. But one day Israel shall receive Christ as a nation, which seems that it will take place, just before the time of the millennial reign. Now let us look at Galatians a bit more: Gal 4:19 (19) My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you, Gal 4:21-23 (21) Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law? (22) For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. (23) But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise. Gal 4:24-28 (24) Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. (25) For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. (26) But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. (27) For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.(28) Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. In verse 27 it starts with the word for, and for means because of what was previously mentioned. What was previously mentioned ? Well the New covenant was, which is by the free woman, which through that lineage it brought forth the promised one, which is Christ. One day the Gentiles will serve in some form, the nation of Israel, during the time of the millennial reign, and once again it will take it's rightful place. So we can see that our comparison of Galatians to Isaiah 54 points us to the new covenant which in Isaiah it says this: Isa 54:10 (10) For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee. The new covenant is this covenant of peace.

So we can see that both Isaiah 53 and 54, points to the new covenant, which chapter 53, points to the cross and Christ's road to the cross, and concerning Isaiah 54, we can see that Galatians quotes one of it's verses, and associates it with the new covenant.
Isa 54:10 (10) For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.
When Israel receives Christ as a nation, near the time of Christ's second coming, God's kindness never departs from them ever again, and they will be walking in the new covenant of peace.
We believers are the children of promise, for the promised Messiah as come, and we have received him as our Lord and saviour.
So now that we see the New covenant connections of Isaiah 53 and 54, now let us go on to Isaiah 55.

Now before I get unto chapter 55, I will quote something from John Wesley, concerning chapter 54.
(John Wesley)
(... And as the foregoing chapter literally speaks of Christ, so doth this of the church of Christ. This church, consisting at first of the Jews, and afterwards of the Gentiles, had been barren, 'till the coming of Christ. The desolate - The church of the Gentiles, which in the times of the Old Testament was desolate, does now bring forth to God a more numerous posterity than that of the Jews....)
And also I want to mention some of the Galatian verses:
Gal 4:24-28 (24) Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. (25) For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. (26) But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. (27) For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband. (28) Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.
Now we know that the Old covenant was given to the Jewish nation.
But were it is written the word "for", is in reference to Jerusalem which is above being free, which is used to point to freedom in Christ ( freedom from the bondage of sin) or the new covenant.
And under the New covenant, both the barren (Israel), and the desolate (Gentiles), can receive salvation, and then verse 28 says this:
Now we brethren, are the children of promise.
Most of the church of the Galatians were made up of Gentiles.
And most of the church today, is made up of Gentiles.

Isaiah 55
Isa 55:1-6 (1) Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. (2) Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. (3) Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. (4) Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people. (5) Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the LORD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee. (6) Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
In this chapter, it continues to talk about the Gentiles in some form.
And Isaiah had a message to the Israelites of his day, how that God would make an everlasing covenant with them.
What covenant is this referring to ?
And is there part of one of these verses mentioned in the new testament ?
