I think of Zumba as a fun way of exercising. If a women's group does Zumba, I don't really see what's wrong with it. Is all dancing wrong? Almost all dancing is wrong, yes. Evil, "of the flesh", "of the world", "sensual", "turning the eye" (making people sin by stirring up desire / lust in them), and so on. But remember we live in a world where almost everything(a huge majority/ many vs few) is wrong, yes. Since the righteous are "barely saved", as God Says...... what is to become of the rest of the world !? This is serious.

Absolutely not!! Now I personally can't dance, but if I could I would! "Praise the Lord!
Sing to the Lord a new song,
And His praise in the assembly of saints.
2 Let Israel rejoice in their Maker;
Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.
3 Let them praise His name with the dance;
Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp.
4 For the Lord takes pleasure in His people;
He will beautify the humble with salvation."- Psalm 149:1-4 Indeed the fulfillment of the New Covenant is celebrated with dancing!! “Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance,
And the young men and the old, together;
For I will turn their mourning to joy,
Will comfort them,
And make them rejoice rather than sorrow."- Jer 31:13

There is a difference between worldly dancing and dancing before the Lord.
The bible says this:
Rom 12:2 (2) And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Now there may be personal things between couples which I won't get into that.
We are not to be like the world, we are to be totally transformed in every way.
We are called to walk in the fruit of the Spirit, not in the works of the flesh, not in reveling, not in the way were a proud look is produced, or sensuality is produced.
Just because it looks fun, does not always mean it is right, so let us not judged something by our feelings, or how good we feel in the thing, that is not discernment, but rather go by the word of God, and really examine what you are doing.
Really examine what is really being produced, are you being desensitized? Are your spiritual senses being dulled?
Is what you are doing truly modest?
Is your thoughts of freedom, freedom in Christ? Or is your thoughts of freedom, just do as you will, as long as you are having fun?

And that is why the LORD has brought you to those that can help and encourage that you stay far from the wrong kind of freedom which is really bondage . YOU ARE LOVED SISTER NAOMI . YOU ARE LOVED . And we will watch out for you .

So you know what it is first hand? That has been my question about it. If the group is all straight women or all straight men or in the privacy of your own home, where is the harm? I clearly understand concerns over it in mixed company.

Dancing is influenced by spirits, those spirits can be evil or good. There is no question that spirits influence music.

There is no question that spirits influence music. And God's music can makes us feel well.
"...David would take a harp and play it with his hand.
Then Saul would become refreshed and well, and the distressing spirit would depart from him." - 1 Samuel 16:23 Let us not underestimate the power that can dwell in music.

I do not think most Christians realize how deep, what is called the church, is entrenched into the ways of this world.
We better do well to get to know our bibles, and to get to know God's heart, and to be concerned on what pleases him, we have to get out of the please me mindset, and then we will begin to see things in a totally different way, like never before.
We must let the word become alive to our hearts, and only then can you truly see.

We must let the word become alive to our hearts, and only then can you truly see. When you grow up where certain things are in a set order, we get used to it, and simply see that as the norm. I doubt that any of us fully realize how much we have been effected by the culture, not only outside of Christianity, but in the churches. The Bible is the only way to recognize this. We have to compare how God created things and how he intended things to be in scripture, and compare that to the way the world is. Get rid of the attitude that God understands that things have changed, and we have to go along with it to get by. Work to move in God's direction. It may not be possible to have everything figured out overnight, or have everything in perfect order today, but work towards it.
