My other Christian friends get touchy about demons and the occult.
It's like, "Don't get into all that unless someone's possessed!"
Ignorance is bliss? I get that. Demons are a terrifying thing to deal with when you realize how often we open the doors without even realizing it.
But at the same time...
Had I been equipped earlier, I could have saved all that medication drama and this psyche ward trips. Cause I had trauma but I've never actually been crazy at all.
Seriously. The fear of being crazy will make you crazy.
If you let it.
Jesus is the truth. Stick with Jesus.

Anything that carries on with the Greek psyche stuff is prone to be littered with demons. WHY? Because it is man made to try and fix spiritual with ritualistic and occult mantra and labels. Anything psyche centered is asking for demonic oppression. Even the so-called behavioral sciences are batting on a very sticky wicket. There is way too much shrinkism in our society. True spiritual stuff from the Lord is overshadowed by humanistic attempts to 'fix' what is broken. Give the kid psyche medicine when they are young and then wonder why they trip out on other drugs later on. We reap what we sow. And the church at large is way our of its depth in this arena. They really need some Smith Wigglesworth training!!

The fear of being crazy will make you crazy. If you let it. Jesus is the truth. Stick with Jesus. It can seem better at times to be going around in ignorance. I have even found myself asking people at times if they really want to know the truth, because I wasn't sure if they could handle it.
For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow. Ecclesiastes 1:18
At the same time, the devil takes advantage of our ignorance. It is hard to fight something when you don't understand it.
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge, because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee..." Hosea 4:6a
He was speaking to the priests in that verse, but the principle of being destroyed because of ignorance is true for anyone. The priests weren't showing the people the right way, so God was rejecting them. While you may be happier at times going through life ignorant, and wearing rose colored glasses, I would not choose that. I would still rather know the truth.
How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver! Proverbs 16:16
I would rather have wisdom and understanding than all the money in the world.

Each of us should watch and listen for the information we need to know. The Lord equips us for what we need as long as have an open mind. It’s unfruitful to run out and learn about things you can’t control or start a fight you can’t win. We have to abide in our calling. We should not be ignorant to the schemes of the enemy — when the Lord tells us we’re fighting a bad spirit, we should believe Him — but we should let Him lead the way.
I’ve seen people waste money on drugs that don’t help because they were really in a spiritual war. But by the same token, I’ve also seen sick children repeatedly subjected to demoralizing deliverance sessions that don’t heal them. There isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution. We need Holy Spirit instruction for each individual case.
And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. — John 9:2-3

2 Corinthians 2:11
“Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.”

I've fallen into both extremes. However, I believe God is leading me to a balance. It's just that I'm being tested so hard. It's hard to relax and trust God and not feel condemned over everything and not feel afraid. I'm just glad that other people go through this and it's not just me.

Just some thoughts here of what I've gleaned over the years, sister, by the grace of God. Pride is at the root of occult knowledge. We should not go where angels fear to tread, because we mere little things are no match for the devil. God is the only source of knowledge that we need, as we learn to trust in Him and no longer ourselves. It's both unnecessary and defiling to know the deep things of Satan.....if anyone knows too much already they can repent and renounce it wholeheartedly, if they are willing to give it up and leave it on the altar, and the Lord can cleanse and purify the mind. The battle is the LORD's not ours....we are only to be the horses that He rides into battle.
Rev 2:24
‘But I say to you, the rest who are in Thyatira, who do not hold this teaching, who have not known the deep things of Satan, as they call them—I place no other burden on you.

Is it better to be unaware of Satan's schemes? Well, God knows when it is better you do not know of something. Just as He did here:
"...God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near;
for God said,
“Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and return to Egypt.”" - Exodus 13:17
We do not need to know all things. We just need to watch and trust in Him.
Blessings!
