When it comes to doctrine, there are usually two versions. One is what we believe, and one is what we say we believe. The true believers in osas say they believe once you are saved, you are always saved, but a true Christian has a new nature and doesn't keep sinning. Their real view is that they can do anything and remain saved. They can kill, steal, commit adultery, anything, and those sins are under the blood, even if they never repent. They claim they are not saying it is okay to sin, which is technically true, but they are saying that if you do, there is no loss of salvation.
The same thing happens on the other side. The truth is, no willful sin is automatically covered, so if you die in the act of adultery or you commit suicide or something like that, you die lost. Most shy away from that and say you can lose salvation, but only after a long time of rebelling, and nobody knows when you cross the line. Dishonesty on either side causes confusion. It would be refreshing if people would say what they really believe instead of playing games.

Two-faced shepherds looking to kill sheep are nothing new. People hide their true intentions on all sorts of things.

It would be refreshing if people would say what they really believe instead of playing games.
The truth is: Many people do not want to say goodbye to their sin.
If they really wanted it sin would be a thing of the past, not of their present.
"...reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 6:11
Sin no more. It is a hard saying for many, and they resist and become proud.
"and make straight paths for your feet,
so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed." - Hebrews 12:13
"But they have not all obeyed the gospel.
For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?”" - Romans 10:16-17
"Blessed are the poor in spirit,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven." - Matthew 5:3
I do not care if people hate me and stone me for telling the truth. There are too many speaking deceit already.
I just want to be an opposition and say:
Humble yourselves. Repent in truth!
It is your eternal destiny that is on the table.
"...For they could not endure what was commanded..." - Hebrews 12:20
Stop playing. Start saying goodbye to this world, for the fire is coming!
"Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved,
what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness..." - 2 Peter 3:11

Sugar coated lemon drops come to mind. at first its sweet, but once that layer of sugar dissolves you get a mouthful of twang... 2Ti 2:5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully. 1Ti 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
and do take note... this passage is speaking of false teachers/prophets: 2Pe 2:19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. 2Pe 2:20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 2Pe 2:21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 2Pe 2:22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
...however, believing a lie about Gods word, which The Book says His words will NEVER pass, will not just leave a twang in your mouth for the duration of a piece of candy, but for all eternity. even those who abide in Christ and never stray even one step to the left or right off the straight and narrow... those false beliefs and doctrines they believed in and built upon their foundation... once their works are tried by fire, and they will be in that day, those will burn as hay, and wood and stubble... Just as The Book tells us.
In the bible there is no gospel of Milton Bradley. God is not playing games. Abide in Him and do not turn, do not compromise.
Go research the word sinner.
Luk 13:4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
G3781 ὀφειλέτης opheiletēs of-i-let'-ace From G3784; an ower, that is, a person indebted; figuratively a delinquent; morally a transgressor (against God): - debtor, which owed, sinner. Total KJV occurrences: 7
this word is a debtor, of moral obligation... an offender... the concept of debt here is this: we are morally bound (in Christ) to live a life FREE from violation of Gods commands and when we fail to do so we become delinquent transgressors and debtors to divine justice.
oh my there is that word juctice... which in many applications in The Book its synonymous with judgment. The good news here however is found in Galatians chapter 5... if we walk in The Spirit we are not under the law... abide In Christ.... and when you hear words being changed and twisted, such as "rest in the gospel" do not listen to that Heresy... that stumbelingblock of truth.
we must not seek to please men with our words, or even appeal to please them by what we preach/teach. you are not doing God a favor, you are perverting His words and this does make Him angry. You can fall from Grace, or commit apostasy. if not, the bible would not warn against it. and this is not "keeping yourself saved" its merely doing what you are supposed to... obeying.

I think the primary reason they do this is for acceptance. They want to appear anything but extreme, but people that are outside of their belief system see through it and know what is being told to them is not true or just makes no sense.

a couple things come to mind on that...
Gal 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. Gal 1:10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
and this one is red letter:
Joh 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. Joh 5:44 How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only? Joh 5:45 Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. Joh 5:46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. Joh 5:47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?
where our heart is... there is our treasure. this is why i detest false teachings so much, and that aside from leading folks astray. If we do not receive His words... we do not receive Him. its real hard for me to accept and receive someone who does not accept and receive Jesus. I think according to Ezekiel 34 God feels the same way.
