One thing I can say of a certainty. No real revival ever started with a letting down of all standards and joining with pagan religions.

Before Jesus was born as Messiah, it seemed impossible that the Messiah could be from Nazareth, Bethlehem, and Egypt all at once. Jesus reconciled dozens of seemingly contradictory predictions. We are told to watch the sky for signs, but we are not promised that we put the pieces together like a math equation. This is why I’m reluctant to spend too much energy on eschatology, and why I’m really reluctant to call people deceived over a rapture theory.

I guess is depends on what we mean by revival and also what kind of scope we are talking about. First of all the Lord is God and does as He pleases.....I don't believe it's for us to ever shut out the possibility of there being a time of refreshing for His people at any time or place in history, and especially in a time of great need.
But I believe there is going to be an end time revival and here it is:
Mal 4:5-6
Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:
And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
1Ki 18:36-41
And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word.
Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the LORD God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again.
Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.
And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The LORD, he is the God; the LORD, he is the God.
And Elijah said unto them, Take the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape. And they took them: and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon, and slew them there.
And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain.
So to me it looks like the drought and famine for the word of God will be over since Jesus said concerning the last days that the gospel would be preached in all the world and then the end will come.
That said we need to be alert and on our guard, because from scripture the false prophets of Baal hold their revival first, which comes up empty of the fire and presence of God.
