Seriously, it’s like you’ve never read the whole story. Job’s friends went on and on trying to get him to admit he deserved it. That’s the whole story!!!! And God said they were wrong! Never once did God rebuke Job for trying to ‘insure’ his future. Correct. Anyone that dare criticize Job needs to be very careful. They are to be admonished. Job talked with the Lord High God. Job knew about the Lord's council members that were not to be trusted (ref: Ps 82). These are the Archons, the principalities and powers that Saul mentions. If any one of us were to be blessed as was Job we would be over the moon. Job is one of my heroes!! . Anyone who dares question demandingly or criticize God or His Word/Law/commandments needs to be very careful. They are to be admonished and will be judged/cursed by God if they do not repent.
Yes, Job talked with the Lord God and he demanded for an answer from God as to why he was suffering. Imagine that.! Later he repented of this sin against God. ....... . JOB.42:1-6 (NKJV) = Job’s Repentance and Restoration
42 Then Job answered the Lord and said:
2 “I know that You can do everything, And that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You. 3 You asked, ‘Who is this who hides counsel without knowledge?’ Therefore I have uttered what I did not understand, Things too wonderful for me, which I did not know. 4 Listen, please, and let me speak; You said, ‘I will question you, and you shall answer Me.’
5 “I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, But now my eye sees You. 6 Therefore I abhor myself, And repent in dust and ashes.”

@abby-Joy . The relevant question is whether the suffering in the Story of Job was a curse/judgment for ignorant sin or a test of faith.? Also, whether the suffering of the Apostles of Christ a test of faith or a curse/judgment for sin or evil deed.? What does the Word of God say.? Concerning Job, here is what the Lord said to Satan.
And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, althought thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without a cause. Job 2:3
Job did not go through any of these attacks because he had sinned. . REV.2:10 (NKJV) = 10 Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. . The Lord Jesus Christ said that God tests the faith of His people by permitting the devil to afflict them with suffering from persecution and/or martyrdom by evil unbelievers. Job was not suffering persecution and/or martyrdom by evil unbelievers = God was not testing his faith = Job was suffering for his ignorant sin against God, which he was not aware of. Job later even committed another ignorant sin against God by demanding an answer from Him as to why he was suffering.(JOB.30 & 42:1-6)

Job later even committed another ignorant sin against God by demanding an answer from Him as to why he was suffering.(JOB.30 & 42:1-6) Job's transgression was things he said while under attack. He did not suffer the attack because he feared he might lose what he had. God himself says different.
And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? Job 1:8

In addition to the fact that God says this twice, before we even get to God's comments to Satan, in Job 1:1 it says...
There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.
I don't care how many times you repeat the lie that Job suffered because he was in sin, God and scripture are in opposition to you.

. 1JOHN.5:18-21 (NKJV) = Knowing the True—Rejecting the False
18 We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.
19 We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.
20 And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen. .
The Word of God says that Satan cannot attack those who do not sin = Satan has the right or justification to attack those who commit sins/evil-works/Law-breaking. God permits this to happen. This is the usual or general case with Satan and sins/evil-deeds. So, the evidence from the Word mostly point to Job being permissively attacked by Satan for committing an ignorant sin, ie it was not a test of his faith by God permitting Satan to attack him.

Like I said before, Job did not sin against his neighbors or other people = perfect/blameless in this respect = JOB.1:8. He only sinned ignorantly against God(= JOB.1:5 & 3:25) - a sin/evil-deed that was not deserving of the death penalty, as demanded by Satan at JOB.2:3.

In the case of Job, there is a simple answer to this. Job had done nothing wrong. That is stated 3 times, twice directly by God. Notice what the devil says to God after the Lord tells him what a good man Job is. Job 1:9-12
Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? Hast not thou made a hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face. And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.
Clearly, Satan was unable to touch Job, as God had a hedge of protection around him, and he had to be granted special permission to attack him. Even if there is something to what you are saying about the scripture in 1 John, you are wrong about Job.
As far as the scripture goes in 1 John, I am willing to explore that further. We can't ignore things in the Bible, and if I expect you to acknowledge that these attacks came upon Job when he wasn't guilty of sin, because the Bible plainly says that is the case, I need to acknowledge the verse you provided and look into it closer. I may split this thread, since it is no longer about health insurance.

. Suffering for whatever reasons, does not justify sinning against God, like what Job did, ie demanding for an answer from God for his suffering. That was why I previously stated against the OSASers at WCF that Gentile Christians who go and willfully sin unrepentantly or ignorantly will suffer for their sins(= breaking the essential or non-burdensome laws of God, cf; GAL.5:19-21) and while in suffering they may lose their faith and salvation by cursing God/Jesus and die. An ignorant and willfully sinning Gentile Christian suffering terminal cancer may curse God/Jesus and die. ....... JOB.2:9 (NKJV) = 6 And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, he is in your hand, but spare his life.”
7 So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord, and struck Job with painful boils from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head. 8 And he took for himself a potsherd with which to scrape himself while he sat in the midst of the ashes.
9 Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!”
10 But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips.

