DOES JESUS HATE ?!
The Love of Christ became a reality to me at my conversion, I began to love people and things I hated, and starting hating things I loved. Notice I did not include people in my hatred. The Spirit of Christ loves righteousness and hates iniquity. Those equate to values, heaven’s values, and the values of fallen humanity.
(8) But to the Son He says, "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. (9) You have loved righteousness and hated iniquity, therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness above Your fellows." Hebrews 1:8-9 Modern King James Version
To be like Jesus is to love righteousness and to hate iniquity, it brings us an anointing of the oil of gladness and separates us from the menial, the mediocre, and the mundane. Every thing within the heavenly values system points us toward biblical holiness, not human haughtiness masquerading as holiness. Every principle and precept within the kingdom of God is preceded by the love of God which has been deposited within us through the Spirit of Christ along with an innate hatred for the iniquity of the fallen nature of man. True love does not just expose it and oppose it, it offers up the solutions which are found in our instruction manual which was left for us to lead others into the paths of righteousness.
Brethren let’s strive to be like our Lord and Savior by having a faith that works through love, the love of people who are lost, sick, poor, and confused. People who may only know the tenants of their own humanity, or a false religion, or political ideology but are desperately lost in their sins. Let us also strive to keep the faith by confronting rigid religion, lying leaders, and misleading movements. For being Christ like means to walk in Spirit and Truth.
Brethren, if anybody be detected in any misconduct, you who are spiritual should restore such a one in a spirit of meekness. And let each of you keep watch over himself, lest he also fall into temptation. Galatians 6:1 Winston New Testament
The word of God is very explicit about discipline within the body of Christ, but many today are not accountable and therefore do not heed rebukes, correction, or instruction in righteousness, becoming rebels masking themselves with their particular brand of spirituality. The word iniquity is also defined as lawlessness, Jesus hates lawlessness. Those who refuse to be governed by the perfect law of liberty will find themselves the enemies of Christ for they are starting down the path to apostasy.
Let me ask you, are you truly like Jesus? In that you love what is biblically righteous and that you hate what is biblically iniquity. It’s a good question to ask yourself, I ask it of myself all the time, because pleasing God is my goal in life. I want to be like Jesus knowing that I truly love what is right and hate what is wrong.
Shalom & Agape, Apostle Ray

What is said, especially a specific part, makes me think of this next verse:
1Th 4:1 (1) Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.

There are many things that the Bible says God hates, but they pretty much fall under the word iniquity. There is no question about that. True Christians will hate iniquity too. The message does mention how the author doesn't hate people, but iniquity. I would agree that God doesn't want us to hate individuals, but that brings up something I have often pondered, and that is how we are to view Satan and the fallen angels. Do we simply hate their rebellion, or is it right to hate them as well? It is just something I have thought about over the years. There is no question they hate us, and are working overtime to destroy us, but then again, many sinful people hate us and want to destroy us too, and we assume we are to love them, but only hate their sin. What do you all think?

Scripture does draw a distinction between good-natured people who are lost/confused and those who are vessels of wickedness. Please understand I am NOT saying a good person can go to heaven without repenting. Only that God doesn’t literally hate every Nicodemus out there. God loves this world full of people who’ve been deceived, but He hates those who deliberately cast their lot with evil.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. — Romans 5:8
And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry; Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. — 1 Timothy 1:12-13
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? — Matthew 5:45-46
The Lord trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth. — Psalm 11:5
The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity. Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the Lord will abhor the bloody and deceitful man. — Psalm 5:5-6
Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies. — Psalm 139:21-22

Concerning the word hate, I think it is good to compare scriptures with scriptures to see the bigger picture. Now God does hate iniquity, but loves the people of the world, but in saying this when people continuously go against his plan and ways, they can eventually get God's judgment upon them. Of course the bible says this: Psa 11:5 (5) The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth. Psa 5:5 (5) The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity. But it also says this: Joh 3:16 (16) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 2Pe 3:9 (9) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. These 2 verses show that he loves every single person, and gives all a chance to repentance and receive of Christ's salvation. But even though he loves the whole world, there are some whom he has disfavor with, in fact it says he hatest all workers of iniquity. But it is not using the word hate, in the sense that God hates people's guts, you know in the sense of when people say "I hate your guts". God hates their iniquity, thus it abhors disfavor towards these workers of iniquity, but that does not mean that God does not have any love for these people, for he loves the world, and he would that none would perish, but he does abhor disfavor towards them. Here are good scriptures to compare to each other: Luk 14:26 (26) If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
| Mat 10:37 (37) He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
|
Both of these scriptures speak of the exact same thing, but one uses the word hate, and the other uses the words loving more. So hate in this case, is not referring to having no love at all towards your father , mother etc., but rather it is about showing more favor towards your mother, father, than towards God. So God, to you must be more favorable then our mother , father and so on, or else you cannot be his disciple, for God has to be, you can say number numero uno in your life, nothing must come before him. Rom 9:13 (13) As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. Well in one of our verses above, we see that God so loved the world, so God still had some type of love for Esau, but had disfavor towards Esau, and was favourable towards Jacob. He had a type of love towards Jacob, which was mixed with God having favour with him, but concerning Esau, he was displeased, and even though no doubt gave a chance to Esau to walk in God's ways, Esau did not choose this path, thus he garnered God's disfavor on him, thus God hated Esau. See hate in the bible in a big way is a type of displeasure or disfavour.

