If you want to know the full extent of what we’re up against within the church, watch this. It’s long, but it’s very enlightening. Sister Candance brought this video into a thread, and having finished viewing it, I thought it was worth having in the video section.

It really is frightening what we’re up against. I couldn't believe they sang "Highway To Hell" in a church service and everyone didn't storm out! It was probably true for most there.

The part that scared me more was how many of those pastors sounded totally nasty and hostile. They didn’t even sound like nice people. They sounded like a boss on a production line.

There was one preacher going off on a rant on a video. In one church service, they were singing "I Love Rock n Roll." "Highway To Hell" took the sting off of that. Then you had them working with Muslims and even homosexuals in a social gospel, and telling people they could be saved without repenting of their sins. Everyone should watch this video.

The celebrity pastor (who answers to no one but himself) gets a “vision” from God that he should play AC/DC or talk about graphic sex for the amusement of wordly unbelievers, and if this makes you uncomfortable they will squeeze you out of the church. Don’t ask for Bible teaching or anointed prayer services! An abstract notion of “doing good” is as deep as it gets. Church is one big party where maybe they’ll inspire you to be a bit nicer to your neighbors. And behind closed doors, there are threats of lawsuits if you whistleblow about the money.
This is like a mix between Goldman Sachs and the mafia.

What you are getting in the modern churches today is largely entertainment. I remember one time tuning into Rod Parsley's church, and they were wearing party hats and singing the Kool And The Gang song, "Celebration." Someone I know used to attend this large Baptist Church near Atlanta, and let me see a dvd of their Christmas play. They did include a traditional telling of the birth of Jesus, but also had an elaborate dance production with secular music that had nothing to do with Jesus. They did draw a huge crowd.

Thanks sister......I got from it so clearly how the church is blending with the world instead of being separate from the world, wow. They are captives of the devil doing his will, and they know it not. Everything they say comes from their own mind rather than the word of God...the way that seemeth right but leads to death. It's so important to have our thoughts captive to God's word and not let our mind wander around of its own accord. So to them its not about saving souls any more, but saving from circumstances. Not about reforming souls but about reforming the world. Nobody needs to walk away from their old pagan religion when they embrace this form of "Christianity"....so it becomes a blending of their old paganism and their new found "Christianity"...that is exactly a hallmark of what happens when people embrace Roman Catholicism.....so to them I guess the protest is over.
And he was right the church has become a den of thieves again in the last days, making merchandise of the people.....so much buying and selling going on.....of souls as well as their lying doctrines in books, CDs, speaking engagements, TV appearances, etc......no wonder the merchants will stand afar off aghast and dismayed when it all comes to an end and "Babylon" is destroyed. Interesting that driving out the money-lenders was something Jesus did at the start of His ministry, and again at the end of it. Love of money is the root of all evil and no man can serve two masters.

So completely deceived.....sad! That is not the gospel....it's not the faith that Jesus came to bring us and set the example that we should follow.

This is horrible.... and confirms why I (and so many others) am having such a hard time finding a real, solid, Bible-teaching church. I can't stand to go and hear all about the world ... movie references, or celebrities, or secular songs... it's heartbreaking and truly sad that they even call this "church."

We were listening to KLOVE the other day and the announcers are so bad about trying to fit in with the world. Matt said, "If I wanted to hear about Hollywood, I wouldn't be listening to a Christian station. Why do they think they need to talk about that? It has nothing to do with God." This, coming from a 16 year old young man.
