Actually Adam blamed God saying "The woman you gave me" He was right there when the serpent was talking to Eve and when Eve said that if she ate the fruit that she would die....Adam didn't correct her or say things like, hey, don't listen to that serpent and his lies. He did not step up to the role of spiritual head and leader. You are right Cletus, men will be held of a higher responsibility. Gen 3:12 And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
he blamed Eve and God. He also owned up to it but he was pointing the finger of blame at both God and Eve but check this part out...
Gen 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
Adam was there. He saw it go down. He was with her.
Gen 2:15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. Gen 2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: Gen 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. Gen 2:18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
Eve was not even created when God commanded Adam not to eat. God knows everything... God knew the moment they ate because that breath of life died in them and they had a dead spirit. disconnected from God. no more constant fellowship. sin brought death that day just as God said. It was mans job not only to tend the garden but to be head of the family too.
yup, yup, that's what I was saying, Adam was right there with her and didn't tell her!

yup, yup, that's what I was saying, Adam was right there with her and didn't tell her! Adam loved his Eve more than God. And that is a key aspect to "disposable marriages" marriage is a covenant between God, a man, and a woman. not just a man and woman. If both man and woman are not both looking to God, the marriage is like a train derailment. If you have never seen one, i have worked on the rail road... its the worst "wreck" ever. when a mans heart is set on his woman more than God He is failing at His marriage. when a woman wants to manipulate and control and be deceptive she is not submissive to God, his will, or the covenant of the very first thing God instituted... marriage. and if the baby is already out the window with the bath water... why not just go ahead and not honor Gods ways about marriage. the problem of failed marriages is of the heart, and it starts way before bill of divorce. more than likely it starts before "I do" but hey everything else in our society is disposable these days. what is the standard? what has value? where your treasure is, there will be your heart also... and if God isnt in the marriage God wont sustain it. He wont force people to honor Him. Its up to us to bow the knee and ask Him.
Ecc 4:9 Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. Ecc 4:10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. Ecc 4:11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? Ecc 4:12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
by not honoring God we give the enemy, that thief, foothold to come and rob us of the beauty and joy found in Gods order. And lets just be honest... for many people being disposable dont stop at just the first marriage. I know guys who have had four and five wives.

I do not want that either... and to be clear men are more on the hook than women because they are to be the head of household and even in church. When God came walking in the cool of the evening in the garden and called out to Adam... He spoke to Adam first. Adam blamed his wife and then God spoke to Eve. so lets just acknowledge this... men are uhm... i dont know the word but i know the scripture... to whom much is given much is expected. men have more of a responsibility on certain things than a woman does and this accountability is to God. God has a lot of names, but none of them is Milton Bradley.... He aint playing games. I have heard people make that claim, but there is no proof that Adam was right there when the serpent was talking with Eve. He may have been, but many not have been either. It is like the question over whether or not Adam even knew where the fruit came from when Eve handed it to him. The consequences would have been the same regardless, because eating of that fruit would open one's eyes to the knowledge of good and evil.
You are right about him blaming God. I never actually considered that.

You are right. In the way it is worded, it does appear that Adam was with her. It is possible that she took of the fruit and brought it to her husband and they ate it together, which is how I always looked at it. I didn't think she ate it immediately in front of the serpent and gave it to her husband, but when you look at how it is worded, it does appear that is how it occurred. If that was the case, Adam certainly should have stepped in and put a stop to things immediately.

This is well put. It is so sad that these things get out of hand so easily. I can attest to my errors and failings, but then the woman (like a terrier with a slipper) gets hold of this and realizes that the state is behind her (mandatory child support) then she can do whatever she wants. She may have rebelled in the first place, but only he gets put out of the garden and she is free to put on her cape and be a hero. Society seems to fall over backwards to support and sustain a 'single mom'. She becomes the heroine and he - well, he is just a nasty little man that she shields the kids against. She cuts him off with a vengeance and the state supports her. She may have professed to be a Christian but she feels the Lord has given her the right to do all this... she might even quote scripture to support this action and its ensuing devastation. Then she goes looking for a 'better' husband and father.Oh beloved, behold this is a CROCK...

To be honest I agree with this completely. I would estimate that 80% of women in Western society are functionally unstable with psychopathic tendencies. Is it 80 percent? I would say a clear majority, but the men are screwed up too. I think a lot has to do with not understanding their role. It has created confusion.
And we KNOW GOD is not the author of confusion . THE ENEMY has done this and sadly many have loved to have this so . Hear the parable of the confused seed . The goodman planted pure seed from which would sprout a plant of truth , for it is the planting of the LORD . But along the way came a teacher of men and sowed diverse seed into the ground . And through all ages the two grew together . Then after a long time the farmer came and said to the Goodmen . Did you not plant pure seed a seed that would honor all things the Father has said , why then do we have these fruits which cannot produce of their selves and are so confused they cannot tell what their own making and have decided to create themselves a whole new creation of divers and strange sexes , a planting NOT OF THE LORD . And the Goodman replied this is the result of the enemy who has come to sow nothing but confusion and strife , error and wickedness . And worse many who have claimed His name are encumbered with its pc light . And the servant replied , but what shall we do . And the goodman said , Did I not say that near the end inquity would abound and the love of many would wax cold . let them be the planting of the enemy will be burned in the day of the LORD . And be not troubled my faithful servant , I HAVE A REMNANT and they WILL NEVER BOW THE KNEE to this puke . These will die and die spreading truth and will have all joy no matter what comes against them . For their hope is real , FOR its in the LORD .

For the rooster that was born a hen calls and crocks loudly the song of the crock of doodle dung . What was taught as light , is now attacked as darkness, what was once truth is now spouted against as though it were a lie . And for all this shall many soon buy THE LIE of the song sung by the largest rooster of many diverse feathers is singing . Yet on the day of the LORD this mighty rooster of all inclusive pc songs , will be stripped bare of all HER honor . FOR she was not rooster from birth but a hen and all roles she did change . She twisted all that was good unto her own destruction , and though many feathers did grow and her appearance became as a rooster , She was but a hen . Women lead my people and have caused them to err , FOR the men who loved lies have caused all to err .
