first of all... family comes before the church on everything always. scripture agrees with this. and go back to the beginning and go forward and see for yourself... marriage and family were instituted by God FIRST. even for a pastor aka shepherd... his own family comes before the flock. do not get the cart before the horse on this as you will upset Gods order, which will upset Father. I strongly recommend against doing that.
God is not going to expect you to put yourself out if you are barely making it. but this opens a big can of worms. are you living beyond your means? are you living extravagantly? do you have a spending problem? do you use spending or buying as a coping method to feel good? there are a whole lot of reasons one may not be able to tithe.
now there are verses in the bible such as...
1Co 9:9 For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen?
1Co 9:10 Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope.
1Co 9:11 If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?
1Co 9:12 If others be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.
1Co 9:13 Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar?
1Co 9:14 Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.
Gal 6:6 Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. ***
now in this verse look up the word communicate. it dont just mean to have a conversation with it also means to share.
1Ti 5:17 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.
1Ti 5:18 For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.
now here are scriptures that tell us to take care of those who are charged by God in watching over our souls. I will take it a step further too... we are to take care of those around us who are unable to do this. The storehouse was not just for the levites, but for the poor. lets just take a moment here to acknowledge God said He will defend the poor. and He dont like it one bit when you take advantage of them.
now. in all fairness lets take a look at other bible verses. I like this one:
Tit 1:7 For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;
for those of you who are not fluent in the KJV (what saith thou?) filthy lucre is being sordid, its being given to getting greedy gain.
And oh here is a pearl... one you will absolutely adore PG4Him... here is some scripture that rejects every single word those heretics in the video preached:
1Pe 5:2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;
1Pe 5:3 Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.
1Pe 5:4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.
it says not by constraint. pay or dont come back is constraint. pay up or your not saved is constraint. let me say this plainly... salvation is free and God said to us not to respect a man with fine apparel and a ring on his finger saying to him sit here in the best seat and to the poor sit here at my feet... on the floor (you unworthy slob) you DO NOT ever do this to anyone. God can take everything you got away quicker than... I am reminded of Job. one servant was telling Job what had happened when another servant came running up with more bad news.
these types of "preachers" in these videos are due nothing. they are not worthy of any wage because their work is fleecing the flock for filthy lucre. for greedy gain. for impure motives.
its way past time for people t wake up and realize pastors do not need multiple private jets, or luxury cars.
now lets compare this verse to 1 cor 9:4
2Th 3:7 For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
2Th 3:8 Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:
2Th 3:9 Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.
what kind of person whould amass millions and some even billions, houses with 40k sq. ft (jesse duplantis) living space or even look at your best life now authors house. multiple private jets. luxury cars that cost more than i make in two years? is this God blessing on their life? if so why are over 90 percent of their sermons "all about the money"
who is the one serving mammon? who is the one that covets? who is the one who sees poverty and suffering and people going without and wont spend a dime to help them... and what kind of restraint do they put on others... those they are to be over? well, lets just see what God says to those shepherds...
Eze 34:1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
Eze 34:2 Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto the shepherds; Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks?
Eze 34:3 Ye eat the fat, and ye clothe you with the wool, ye kill them that are fed: but ye feed not the flock.
Eze 34:4 The diseased have ye not strengthened, neither have ye healed that which was sick, neither have ye bound up that which was broken, neither have ye brought again that which was driven away, neither have ye sought that which was lost; but with force and with cruelty have ye ruled them.
Eze 34:5
And they were scattered, because there is no shepherd: and they became meat to all the beasts of the field, when they were scattered.
Eze 34:6 My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and upon every high hill: yea, my flock was scattered upon all the face of the earth, and none did search or seek after them.
Eze 34:7 Therefore, ye shepherds, hear the word of the LORD;
Eze 34:8 As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely because my flock became a prey, and my flock became meat to every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, neither did my shepherds search for my flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my flock;
Eze 34:9 Therefore, O ye shepherds, hear the word of the LORD;
Eze 34:10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat for them.
Eze 34:11 For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out.
I cant wait to see the day when my brothers are delivered. when it comes to pass i will be praising The LORD.
