Interested in hardrock? How about Kiss band? Hello KimerM. We don't allow the promotion of concert tickets here, but it was nice of you to stop by to share your love of music. Do you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior? Nobody has any assurance of tomorrow. I was just sharing about the tragic death of Bon Scott, and how I am sure he wishes someone had led him off the highway to hell, as he has been experiencing the flames since 1980. If you aren't saved but want to be repent of your sins and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and follow him.

Here's something interesting to show you it's a small world. Bon Scott lived in Fremantle not far from where I live. One of my uncle's who has since passed away used to be very good mates with him in the 70's. The "highway to hell" song was about the Canning Highway which took him from Fremantle to a pub where he would drink in South Perth called the Raffles Hotel (which is still there today) That road had a big dip in it and at that particular spot there were many accidents and fatalities. He traveled this road frequently to drink with his mates. This is where he got the inspiration for the lyrics, but sadly, Satan used that song for many to sing along to. Imagine how happy he must feel hearing millions of people singing those depressing lyrics and getting all excited over it?

Sister I might have seen you in Australia . We made port in freemantle and would take cabs or that train thing to perth where we stayed in some motel for five days . It was back in nineteen hundred and ninety five . In fact it was during the thanksgiving holiday . But then again I might not have seen you . I was a drinking clown back then and would visit about every pub known with other marines . Don't miss one ounce of all that . But Australia reminded me of texas , at least when I was sober enough to recognize where I was . When the LORD changes one , HE CHANGES ONE .

I had not heard that story about the inspiration for the song. The thing that is so bad about it is the fact that it makes out like hell is a wonderful place where it is just one big party. Someone who doesn't know better, and is into the rock n roll lifestyle would believe it, and like Bon Scott, want to go to "the promised land." When you consider the words to the song, and how quickly he died after that song was released, it was like God said, you want to go to hell, and don't want anyone to stop you, I will grant you your wish.
As for the post about hard rock, our visitor was promoting a Kiss tour, and I removed the link. Even back in the 70s, I was never a fan of Kiss. "Beth" was probably their best song, and it was their biggest hit, but I heard they don't sing it on tour because the people that go to see them don't like the mellow sound. They go to see them do all hard rock songs. I don't know if our visitor was really a Kiss fan and going around to different message boards posting the information or was just doing that as a prank.

I would of been around 26 yrs old then. And yes I used to frequent pubs all the time because so many people I know are in bands. I was just starting to write music and looking to find my feet in that industry. Those were my darkest years away from the Lord. Many lessons learned back then from many mistakes. Satan can give us a talent only to destroy us. My talent was not from God and I don't think anyone can change my mind on that. I was living in sin and the enemy used music to take that sin onto a higher level. I walked away from all that now. It consumed me to no end. I don't write songs, sing anymore or play instruments. That part of me is dead because it's connected to some very bad memories and connected to vanity and the world. I don't even hardly listen to the radio. All my old C'D's are covered in dust and cobwebs. The only songs I hear is truth. There is a whole orchestra playing in my head when I hear it.
As for you being in Fremantle, what a small world! I remember all the girls over here used to go crazy for the US Marines when they arrived to Port. And I mean really crazy. They still do. I was never into that however.

I didn't hear that story from my uncle but from my husband who heard it on the radio. So who knows if it's true or not? I always hated that song, and the other one "Hells Bells". My brother was playing that song the night he died. We had an argument the day before over the bible, as my brother didn't believe, and I was into my 4th year of reading the scriptures quietly. The conversation got quite heated and my brother blasphemed and cursed God quite badly. I was in shock that he could say such words to me and especially about God. The next day he got severely bashed by some thugs at a shopping mall and that same night after he played "Hells Bells" on full volume, ... then only hours after - he got killed. It took me 10 years to get over because I knew that God judged my brother on the spot, and there was no comfort on my behalf for my brothers soul. He was only nearly turning 16.
In the 80's ACDC were very big over here and every teenager had their records thumping. They kind of class it as Australian culture now which is true because Australia has absolutely nil believers in the Lord - except for the churchgoers and you don't bump into them that often. Most Australians are atheists. I speak to a lot of teenagers and many of them know nothing about Jesus, or even heard the story of Adam and Eve. Can you believe that! They know zilch. This generation and nation is completely devoid of Christ and they all get it from the parents. Even their oldies have lost their faith. All have a bad story to tell about church or the people associated with it (mainly Catholic and Anglican) It is really sad. The older people are really outspoken in their unbelief and I like to really give it to them to wake them up. This nation is so godless and I blame the government and Academia for instilling this unbelief into our children. They start them in schools where they indoctrinate them into believing there is no God and accepting abominations as a normal way of life. The USA has more faith than over here, but you have more people. Faith is destroyed here. They are ready for the Mark of the Beast and will welcome it. I warn as as many as I can, and you have to go outside of the Christian Forums and churches to do that. It's the sick who need the doctor. Face book is a good place to warn, but never any likes. Slowly they start blocking you.

I was never in the rock n roll lifestyle. I grew up listening to Top 40 music, and would listen to it as a way of escape. I thank God I never got into the drugs, fornication, smoking or drunkenness. Still, I did listen to AC/DC. I had the "Back In Black" record. I got exposed to their music when the title song reached the top 40. I never liked "Hells Bells" because of the lyrics, and I never liked "Highway To Hell" for the same reason. I always liked their style, but not those awful lyrics, as I knew many would believe hell to be a good place. I wasn't raised in church so much, but I was raised to believe in God, and I knew hell was a place of torment, not a place of parties and fun. I saw a television show about the band AC/DC and from that, I knew that Bon Scott was really into the sinful lifestyle. Surprisingly, everyone says the other band members weren't really like that. It was all image, but still, people follow them and think they are cool, and that makes what they are doing dangerous, even if they aren't full speed into the debauchery. They just lived longer, although one of the group members died recently of an illness.

Sister your description of Australia is exactly what they have done n America with the schools and so on too . The thing is , I hear these same stories from others in other countries . WE really are in the last days . JESUS said it would be and look like this . the love of many waxing ice cold and inquity going through the roof . At least we have one another and PRAISE THE LORD we have THE LORD . narrow way is a tiny place for us lambs to gather . You are loved dear sister . We got to dig in only deeper and cling to holy scriptures and our LORD only more and exhort and encourage only more one another .

We were all wicked things . PRAISE THE LORD FOR HIS MERCY and THE CHANGE and new desires . The truth is , most of you all sound like saints compared to how and what I was . TRULY when I say the grace of GOD changes a person . GOODNESS IT TRULY DOES . But that is just it , you can know a tree by its fruits . IF GOD changed me , who was one of the worst , then those who I hear today praise his name yet live in willfull sin , I KNOW don't know HIM . Because THE BLOOD has power to change the worst man into a whole new creature in Christ . Their is no such thing as a half turned man , well their is , but he aint really saved . God changes that heart . I KNOW IT and have experienced it . If a man can walk n willfull sin and yet holler grace grace and all Is well , that man KNOWS NOT GOD nor the POWER of HIM .

I havn't heard of any cases but found this short video from April last year. Notice they like to depict the chip in the left hand to detract?
Revelation 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

Thanks to this wonderful, cancer causing microchip implant, rather than stealing your wallet or pocketbook to get your credit cards, muggers will start cutting off hands.

Maybe that's why they will start inserting it in the foreheads?