I am not so sure about how you are taking John 3:16. I don't take that as a blanket love for every individual, as much as love for his creation of mankind. He made a way where his entire creation wouldn't be destroyed, yet we know many are cast into hell.

Yes most are in hell, but it does say that he would that none would perish but that all should come to repentance, and Jesus died for the sins of the world, but of course most do not accept his sacrifice, and come to him in repentance, so he has ultimately shown love to the world by this sacrifice.
It says that God so loved the world, that he what? That he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
He did this for the whole world, and it showed love towards the whole world, for God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son.
It explains itself.
But of course man, who does not receive his salvation will ultimately suffer the wrath of God, and go to hell.
And no God is not pleased with every body.

Actually God's will is that none would perish, but that all should come to repentance.
The subject there is salvation.
If that is not love for all, then I do not know what is.

Yes it is a shame, and remember that God associates the giving of his Son with love, or it being a loving act.

And of course concerning your regular worldly person, such as an whore and so forth, Jesus tended to have more compassion upon these people, but concerning the religious leaders he had strong words to say against them.
Now how do you take John this next verse to mean?
Psa 5:5
(5) The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
Do you take this to mean all sinners, or just the religious leaders?
And of course the bible says that Jesus was a friend to sinners, and that he loved the world.
And then also, here is another interesting scripture:
Psa 7:11 (11) God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.
And here is another scripture to think upon:
Mat 5:44 (44) But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

That is how I look at that. Does the Bible say Jesus was a friend of sinners? I don't recall that. I think he was accused of that? And again, to me, loved the world means his creation as a whole. That scripture you mentioned from Matthew 5:44 is how God wants us to behave towards others. God casts sinners that don't repent into hell, so I don't think that applies.

When JESUS prayed in the garden . WHO DID HE PRAY for and WHO did HE NOT PRAY FOR . JESUS prayed for the desciples and for all who would come to faith through their word . I PRAY NOT FOR THE WORLD . HE SAID THAT TOO . HE said that . While it is true GOD desires none to perish . And HE WILL warn men and church TO REPENT . When GOD says Jacob have I loved but Essau have I hated . He really does depise evil works and those who reject Him , CHRIST , and correction . Leave them BE , EVERY PLANT that my FATHER has not planted , shall be rooted up . They the blind leading the blind . Let us simply focus on Christ , sound bible doctrine . Everthing that also the apostels wrote . Every warning , every promise , every mention of repent or else . Let it all be taken serious and embrace and loved . FOR EVERY WORD of GOD is as the pure dripping of the most rich flowing honey known . FEAST on them words and have big fat bellies of WORD EATEN TRUTH . TIME IS RUNNING OUT and the DELUSION will take any and all in its web that is not in the lambs book of life . The strong delusion will be believed and many will be damned . Let the last days church GO OUT as did the early church , FAITHFUL TO , TRUSTING IN and OBEDIANT UNTO THE HOLY LORD . SHOWING the PROOF of their love .

I do see your point on the Jesus being the friend of publicans and sinners thing, I just reread it, and never saw it that way before.
Mat 11:19 (19) The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.
It actually was a false accusation, because we know that Jesus was not a winebibber, and a gluttonous man, and it seems that they were saying that he was a friend of publicans and sinners, in a negative way, to were he would enjoy getting gluttonous with them, getting drunk with them, which is not the case.
I never knew that it was used in a negative way when Jesus being a friend of publicans and sinners was said.
But on other topics, I truly do believe that God loves the world as the bible says he does, and that he would that none would perish, but that all should come to repentance, which he gives a chance to all to come to repentance, which requires to show some type of love, for God is love.
But if people reject his love, reject his salvation, then they will ultimately face God's wrath , and go to hell.
Now concerning the this verse:
Psa 5:5 (5) The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
Are you saying that all sinners are workers of iniquity? Or just the ones who are not willing to repent right away?
Because you gave an answer, but it is not quite clear to me.
And also we have to remember that not every time you plant a seed , that at that moment a person is ready to repent, for some it takes time to get there.
And it is by the Spirit of God that we show love towards other people, even in the realm of loving your enemies, it is Christ flowing through us, and God showing love through us.

Oh no doubt God despised the works of Esau, and showed disfavor towards him, but nevertheless he still gave all a chance to come to him. And also we cannot ignore the verse that says to hate mother and father, yet another scripture explains it as saying to not love them more than God.
