Here’s Benny Hinn claiming he no longer believes the whole prosperity message. Whether he’s sincere or not, I don’t know, and this is not to promote him. We should rejoice that at least we’re seeing messages against it. Joyce Meyer recently said she’s been questioning the doctrine herself. I don’t care for Joyce Meyer, and this is not to put any trust in her, but at least it’s a start.
It’s certainly easy to say these preachers can afford to turn against it because they’ve made their millions. Who knows their true intentions? But at least that doctrine is dying on the vine and gullible lambs won’t be deceived.

we will see if it be of The Holy Ghost or if its to tone it down for another agenda... by their fruits you will know them.
lets not expect to much of these guys real quick tho... everything is in Gods time and they been at this teaching for awhile. there is a lot they will have to un-believe in their false theology.
but i must say... if this be from God... Glory Glory Hallelujah! You are good.

I really do not know why most people are obsessed with material prosperity.
Can God bless you?! Yes. Will He bless you?! Yes.
By having food, water and clothing with these we shall be content.
But we should not go too far and say that to have much money, food, or whatever is wrong. Everything in its time.
The focus of a Christian is not to get richer, materially speaking.
We are to be focused in spiritual prosperity, and in this matter so few are in the A class.
“I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich)...” - Revelation 2:9
“...For the Lord does not see as man sees;
for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” - 1 Samuel 16:7
The church plan of tourism should not be Israel and visit the beautiful temples, these kind of things.
They should plan to visit a devastated 3rd world country and learn and do something that will make them spiritually richer.
“Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this:
to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.” - James 1:27
Blessings to you in Jesus' name!

You have people watching shows like "Lifestyles of The Rich And Famous," and they want to be able to live like that.

You have people watching shows like "Lifestyles of The Rich And Famous," and they want to be able to live like that. People need to be delivered from this mindset.
They want to have abundance and their hearts are not prepared at all.
“...If riches increase, Do not set your heart on them.” - Psalm 62:10
“...Take heed and beware of covetousness,
for one's life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.” - Luke 12:15
For some people to become poor will indeed be a blessing. But will they understand it?! By God's grace, it is possible.
“Will you set your eyes on that which is not?
For riches certainly make themselves wings;
They fly away like an eagle toward heaven.” - Proverbs 23:5

I hope Benny Hinn is sincere. God can change hearts, and Hinn has a lot of followers.

It gains him respect from true Christians, but he will probably lose a lot of followers.

Well I pray this is the real deal, and in saying this, I have heard of a preacher who claimed to repent of the prosperity gospel, but some have told me that the fruit has not really changed.
I guess we will have to wait and see, but on top of that, let us see of they also renounce ecumenical-ism, which is extremely dangerous.
The fruit will show itself, in the end.

Here is an update for anyone who is interested. Benny Hinn did a lengthy interview to explain his full thoughts on this. He says he has come to realize that true prosperity in the Lord is when the Lord meets your needs and blesses your life. He says as long as your needs are met and you are reasonably successful in your calling, you are biblically prosperous. He also says he can’t control the old recorded videos of him already out there, but in the future things will change in his ministry.
Perhaps it is all an act – I don’t know his heart – but the Bible tells us to try to think the best of people, and anyway if he’s acting this is a pretty good acting job. While I am not a promoter of him, I hold out hope that perhaps the Lord really is talking to him.

Oh you always hope it is true, because then it would be something to rejoice about, and God will reveal it.

I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. I see nothing to gain from this.

I am hoping the best here. I am hoping we see new beginnings for the body here... i have been seeing so much of this thing in my little circle. even in my own life. Gods goodness being poured out. New beginnings. I am expectantly watching for Gods goodness to show in His workings in the days to come. in peoples lives. in their testimony. i tell you i have seen God doing good things. big things. did you know the country the church is growing the most in right now in the world is iran??... a country where its completely illegal to convert.
Php 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
just think how many look to benny hinn as their guru. I know the Spirit is calling now. i do not know mr. Hinn is sincere in this, but it has kindled with in me a real desire to pray for those who are drowning in false teaching.... Oh Lord open their eyes and deliver them from their idols. give them a heart to follow after righteousness and truth. even in me Oh God... turn us back to you and we will sing of your love and mercy and grace forever.
and its not just the teachers fault... but the people. they wanted it. just like in jeremiah. those false prophets had those dreams because the people wanted it. they spoke falsely because they wanted it. the false prophets told Gods people you wont stay in babylon long, but Jeremiah told them, to have kids and get ready to stay a while. He even told them further if its goes well for you it will also go well for the city... we are to be an influence to CHANGE THEM BY THE POWER OF THE HOLY GHOST. this is our calling. our purpose. to be a light to those in the dark.
