I found the video Solid spoke of, and one of the 5 steps toward being born again is trying to save ourselves, something we are repeatedly accused of doing. If I thought I could save myself, why pray a sinner's prayer to God and ask Jesus to save me? I can just save myself.
That is so stupid when you think about it and falsely accusing the brethren, but it does show their warped mindset. We are in a stage towards being born again called trying to save ourselves, and they are trying to pull us across the finish line to their god, OSAS. When we fully trust in OSAS, we are born again. People actually fall for that heresy, but then again, people get sucked into following the Jehovah's Witnesses and other cults, so why be surprised?
Can you PM it to me?

I never have understood the whole idea of "Well, you were never really saved"... well I sure thought I was back then. When God saves you, you know you have been saved.

Can you PM it to me? George had the link to it in a thread at WCF. I will see if I can find it by title.

If you put doubt in people’s heads about whether they “really” met Jesus, you leave them to wonder if they can trust their experiences. I just cannot understand how people can have doubts if they were really saved. God is very clear when He saves someone (at least He was to me).
If someone is questioning they were saved, then I suspect they never were.
Or did I experience something stronger?! Wasn't it obvious to you?!
Blessings!

Then, I really am worried for people who doubts their salvation. They must seek Him as soon as possible.
“...and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you.” - Philippians 3:15

f someone is questioning they were saved, then I suspect they never were. I’m talking about OSAS teachers who discourage others by making them wonder. There is certainly an effort at Worthy to make us question if we’ve met Jesus. Imagine that much pressure on a young person looking to elders for guidance. Honestly, this is the danger of the whole “don’t trust your feelings” doctrine. God is not really distant, He just feels that way and your feelings have lied to you. God isn’t actually angry at you — your feelings have lied. I’m sorry, but maybe it just really is that God is displeased with you. And maybe it just really was that you felt God touching you unto salvation but then you fell back. There’s nothing in the Bible that says “if someone makes you doubt your salvation you’re not saved.” Hebrews tells born-again believers to guard their hearts from doubt.

There’s nothing in the Bible that says “if someone makes you doubt your salvation you’re not saved.” Hebrews tells born-again believers to guard their hearts from doubt. One thing that Christians have to learn, and the Spirit will encourage you to receive this if you need:
“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them,
I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came,
and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.” - Matthew 7:24-25
We have to use the faith God gave to us, lies of the enemy or men cannot shake our faith.
Pray for boldness (whoever is reading this).
“And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding,
that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ.
This is the true God and eternal life.” - 1 John 5:20
Blessings!

Thanks. Your welcome, but I was not recommending it. There is some truth, but I don't agree with the 5 steps to a new birth.
