Yes it's always teaching us something new and wonderful for us believers! I am near the end of the Old Testament... book of Amos. I have started to work through the New Testament too. Many years ago, I went through the Bible and counted the number of chapters, and divided them up by the number of days in the year. I figured out that if you read 4 chapters a day, you will finish in less than a year, and if you read 7 chapters a day, you can read through the Bible twice in a year. I don't always have time to read 7 chapters a day, but I did have a time in my life where I was able to do that 3 years in a row, so I completed the Bible 6 times in that period. It takes approximately 10 months to complete the Bible at 4 chapters per day, so I expect us to be finishing up around the end of October. We could possibly take a break and start over again on January 1, 2020, Lord willing.
That would be great... I figured if I read 3 chapters a day I could do it in a year but then I got sick and could not read for months... so I haven't read all the way through in this year. I will set a goal for next year though.

I wish I could have started this with you all. I was so sick in January. I am reading but not where you all are. I would love to do this next time with you so we could discuss things as we went... If the Lord allows, that would be great! I would like to do it again. The Bible is the book you never finish.
If you do this again, I would like to go through the Bible with you all too.

I am still planning on the week of June 16 for that through the New Testament in a week power read, if nothing happens to prevent it. At least, I will attempt it. That is a lot in a short amount of time. Maybe Letters will join us in going through the New Testament that week?

Last week was busy for me, so I failed to get the update in here last Monday, but hopefully everyone is on schedule anyway. As of last Monday, June 10, we should have finished up at Proverbs chapter 15.

Letters challenged us to try to read the entire New Testament in a week, so this is the week I chose to attempt to do that. As such, I have gone ahead a bit in my regular reading, but for those going through at 4 chapters a day, as of Monday, June 17, 2019, tomorrow, we should be finishing up Ecclesiastes 12. Like I said, I went a little ahead of that so I could focus on the New Testament challenge this week, and am actually in Isaiah, but if you are finishing up Ecclesiastes 12 tomorrow, you are right on target. Hopefully, we will have a lot of people reading through the entire Bible in 2019.
