Cletus, I am happy I found this forum. It's hard to talk about these things. But the Lord is good. I'm still repenting if anything I can think of. I fear I don't deserve salvation. Why should God save me when I just dumbly went along with spirits directly opposed to Him? How can I explain that when I stand before Him? I'm still alive. I want to make it right. you have done nothing I havent done. and honestly I have probably done worse. God can still cleanse you of sin, clean you up inside. He only made one of you so you are precious to Him. If He lost you He would be sad. While we were yet sinners Christ died for us. He paid the price. and Gods ways are not our ways. His ways are above our ways.
How can you explain any sin to God when you stand before Him... its quite possible we wont be standing, but thats another topic. the only correct answer is to point to Jesus and say He paid for my sin. Nothing else will suffice.
a humble and contrite spirit God will not despise... and your words show remorse for your sin. pour out your heart to God... rend your heart and not your clothes... weep for your sins while in prayer and you will see Gods compassion and mercy to you. God is faithful. God loves you so much... so much He has you where you are now... there is no good thing in the flesh. the only reason we would want to obey is because God would make us want to obey. so seek Him. ask for forgiveness and do not return to it because God is a jealous God.
none of us deserve salvation. but God is merciful. and God loves you so much. if you do your part on this you will learn more about His love to you.

Welcome to Narrow Way NaomiNash! It is good that you are starting with a repentant heart. God is ever so merciful and compassionate towards us! I plead the blood of Jesus over you and that He will cleanse you through the Power of the Holy Spirit. We all have made mistakes and have regrets but God will use it for His glory. You may be used in the future to help someone who might be in the situation you were in at some point. He never wastes anything! It is a good thing to just read and study your Bible and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you and give you understanding. Listen for that still small voice because God still speaks to us today and don't listen to other "pastors" or "teachers" for awhile until you can hone in on your discernment. Let the Holy Spirit be your teacher for He is the one that leads us into all truth! May the Lord guide you into the right place to live. May He shine His favor on you and bless you!

What 4hizglory37 said is so true. Teachers aren’t there to tell us what the Bible says. We must know it ourselves. Teachers expound on Scripture to help us dig deeper once we’ve moved past the basics. If a teacher is talking about a Bible verse/story you’re not familiar with, don’t rely on any assumptions that they’re right. Dig into the word yourself! When I post things here, I don’t want people to skim over it and think they’ve got it. I’m posting primers to (hopefully) inspire deeper thinking and study in others.
