Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.

Speaking to us through the prophet Samuel, we see that God prefers we obey him rather than sacrifice to him. It is amazing how many people falsely believe that giving sacrifices of praise and worship or of their time and energy makes up for willful disobedience to God. The LORD is saying that if a person is going to obey or sacrifice, not both, God prefers we obey Him.
In addition, God tells us that when we rebel against Him, he sees us as the equivalent of a witch. The powers used in witchcraft come from the one who led a rebellion against God, Lucifer. Stubbornness to God is equal to iniquity and idol worship. I believe that God deserves and is worthy of us sacrificing time and giving a sacrifice of praise to him willingly, but better in the sight of God is obedience to Him.

A lot of charasmatics I have met believe relationship is more important than holiness. They say that David was sinful but because he worshipped God, his sins were pardoned and he is called a man after God's own heart. Many sin all week but dance and shout and worship on Sunday.

I have been in charismatic churches and have heard things like that too, but God hardly overlooked David's sins. His punishment was so great, he probably would have preferred physical death.

And David even repented and still the punishments came . GUESS what happens if we return to sinning willfully .....................NO MORE SACRFICE FOR SINS AND THE SECOND DEATH IS WAY WORSE than any chastisement WE get on this earth . Mayhaps someone can do a post on that . cause lots of folks forget that REPENT WORD .

God loves that first faith love . A pure love . But as we can see , folks can fall from that , And if they repent not , KISS that candlestick as PUT OUT . The early church didn't just take sin all lighthearted . NOPE . For who we serve is whose we are . REPENT . Now put those hands up and praise the LORD . And in all that we do or say , LET IT HONOR HIM .

Another thing at work here is that many that think they know God and have a relationship with God don't really know Him at all.

That is true. There is more to knowing God than attending charasmatic worship services and calling that relationship.

BUT LORD , didn't we do all these good works IN YOUR NAME BUT LORD , didn't we cast out demons IN YOUR NAME
I NEVER KNEW YOU , YOU WHO WORKED all inclusive EVIL and allowed folks to die in their sin and allow folks to die in another religion ALL FOR THE SAKE OF JUST GETTING ALONG and having peace and unity . HOW Many folks do we think in this age , WHO REALLY think this peace and unity IS the will of GOD and overlook sins and the worst of it Even denying that a man must confess the name of JESUS , How many folks are gonna hear , DEPART FROM ME , I NEVER KNEW YOU . A ton of folks THINK they serve GOD , THINK they love God and yet don't even know HIM or love HIM . ALL INCLUSIVE fake dead end false seeker friendly death , HAS DESTROYED and how much worse it will soon get as it rises to the full .

Obedience is a necessity in serving God, and rebellion is a serious sin. That is true. Hello Friend and welcome to Narrow Way. Oh , let the LORD be praised . Who we OBEY is Whose we are . And no matter if billions upon billions try and say otherwise , THE WORDS of TRUTH cannot be broken . WHO we OBEY , IS WHO WE BELONG TO and whose we ARE . Its not PC , its not inclusive , BUT IT IS TRUTH .
