Today, my husband and I went to visit a local Pentecostal Holiness Church.
We were both disappointed, since the disorganized service did little satisfy our spiritual hunger. The people involved in the service seemed to be at odds with one another rather than unified and the message lacked substance.
We both feel that God is calling us to make our way out of this small town and it's depressing spiritual climate. Here, we haven't found a good church and most of the people we encounter are depressed or alcoholics or both.
We could use prayers for guidance. We both feel God leading us towards some new things and ways to serve the Lord.
We both feel a desire to be filled with the Spirit and live a purposeful life and anything that would be in the way seems to be falling apart.

There are still a handful of good churches. I still attend church, and it is a small Pentecostal congregation. If you can find a good church, you should probably do it, but if the churches in your area are all compromising, you might be better off not going anywhere.

The most important thing is to have regular fellowship with other Christians. We are warned in the Bible about the damage bad company can do. That applies in a church too if the place is corrupt.

God got my head on straight again and we've come back strong! I can't believe I almost left my marriage behind because it's so clear now that my place is with him. God is growing him into a great spiritual leader.

Everyone. This has to get said again . We cannot become so weary and wore down that we would trade in some truth for any unity .

let God be praised because it is He who makes whats crooked straight... gives beauty for ashes, restores and reconciles us, delivers us, He who makes a way, He is our all in all our everything. without Him everything falls apart, and with Him everything works out for the good of those who Love Him, and are called according to His purpose.
are we in a season of healing or restoration or something... I see Gods hand at work in the hearts and lives of believers like i have not seen in a long while. He is restoring so much right now. PTL. PTL!
