I saw this topic on the other forum. They said that the word "us" in Rev 5:9 should be translated as "men". I disagreed of course because "men" could cover anybody or everybody, and is a general term to describe mankind, whereas "us" is more specific to those mentioned in the verse and a limited number.
Anyway, as they concentrated on the word "us" as written in the KJV being omitted, they lost what was truly being revealed here. I have included Rev 14:3 & 15:3 to show the pattern. All three groups are singing this song.
The first group are the 24 elders and the four beasts around the throne.
Revelation 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
The second group are the 144K
Revelation 14:3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.
The third group are those who have gotten victory over the beast and over his image and over his mark.
Revelation 15:3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.
What do you see?

Sister...I have no idea why anyone would want to translate the Greek word "hemas" (pronoun) into men.....makes me wonder what is their motive or point? There is usually an agenda. According to the usage of that word, it is used to mean "us" throughout the new testament. I agree with you that the more the scriptures get messed with the more revelation and understanding is potentially lost...and of course that's just what the devil has been trying to do ever since God gave them. It's galling.
I think the Lord has been clever in how He had everything worded though....the most important truths are hidden so they have tended to be safer from being doctored with and mistranslated. "If the devil had known......" So thankful we have the Holy Spirit to help us.

There are , as Cletus said , a big pushes to change The word .
Yall just wait , everything will be centered on the Kingdom now mentality . Very soon , all we believe for the most part revelations is a here and now and past . Its all about a kingdom now under a beast . And the second coming of Christ , will be simply seen as a man standing and uniting the world for peace . It don't matter how it ropes them in , ITS GONNA ROPE THEM IN and their is no stopping it . Delusoin will only sky rocket , All mindsets , all religions will in their own individual way and collective way , JUST SEE one big universal truth, WELL what they THINK is truth. Many minds will only increase down this path . IN one way or another , EVERY one not in the lambs book of life , IS GOING TO GO UNDER THE LIE . Cant stop it . Can only warn and exhort and point to Christ .

Those things are obvious. It's what's being missed is what I want to talk about. It's about that song. Something is being revealed here. I have displayed the three verses that mention the same thing. What can you see?

Where I am going with this is that there are three verses in the new testament which mention this song. Three different groups. The first group learn the "new song". The second group sing "as it were" a new song, and the third group are given this song also, but after.
The first group are the 24 elders and the four beasts around the throne.
Revelation 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

Hi watchful
Those things are obvious. It's what's being missed is what I want to talk about. It's about that song. Something is being revealed here. I have displayed the three verses that mention the same thing. What can you see?
One thing is that no one could learn that song except the 144,000....meaning the 24 elders and the other redeemed singing that song belong to the 144,000. I don't know if that's what you are after with this, though....? The first group were witnesses to the Lamb opening the seals. They are the 24 elders which are a mystery to us at present. Who they are?, when they got there and when? Were they taken in a vision? Are they dead and resurrected? We just don't know, but the seals were opened when Revelation was written by the youngest apostle John about 70 years after Christ's death and resurrection. He would of been an old man. These 24 elders were shown all the mysteries involving the plan of God and all what's to come, and the Lambs role etc. That is that new song they learned. It's not a hymn, but that song is the song of truth, a song of being revealed the mysteries. So that song is new to them for they were given much.
The second group are the 144k.
Revelation 14:3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.
They sung "as it were" a new song. It's not a new song because the 24 elders were already given it. So what the 24 elders received, these 144K received also the same revelation. What I find interesting is that no man could learn that song but them. This is very telling. So this song, ....this knowledge is not given to everyone. What do they know that the others don't know?
Now the third group;
Revelation 15:1 And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.
Revelation 15:2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.
Revelation 15:3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.
These that have the victory over the beast, his image, his mark and over the number of his name are the saints who have gone through the fire. They have died. They conquered. John sees them in this vision with the victory.
The saints are killed, and then the 7 plagues start.
So this last group are only given the song when they have overcome, not before, but after their resurrection when they are perfected, and that is the difference.

are you trying to put a time line to this? i promise i am not trying to be difficult here, i am really drawing a blank. i do not see the significance unless its a time line? this may be one of those times you just have to hit me in the head with it to get me to see it. (maybe)

(maybe) That's ok. Here I will break it down real simple. Out of the whole house of God there are only three groups who have been given "the song".
1.Those at the beginning (24 elders) who witnessed the Lamb opening the seven seals.
2.Those living in the last days (144k),
3. Those who were persecuted after No. 2 received the song which are them standing on the sea of glass who overcame the beast, and the mark and his image....ie suffered and died for Christ's name. John saw them resurrected. He got a glimpse of that. They are already dead before the 7 angels sound. They "overcame".
The question should be what is this song? And if the 144K are those who followed the Lamb wheresoever he goes, and they are "sealed" having the Father's name on their foreheads and are the only ones who know this song, then they must be living.
The other point I am making is that those who overcame the beast were not given this song whilst they were alive. There are only 144K who understand the mystery of the seven seals, and no one else but them because they are the only ones on earth who can learn that song. So this is pretty special.

Sister, these passages come to mind regarding the song.....song of the redeemed (song of Moses): Isa 35:8-10 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there: And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. Isa 51:3 For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody. Isa 51:10-12 Art thou not it which hath dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over? Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away. I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass; Song of Moses Exo 15:1-19 Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea. The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him. The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name. Pharaoh's chariots and his host hath he cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea. The depths have covered them: they sank into the bottom as a stone. Thy right hand, O LORD, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O LORD, hath dashed in pieces the enemy. And in the greatness of thine excellency thou hast overthrown them that rose up against thee: thou sentest forth thy wrath, which consumed them as stubble. And with the blast of thy nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as an heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea. The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them. Thou didst blow with thy wind, the sea covered them: they sank as lead in the mighty waters. Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? Thou stretchedst out thy right hand, the earth swallowed them. Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation. The people shall hear, and be afraid: sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of Palestina. Then the dukes of Edom shall be amazed; the mighty men of Moab, trembling shall take hold upon them; all the inhabitants of Canaan shall melt away. Fear and dread shall fall upon them; by the greatness of thine arm they shall be as still as a stone; till thy people pass over, O LORD, till the people pass over, which thou hast purchased. Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance, in the place, O LORD, which thou hast made for thee to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O Lord, which thy hands have established. The LORD shall reign for ever and ever. For the horse of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and the LORD brought again the waters of the sea upon them; but the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea.

That's right dear sister . THE LORD has BECOME OUR SALVATION . Soar those hands up in the air and let all rejoice IN THE LORD and HONOR HIM in all we do or say . The stone that the builders rejected IS OUR STONE of great HOPE . THE LORD is our song and our salvation . He called us out of eygpts babloyian systems and worldy ways . He is our refuge in the wilderness as we await our city which is to come . OH let the LORD be praised and every hand be raised . Sing it sister . SING IT and REJOICE IN THE LORD .
