As long as a recipient is willing to believe the best they can, that’s all Jesus requires. I’ve seen people believe in Jesus, open their heart to the hope of being healed, and they were healed. Really, the responsibility is on the preacher/prophet to have an anointing. Lots of charlatans are in the church pretending to be preachers, and when they fail to get results, they beat the sheep for failing. The fervent effectual prayer of a righteous man achieves much.

Lots of charlatans are in the church pretending to be preachers, and when they fail to get results, they beat the sheep for failing. The fervent effectual prayer of a righteous man achieves much. I believe there are cases that are more complex.
There are people who believe and receive instantly, by faith.
"So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." - Romans 10:17
I believe we should never ask people if they want to be healed. We just have to inspire them by the Word.
When they build faith they will voluntarily ask and move, by faith, to get their healing.
"...for whatever is not from faith is sin." - Romans 14:23
There are cases when perseverance is required (such as Job's).
But the person must not go back and just believe until the end.
"Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time..." - 1 Peter 5:6
Blessings!

There’s nothing wrong with prompting people toward a healing.
Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. — Acts 3:3-6
When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. — John 5:6-8

But it is important to always act in faith, and that can take time to learn.
But there are times we can just be mistaken.
We would probably want to heal people at every corner, but I believe it is not like that.
Blessings!

When my children were young I had a great church ( THANK YOU GOD ) and it was much needed as I was a single parent with 4 children who never saw or heard from an abusive father. We didn't have paid pastors, the church was led by elders and very much a bible believing group. My children had more true fathers to guide them than their birth father and grew up surrounded by love and discipline. Sadly as is the way the elders grew old and a new generation began to emerge that wanted to " modernise " and introduced wannabe rock musicians to lead the worship , lots of play acting and energetic dancing around A few tried to preach from the bible but far too many just wanted a platform to be seen from and the old church withered away with the young guns moving to new venues so they were out from the old teaching. For a time I went " church shopping " but gave up and decided that I would get fellowship where I could and when I could rather than get so many false messages that could so easily influence my grandchildren SOOOO once again THANK YOU Butero and others for reaching out and supplying a need What you are describing is very common. The older people are dying and the new generation is going away from the truth to try to fit in with the people of this generation. Those of us who still hold to following the old paths can't continue to support such places, so we stop going to church.
The last church I went to had an old retired minister in his 70s. That is why it had not gone down hill like the rest, but there were hardly any members. The one church I mentioned that is 75 miles from my house in Charlotte, N.C. is an independent church run by a Pastor in his 80s. That is why it hasn't gone the way of most. The Pastor's son is likely his successor, and while he seems to support his Father, you never know, and he is not that young either. Parents have done a poor job training up their children in the way they should go.
This is all following an identical pattern in the bible . What happened to the jews near the end of those days , is now occurring unto the church age in full swing . But just like in those days , THE LORD has a remnant that has not bowed to an evil false all inclusive lie and its gods and its fake peace . yep there are still lil clusters of lambs all over the world in every state and nation , that see the signs of the times and they aint falling for the ruse . THE LORD has His own . And we aint dead yet , which means JESUS is going to be proclaimed and the truth is going to be expounded , even if it costs us everything .

One thing I think about via the church world today is how many worship leaders are truly seeking to lead the people into worship?
And how many church members just want to be entertained by the music, rather than seeking to be a participant in worshiping God?
Worship leaders should never be there to entertain, but rather to lead the flock into adoring Jesus.

It is about entertain me, instead of true worship. It is bring the entertainers in, rather than seeking after God. It is put on a show, rather than being fed by true shepherds. And in some cases they are bringing in literal clowns. Love the quote PG4HIM.

I am thankful for reading this post. I have shared here before that I have agoraphobia. I was still attending a local church until I started going through withdrawals from a drug I had been prescribed for 24 years. I am still healing from what that medication did to my central nervous system, but I am getting better, Finally! I want to be more involved here as I gave up my old church upon realizing that they are much like all the other churches around... putting on a glorious show! I could not even bare being in the service when I began having really bad tinnitus... the music is that loud and spot lights shooting here and there. I grew up in this church, but it is no longer the place I remember where we were really seeking God. I am still reading through the Bible for my first time. I am learning so much but want to learn more. I am sorry I have not been able to be more involved here as I have been healing. But, I do want to learn from other wise and studied people. I desperately need people in my life as I spend so many hours each day alone. I don't even know how I will be able to ever meet with others in person any time soon. I pray the Lord will lead people into my life and help me overcome this debilitating disorder. At any rate, I just want to say how much I get out of reading these posts! Thank you all!

I have shared here before that I have agoraphobia. I know how hard it is to deal with fears. I suffered a lot from OCD (which basically is spiritual oppression based on lies).
Anxiety is terrible, and it is not as easy as saying just go and do... but we must be willing to challenge it and face it, and we can start small.
That feeling can be overcome, and remember the words of our Lord Jesus who said:
"And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind." - Luke 12:29
I would recommend you pray and start to challenge your fears, one step at a time.
"...If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree,
‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you." - Luke 17:6
It will not go away without your first move (leap of faith).
"Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me." - John 14:1
Blessings!
