Some people say if I had this or if I had that I would help and give here and there.
And what about giving and sharing from what you have NOW?!
"Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down,
shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom.
For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you." - Luke 6:38
"Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the
seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness..." - 2 Corinthians 9
"For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance;
but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him." - Matthew 13:12
Or you will start saying, but there are so many rich people that give huge amounts. Mine will not make a difference.
Do not think like this but follow the example of the widow who gave more than all rich people.
"...Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all;
for all these out of their abundance have put in offerings for God, but she
out of her poverty put in all the livelihood that she had." - Luke 21:3-4
Because she gave all she had. So even if you are poor, if you give 90% of what you have then you are giving more than many rich people.
Because some rich people barely give 1% with fear of becoming poor as their trust is in money.
But 1% of 1 million is what?! 10 thousand... That is a lot to many! But nothing compared to what they have.
The poor who trust in God give 10, 20, 30, 50, 100% and they are not afraid.
"So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not
grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver." - 2 Corinthians 9:7
"But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly,
and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully." - 2 Corinthians 9:6
Yes, that is very common to see and I confess that I have been into such mindset.
People are waiting for more to share and give but they have forgotten to show, give, and share what they already have.
Then why are they expecting for more?! They have not been faithful in the least.
"...he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much." - Luke 16:10
I believe we all should stop and think, even if we can do little, little is something.
Now, if all the people actually contributed with the little they had... We would have much.
And how we expect our sowing to be increased when we are not even sowing to the best of our ability?!
"So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not
grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver." - 2 Corinthians 9:7
And this can apply to many things in our lives which includes but is not limited to:
Love, patience, kindness, faith, food, self control, etc...
Every tiny bit counts, and the more you exercise and show them the more will be given to you.
Because why should the Lord give you more of something you are not even using it?!
Then, let us show what we have. Let us use them!
"And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the
Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him." - Colossians 3:17
Do not expect others to move. Starting moving yourself!
"...lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor
rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal." - Matthew 6:19
"Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust
in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy." - 1 Timothy 6:17
"knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive
the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free." - Ephesians 6:8
Blessings to you in Jesus' name!
