...then why some people keep pointing to Jesus Christ on the cross whenever they are caught sinning?!
"He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the just,
Both of them alike are an abomination to the Lord." - Proverbs 17:15
"Awake to righteousness, and do not sin;
for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame." - 1 Corinthians 15:34
I already know what YOU did to Jesus, and keep doing it on a daily basis...
"...Jesus whom you murdered by hanging on a tree." - Acts 5:30
"...the Just One, of whom you now have become the betrayers and murderers..." - Acts 7:52
"But God raised Him from the dead." - Acts 13:30
"Yet now, brethren, I know that you did it in ignorance, as did also your rulers." - Acts 3:17
"Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent..." - Acts 17:30
"And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins..." - Ephesians 2:1
"...See, you have been made well.
Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you." - John 5:14
"...unless you repent you will all likewise perish." - Luke 13:3
Because if one keeps on sinning after receiving the knowledge of the truth...
"...if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth,
there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment,
and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries." - Hebrews 10:26-27
"Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ,
and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the
world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation." - 2 Corinthians 5:18-19
"For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us,
that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." - 2 Corinthians 5:21
"Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us:
we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God." - 2 Corinthians 5:20
Because when you insist in your sins and just keep on pointing Him on the cross, and justify yourselves by saying:
He paid for it. It is all covered.
I will sin like there is no tomorrow!
"But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also
are found sinners, is Christ therefore a minister of sin? Certainly not!" - Galatians 2:17
"But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’
For I did not come to call the righteous..." - Matthew 9:13
"...Jesus whom you murdered by hanging on a tree." - Acts 5:30
"...but sinners, to repentance." - Matthew 9:13
Because only unrepentant sinners will condemn the Just and crucify Him again and again.
"Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out,
so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord..." - Acts 3:19
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." - John 3:16
The people of Nineveh believed Him!
"So the people of Nineveh believed God, proclaimed a fast,
and put on sackcloth, from the greatest to the least of them." - Jonah 3:5
"...let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily to God;
yes, let every one turn from his evil way and from the violence that is in his hands." - Jonah 3:8
"Who can tell if God will turn and relent,
and turn away from His fierce anger, so that we may not perish?" - Jonah 3:9
And they would surely believe in Him again.
"The men of Nineveh will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it,
because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and indeed a greater than Jonah is here." - Matthew 12:41
And you?! Do you believe in Him?
I know of one thing: Many will not believe in Him. Just as it is written:
"Not everyone who says to Me,
‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
Many will say to Me in that day,
‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name,
cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’
And then I will declare to them,
‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’" - Matthew 7:21-23
"Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness." - 1 John 3:4
"...For if the mighty works which were done in you had been
done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago..." - Matthew 11:21
"And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin." - 1 John 3:5
"He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning.
For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil." - 1 John 3:8
"Whoever abides in Him does not sin.
Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him." - 1 John 3:6
"...Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin." - John 8:34
"Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed." - John 8:36
Yes, many will not believe in Him.
The question is: Will you be one of them?!
"...Be saved from this perverse generation." - Acts 2:40
"Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out..." - Acts 3:19
"For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with
His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works." - Matthew 16:27
"And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure." - 1 John 3:3
"And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul.
But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." - Matthew 10:28
"...And by the fear of the Lord one departs from evil." - Proverbs 16:6
"...Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ
for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." - Acts 2:38
"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children,
how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!" - Luke 11:13
"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find..." - Matthew 7:7
"For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?" - Mark 8:36
"It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing.
The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life." - John 6:63
Blessings to you in Jesus' name!
