New Who? New Man!
Don’t neglect the word; you’re neglecting truth; neglecting truth gets you into trouble and honestly when we choose truth; troubles are often the consequences. People who don’t adhere to the truth don’t really care to hear it! Why? It reminds them of their hypocrisy.
I’ve been devouring the word of God every morning; reading through four books. I’ve also read several epistles since I’ve been into it in the evenings. I am finding enlightenment which has been hiding in plain sight. There’s been a refreshing in me and I’m excited about so many things on so many levels. I’ve seen one of my brothers come alive again in Jesus and I give God the praise! I’m in a new place with a new beginning; but the spiritual aspect is what I’m so jubilant about! You see for a while I studied the bible to preach or teach others; to be honest it was wonderful concerning the messages God gave me! But! It didn’t fill my soul like seeking the word in the morning the first thing before I do anything else other than pray for good comprehension and understanding. Wow!
Then the wife and I pray each morning together; we give God praise; then we petition and intercede in prayer and supplications for all the saints. We remember each of our children, grandchildren, our parents, all our siblings and their spouses, and extended family and our nation and leaders.
Brethren I want more of Jesus! This morning when I was driving to work I thought about spiritual things! I thought about worshiping the Lord in Spirit and Truth! We praise God from our spirit man and humble ourselves before him; this is worshiping the Lord in Spirit and when we obey his word we are worshiping in Truth. I’m learning surrender again; yep I said again! You know God seeks those who worship him in Spirit and Truth; humility is surrendering our will to his will.
Without real worship of God in the innermost of our being; we are new creations! Old things have passed into the past; behold new creatures have new minds, new spirituality, and newness of life. When we put on the Lord Jesus Christ we crucify the old man and his deeds! We have new duds and new deeds!
I have new ideas I don’t have to conform to the world; I have the mind of Christ I must conform to the newness of life in Christ. What would I profit if I owned all that money could afford me; yet die without Christ? I would be twice dead plucked up at the roots and go into eternity’s everlasting torment! Yet; there is before me a wellspring of life; a fountain of eternity; a divine mind that extenuates the virtue and fruit of the Spirit. I have a divine substance in the satisfying soul food of the bread of life. I have the opportunity to grow in maturity putting childish behavior away and finding myself accompanied by my Heavenly Father.
I see the lightening and hear the thunders of the glory of the Lord as his words unfold majestically and engulf me in its sight giving abilities! I stand in awe of the presence and the power of those revelatory faith building words! I pursue them with fresh initiative and enthusiasm; they fill the center of my heart and I pant in spirit with great expectation of the knowledge, understanding, and wisdom I am ready to glean!
“Have your own way Lord; have thine own way; You are the potter; I am the clay!
Mold me and make me after thy will; while I am waiting; yielded and still!”
Brethren I love you so much: you’re a part of me and I am a part of you! Jesus gave us each other:
(11) He gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, shepherds and teachers;
(12) for the perfecting of the saints, to the work of serving, to the building up of the body of Christ;
(13) until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a full grown man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;
(14) that we may no longer be children, tossed back and forth and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error;
(15) but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, Christ;
(16) from whom all the body, being fitted and knit together through that which every joint supplies, according to the working in measure of each individual part, makes the body increase to the building up of itself in love.
(17) This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind, Ephesians 4:11-17
I’m so excited: I don’t want to hide it: but I know the devil wants me too! Brethren I love you with the love of the Lord; God is biding his children to come up higher than ever before. Come up hither; come be renewed in the spirit; there’s much work to do: darkness is coming when we want be able to work! Selah!
Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
