I just came back from the deli and I saw a woman in there wearing man's shorts and a man's singlet (the type truck drivers wear) and boots. She had her head shaved and I thought about our conversation. I could tell from behind that she was a woman because a woman's body is different from a man's and I can tell the difference....., so this woman wearing man's clothes really stood out that she wanted to appear masculine. As for men wearing woman's jeans or pants it would be very hard because each are designed to fit the male or female body. Men's hips are higher, and women's lower. A man's bottom is lower and a woman's higher. So clothes are tailored to fit the gender. A woman can wear man's jeans however, but they don't fit right. They would have to be bigger in my opinion or she wouldn't fit her hips in there. i saw on youtube a couple men who wear makeup. they still dress like a man but they wear make up. they say things like its normal and ok for men to wear make up. and they give reasons like if you just want to cover up a blemish or ... i dont even want to say it. it kinda makes my stomach churn.
and its done got to where if you say thats sick or wrong your just a homophobe or a hater. oh well, guess i am a bigot, because thats disgusting. and they talk like a girl and you can tell they are drama queens.
these two men have their own make up line of products they market. one is from the UK and i forgot where the other is. the other one dresses feminine too.
the word glam/glamour keeps popping up in their videos too.
ok im done. i dont want to speak on this anymore. its to early in the morning for effeminate stuff.
Hi Cletus,
I think that it's disgusting also that men do that, so you are not alone there. This is over the top. I also noticed recently that many men are wearing their semi long hair in a bun or high pony tail. This disturbs me as I think this is a feminine hairdo.

Let me first thank God that we are in a agreement that man buns just aren't Christian.
But I'm still finding error in Butero's argument.
First we have to define what biblical genders are for. Only then will we get anywhere on the pants vs skirts debate.
Today I wore a long flowy black skirt. I got MORE male attention. And not just the "you look nice" keep ND either.
If modesty is about suppressing sin, than I'm in a lose-lose situation. Men lust when I wear pants, they lust when I wear long flowy skirts that blow in the wind.
But if we flip it and approach it from an angle of "what does God appreciate the most" than the question of what to wear becomes easier.
That answer changes in every culture, time of day, and even social situation --- especially for women doing all that is expected of them by everyone.
So,
Sometimes it's spiritually advantageous to wear skirts. I never wear pants to church, for example.
But other times, in bad places with bad men who do bad things--- put those pants on! The Lord would not have his daughters vulnerable around every man and every spirit. That's why discernment of Spirits is so important.

I actually really didn't like or wear jeans before I came to Oregon. They were too hot to wear in California. But, seeing how it is very cold here in the winter, I have grown accustomed to wearing jeans. When I am out doing my chores outside, I am wearing jeans. I don't think it would be practical for me to be wearing a dress while climbing over fences. LOL......
I will wear dresses or dress pants when I go to church. But still, in the winter, I will wear jeans to church.. I am not being irreverent but our church is casual. I will wear a nice blazer jacket or sweater with my jeans. Sunday is about the only time I kind of dress up, ya know? I've really got no place to go and dress nice. hahahaha

I worked with a woman at Wal-Mart back in the 90s who told me she wore men's jeans because she was tall and couldn't find jeans that were large enough in the women's department. I couldn't tell. The man I encountered in California said that pants that belonged to his girlfriend fit him good, and thought it was funny they could wear the same clothes without anyone being aware of it. I have been in a lot of discussions on the subject of women in pants, and every time someone would bring up a new argument, the Lord would have me in a place to see something that confirmed I was right. I just happened to go into a little store next to a place I was delivering in Truckee, California, when that man was talking to the store clerk. I can tell you stories about experiences I had that must have been the Lord, because of the timing.

It would have been 60 years ago, but not today. To me, it is obvious that women in pants are doing something that is not pleasing to God, and are wearing masculine style clothes, but I know that those who will receive this are those it is intended to receive it. One of the issues that caused me to leave one church was when women were suddenly allowed to lead the singing wearing jeans or pants, when it was not allowed in the past. As I said earlier, I can see the necessity of overalls or pants in extreme situations, but certainly not in everyday life or in church. This is one area where I am in total agreement with Apostolic churches, conservative Independent Baptists and conservative Mennonite congregations.

I grew up in a day where every man wore a suit and tie to church and every woman wore their best dress. I still do that today out of respect for God's house. I don't wear a suit driving a truck. I can tell you that while rare, I have seen holiness women with long hair and a dress driving team with their husbands in a big rig.

Well Butero, I wore a dress this past Sunday as I led the Worship. I asked the Holy Spirit and I felt convicted, I so want to please my Lord Jesus. Thanks for your input. I've repented and will try and wear a dress, or nice pants but not jeans. I:D know the Lord sees my heart and that is to honor Him with everything that I am.
Praise the Name of Jesus!

When a long period of time goes by, and something becomes normalized that didn't used to be, people don't even consider there might be a problem. Things changed drastically in 1970 when a court decision forced public schools to allow girls to wear pants, where it was forbidden before that. It makes me think of that McKameys song, "Getting used To The Dark." That is good you cared enough to pray about it. Most just dismiss it.

Sometimes I look at women in pants and can really see the immodesty. There's just something so beautiful about women who are modest and demonstrate self-respect. I don't know if I'll ever be ready to never wear pants again. But I definitely prefer wearing dresses and skirts out in public. And I couldn't imagine wearing form-fitting pants to church. However I don't want to look down on even obviously immodest women. Everyone has a story and you may not know why they're dressed like that. Some women have been molested by church leaders in their Sunday dresses so they prefer to dress more masculine. It's not my place to condemn them, only demonstrate the love of Christ.

Luke 12:22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.
Luke 12:23 The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.
Man says consider what you will put on?
Luke 12:24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
Luke 12:25 And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?
Luke 12:26 If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?
In other words why are ye worrying about the carnal,....the material? The "least" we can do is worry about the spiritual.
Luke 12:27 Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Luke 12:28 If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?
Luke 12:29 And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
Luke 12:30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
Luke 12:31 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Those scriptures aren't saying what we wear doesn't matter, anymore than they are saying what we eat doesn't matter. They are only saying God will provide, so we don't need to worry.

I don't think the intent of the heart is necessarily to do anything sinful. Most preachers wouldn't touch this subject with a 10 foot pole, so few even know there is an issue. They know it when they see men cross dressing, but not women.
