Job 1:1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil. Job 1:2 And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters. Job 1:3 His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east. Job 1:4 And his sons went and feasted in their houses, every one his day; and sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them. Job 1:5 And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.
here is a scripture that shows Job was so concerned about honoring God, about Living to God... being a Living sacrifice, even of those in his family, it was heavy on his mind and heart. Do we live this way? Do we have this level of concern for ourselves and even for others round us? It says he feared God and eschewed evil. Do we take time in our lives to observe all we do if it lines up with Gods word?
I didnt make this thread to just speak on Job and to compare ourselves. i want to press into scriptures. I want to press into what each of us say concerning how we honor God, and things God has shown us about righteous living. whatever The LORD puts on your heart or in your mind about this, do not hesitate to post it. even if it seems out of place or not following the conversation... this thread is not about that.
it is my belief our blessings, promises, and even our anointing hinges on obedience. Concerning Holiness unto The LORD, what saith thou?

I believe the Holy Spirit has been drawing me closer and closer, I just want more and more of Jesus. I want to live for Him! I am pressing into Him more and more so that when it comes that time where I am asked, do I believe in Jesus and if I am to die for Jesus, I am willing to die for Him joyfully and without fear!
I want to be holy because He is holy. I want to be a light so that all will know who Jesus is and that He is our only hope. I want Him to lay bear anything that is not pleasing to Him. I want to be that pure and spotless bride when He comes because I truly believe with all of my heart we are that last generation.
WE MUST SET ASIDE AND FORSAKE ALL THINGS FOR JESUS! HE HAS DONE SO MUCH FOR US AND for me personally, I just want to give everything I have for Him. I want to pray more, spend more time in His Word, talk with Him more.... I don't always do it but these are my true desires.
I want Him to do with me whatever He needs to do so that if I could be used to save even one soul by sharing the gospel of Jesus and planting that seed, it would be worth it.

For the blood washed, born again believer, holiness is being sanctified, truly following His Word no matter where it leads. It is being obedient children. It is being a doer of the Word and not a hearer only.

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. 2 Cor. 6:17,18

2Co 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. I like this verse. Perfecting Holiness in the fear of God. The word for perfecting in the Greek here means to fulfill further, and when we look at the root words it means to bring to an end. this aligns with other biblical standards such as continuing and persevering in Christ until the end, and running our race with endurance... all the way to the finish line. And it also says LET US cleanse OURSELVES from all filthiness of flesh AND spirit. This shows its not none of that hyper grace stuff. we must do something. must put forth effort. we have to seek God to purchase of Him gold and silver... we must buy extra oil for our lamp. 1Pe 1:13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 1Pe 1:14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: 1Pe 1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; 1Pe 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. all manner of conversation. no idle words. oh this holiness thing is getting deep. getting ingrained in our lives. in how we live and even how we speak. and its not optional, its commanded of us. to Be like Him. Psa 119:9 BETH. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. It is by His word we live. this is our standards. this is where our bar is to be raised. what we strive for. If we do not take heed according to His Word we will go our own way, and He is The Way, The Truth, and The Life. and just how important is this holiness? Heb 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: sound like its important to me if you want to see The LORD. dont sound like hyper grace's ... our lifestyle dont matter. 2Ti 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
you see, its the will of God for us to be Holy unto Him. His will that we live Holy. and this standard is above each of us, even our own life. This will is apart of our calling and it was given BEFORE the world began according to scripture.
Lev 20:26 And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.
Rom 6:21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. Rom 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amo 5:14 Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken.
1Co 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 1Co 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
indeed, let us fear The LORD, perfect our holiness, and cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit because this holiness thing is something God does take serious. and so should we.

Some king(s) of Israel , after being ANOINTED, remained "anointed" even though he or they disobeyed. If our blessings, promises, and anointing hinged (depended on) obedience, I would agree ONLY if it is CHRIST'S OBEDIENCE . True: Obedience is more important than sacrifice, and A TOTAL CHANGE IN LIFE IS REQUIRED by Yahuweh in believers who call on Him..... yes, it is required, a total change in life... out of darkness into LIGHT, out of slavery to sin, into slavery to righteousness - always to do what is right and holy...... A COMPLETE CHANGE wrought by Yahuweh in us , starting perhaps with a circumcised heart made not with hands, and continuing daily always in being purified daily as He is PURE..... honestly "go and sin NO MORE", truthfully, in all things, no matter what we lose (even our lives). Being SEEN BY OTHERS (outside of us) as different - they see and know and realize our lives are NOT LIKE OTHERS, and not like we used to be ---- VERY VISIBLE DIFFERENT OBSERVABLE LIVES, to believers and unbelievers both, to everyone around us. (and , yes, most people HATE us for this - without reason - just as most people hate JESUS without any reason or cause) ..... This might be the best sign of being a TRUE FOLLOWER OF JESUS, BORN AGAIN , - that even friends and family and neighbors and church people who are not saved, and in other forums, HATE US ---- thus they witness to our changed spirit, regenerated in Christ Jesus, that is recognized WHEN IT IS REAL ! Yet not-with-standing also, every description Yahuweh Says of Ekklesia is always truth, not changing at all due to culture or any other reason .... all of His Word, every bit, every jot and tittle, is TRUTH unchanging forever...... and that may be all we have to rely on and that is all we may have to trust in, by His Grace and His Revelation to us as His little children..... perfect revelation of His Will and Plan and Purpose.

when we get into sin and dont repent God stops using us. The Gifts and the calling are without repentance but i have heard and seen myself where because of my lack of obedience, and willingness to continue in a sin God no longer uses that/this vessel.

Naaman. Naaman had a position, but he wasn't a King. What was his sin? He may have been a bit prideful, but he humbled himself and obeyed the prophet or he would have remained a leper.

The king leaned on him and he took dirt back to worship the Lord from in his home. He also was anointed by the prophet and 'allowed' leeway to enter the pagan temple with the king on his arm. We do not know what witness he was to his king, but we can imagine that the king was most impressed by his healing. Definitely anointed as a witness to the king. God's ways are not our ways.

Perhaps better understood as the one anointed by Yahuweh remains the one anointed /appointed/ by Yahuweh until they die. Remember David would not allow anyone to seek harm to KING SAUL, God's Anointed one, and would not harm King Saul himself either, even when given the chance to, as written in Samuel. Good Kings and bad Kings were anointed/ appointed: --------------------------------------------------------------- Almost everyone is sinning ("...into sin ...") ..... when will God ever use them ? Will they ever repent ? www.bibletales.online/anointing-bible-kings/?doing_wp_cron=1556544742.9224429130554199218750

Adam and eve were still alive after they ate the fruit of knowledge of good and evil... but God did say on the day you eat you shall surely die. The Spirit died. God does not lie.

On the day they sinned, they began to die. Had they not sinned, they would still be alive and in the garden. That is all I have taken that to mean.
