Hallelujah! Powerful word! I hope others watch this. i really been thinking on this since i watched it and The holy Spirit showed me something about what the man in the video said.
concerning greek and hebrews. the greeks big thing in their society was what? wisdom, philosophy, reasoning, the mind, they want to figure it all out, they want to be smart guys right?... their language reflects this. the hebrews language reflects how they lived. a good example is their names. issac. how did he get his name and what does his name mean... being a good example.
so all the time centuries and centuries God kept telling the hebrews, turn to me, return to The Lord, turn ye and live, turn from your wicked ways... and then here comes the promised Messiah saying i am the way, i am the door, i am the only way, only way to The Father, only way to eternal life. He didnt abolish it... He built upon it thruout the generations, even in different cultures/society. He spoke to them directly. The Greeks to the mind, and the hebrews to what they understand how they live.
so its not really that some teachers are wrong about "change your mind" its that they are only half right. and this whole time i have been saying change your mind is weak sauce, and there is more to it. because of this video i can now explain it. and sound edumacated.
another cool thing i found is i looked up words in the prodigal son... living. one is zao... the other is bios. the living that is zao is the scripture speaking about wasting his inheritance on riotous living.
this sermon had me pumped up speaking to myself with scripture and meditation for a good bit of the day. i hope others watch it too.

The beauty of it is , it was GOD alone that led me to repentance , HE put the whole new desire and whole new direction in my heart . I remember day one very clear . At it started out just as any other day But then Grace appeared , GOD just turned me completely around and right after Him . The Goodness of GOD really does lead one to repentance . Put those hands up , And let all praise the LORD . Put those hands up , and let all praise the LORD . OH let the LORD be praised , let the Lord be praised , Let the LORD be praised .

To add to what Cletus said about “change your mind” being half right. Back in those days, especially for the Greeks, if you changed a man’s mind you did change his behavior. Those people lived by what they believed. So when you said “change your mind” they heard “change your identity.”
People these days believe all sorts of things with no change to their lifestyle.

To add to what Cletus said about “change your mind” being half right. Back in those days, especially for the Greeks, if you changed a man’s mind you did change his behavior. Those people lived by what they believed. So when you said “change your mind” they heard “change your identity.” People these days believe all sorts of things with no change to their lifestyle. Living is believing.
The problem is that the flesh cannot accept to go against itself (thus, those who do not have the Spirit are unable to believe).
“So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.” - Romans 8:8
“But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you...” - Romans 8:9
And instead of them seeking repentance, they have invented their own ways due to the hardness of their hearts.
“...For they stumbled at that stumbling stone.” - Romans 9:32
“and
“A stone of stumbling
And a rock of offense.”
They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed.” - 1 Peter 2:8
As a result, many people are following a kind of belief that produces no good fruit (stay wicked, it is not through works - they say).
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door,
but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.” - John 10:1
“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God?
Do not be deceived.
Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,
nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.” - 1 Corinthians 6:9-10
“Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come
from the presence of the Lord and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you...” - Acts 3:19-20
“I will be a Father to you,
And you shall be My sons and daughters,
Says the Lord Almighty.” - 2 Corinthians 6:18
Blessings to you in Jesus' name!

I just saw the video, and it is very good. It covers a lot in less than 13 minutes. I agree that one can only come to saving faith after true repentance occurs. Many today teach repentance isn't necessary to be saved. The speaker also gives us a good explanation of the difference between remorse and repentance. Everyone would do good to watch it.