Satan accused Job of loving the Father only because he was blessed with all that he had.
Satan thinks that love can be bought, that without bribes there is no love.
God proved Satan wrong. True love does exist, even when the Lord allows it all to be taken away, and brings us low ....his true children will still love him despite all that's going on. They do not switch masters.
Satan did not know that true love exists from God's children. God showed him and Satan hates this fact. He is so jealous, but most likely still cannot comprehend.
Out of the whole story of Job, this is the main message that I personally get out of it. Job may of sinned a little, but out of distress. Job knew that God was allowing this, but didn't understand why? He didn't hear that conversation between God and Satan. He is only flesh, and there is not one man who ever walked this earth without sin but Christ. If Job was perfect, then Christ died in Vain. No man is perfect. God goes straight into the heart, and in Job's heart was perfect worship and true love. Not a perfect man, but perfect worship. All good intentions. This story was to teach us. The details are given to us, not to Job. He passed the test anyway and the Lord blessed him seven times for what he put him through. Job was expecting death.

. JOB.1:5 (NKJV) = 5 So it was, when the days of feasting had run their course, that Job would send and sanctify them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, “It may be that my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” Thus Job did regularly.
JOB.3:25 = 25 For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me, And what I dreaded has happened to me. . . It is a sin against God to offer burnt offerings to God for "maybe" sins/evil-deeds of your sons. There are no "maybe" sins/evil-deeds in the Bible. I know of nothing in the Bible that would indicate it was a sin for Job to offer burnt offerings in case his sons sinned. Nobody is even sure of the exact time period Job lived. It was likely long before the law of Moses was given.
. . LEV.4 (NKJV) = The Sin Offering
4 Now the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘If a person sins unintentionally against any of the commandments of the Lord in anything which ought not to be done, and does any of them, 3 if the anointed priest sins, bringing guilt on the people, then let him offer to the Lord for his sin which he has sinned a young bull without blemish as a sin offering. 4 He shall bring the bull to the door of the tabernacle of meeting before the Lord, lay his hand on the bull’s head, and kill the bull before the Lord. 5 Then the anointed priest shall take some of the bull’s blood and bring it to the tabernacle of meeting. 6 The priest shall dip his finger in the blood and sprinkle some of the blood seven times before the Lord, in front of the veil of the sanctuary. 7 And the priest shall put some of the blood on the horns of the altar of sweet incense before the Lord, which is in the tabernacle of meeting; and he shall pour the remaining blood of the bull at the base of the altar of the burnt offering, which is at the door of the tabernacle of meeting. 8 He shall take from it all the fat of the bull as the sin offering. The fat that covers the entrails and all the fat which is on the entrails, 9 the two kidneys and the fat that is on them by the flanks, and the fatty lobe attached to the liver above the kidneys, he shall remove, 10 as it was taken from the bull of the sacrifice of the peace offering; and the priest shall burn them on the altar of the burnt offering. 11 But the bull’s hide and all its flesh, with its head and legs, its entrails and offal— 12 the whole bull he shall carry outside the camp to a clean place, where the ashes are poured out, and burn it on wood with fire; where the ashes are poured out it shall be burned.
13 ‘Now if the whole congregation of Israel sins unintentionally, and the thing is hidden from the eyes of the assembly, and they have done something against any of the commandments of the Lord in anything which should not be done, and are guilty; 14 when the sin which they have committed becomes known, then the assembly shall offer a young bull for the sin, and bring it before the tabernacle of meeting. ...
22 ‘When a ruler has sinned, and done something unintentionally against any of the commandments of the Lord his God in anything which should not be done, and is guilty, 23 or if his sin which he has committed comes to his knowledge, he shall bring as his offering a kid of the goats, a male without blemish. ...
27 ‘If anyone of the common people sins unintentionally by doing something against any of the commandments of the Lord in anything which ought not to be done, and is guilty, 28 or if his sin which he has committed comes to his knowledge, then he shall bring as his offering a kid of the goats, a female without blemish, for his sin which he has committed. .......
. According to the Word of God at LEV.4, Job had sinned against God by making burnt offerings for his sons' "maybe" sins/evil-deeds or as you said, "in case his sons sinned", even though the relevant Word was only revealed about 400 years later after the Story of Job. A sin offering that was burned was for known or actual unintentional sins against God's Law, not for "maybe" sins or in case someone sins. ....... That's the concept of insurance, ie you pay money monthly into a common pool, in case you later get a huge bill for hospitalization or for repairs to damaged property or in case you die young with unpaid home mortgage or in case of etc.
Similarly, even though the Word/Jesus(= the Word became flesh) was only revealed about 1500 years after the Story of Moses, it did not mean that for Moses and the Jews, salvation was not by faith in Jesus Christ or the Word.(cf; 1PETER.3:19 & 4:6) IOW, Moses and the Jews were also not saved by the Law.
. P S - Ignorance of the Law is no excuse.
