Worry, fear, anxiety, we all may experience these feelings daily in different levels.
But we must not let difficult experiences quench our love for the Lord.
"Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved,
he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him." - James 1:12
"No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful,
who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able,
but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it." - 1 Corinthians 10:13
A common mistake is when people let their problems overtake them.
They start believing the problem is bigger than God, and what they believe comes to reality, and they are defeated.
It comes to reality not because God is not powerful to deliver them, it comes to reality because they believed so.
"...According to your faith let it be to you." - Matthew 9:29
God is faithful. Always.
"If we are faithless, He remains faithful;
He cannot deny Himself." - 2 Timothy 2:13
But people are not always faithful and forget to trust and believe in what He has said and written, specially in difficult times.
"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." - 1 John 1:9
This happens when they are not founded on the rock: The Lord Jesus Christ.
"Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:
and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock." - Matthew 7:24-25
And this is so true.
Now let us talk about truth and analyze why worrying during difficult times will not help us in any way.
Worrying, complaining, while expressing unbelief in His words will not help you solve your problems.
By doing so, you are just preventing God to work in your favor because of your unbelief.
"Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief." - Matthew 13:58
You can lament, mourn, and weep... As long as you do so while believing in Him, and He never fails, and He is faithful.
"Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom.
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up." - James 4:9-10
"Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,
casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you." - 1 Peter 5:6-7
Do not worry, do not give up, just keep believing!
"Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life..." - Matthew 6:25
"Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?" - Matthew 6:27
Ask, seek, and knock... Do not worry, or complain... Just pray, and the anxiety will go away.
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:6-7
And what is very important, and I have experienced this...
Keep His light shining, you are an alive testimony, leave your problems and worries on His hands.
Do not let them negatively affect your daily walk in this dark world, His light must shine in you.
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." - Matthew 5:16
"Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house." - Matthew 5:15
"Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness." - Psalm 37:3
And you soon find yourself thanking Him for the difficult times that are now past...
"Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
But the Lord delivers him out of them all." - Psalm 34:19
And you will just trust in Him even more, and more.
"For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith;
as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”" - Romans 1:17
"to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God." - Ephesians 3:19
And this is so true, I have been experiencing this in my life.
To worry is indeed useless and adds nothing; keep watching and praying!
"Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord!" - Psalm 27:14
God bless you in Jesus' name!
