2Jn 1:10-11 (10) If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: (11) For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
What is it talking about here?
What is this God speed thing talking about?
What is it meaning?
And in what way is it saying this?
Study it out, so to see, God is good.

Don't encourage or help false teachers. You sure are hinting on some points of this, there is no doubt.

Now what about the word God speed itself?
What does that mean?

Now what about the word God speed itself? What does that mean? To me, that just means wishing them speedy success in what they are doing. That God will help them.

Here are a few definitions on the word Speed and God speed:
(Webster's dictionary, word speed)
(4. Success; prosperity in an undertaking; favorable issue; that is, advance to the desired end....)
(Godspeed noun
God·speed | \ ˈgäd-ˈspēd\
Definition of Godspeed : a prosperous journey : success bade him Godspeed)
(Oxford dictionaries)
(Godspeed
[ˌɡädˈspēd]
EXCLAMATION
dated
an expression of good wishes to a person starting a journey.)
Now I just read that some think that the word God speed is an erroneous interpretation, and it should be good speed, but I do not agree with this, I believe the KJV guys got it right.
Now let us get back to our scripture:
2Jn 1:10-11 (10) If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: (11) For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
What are these people doing?
They are coming unto you, and are bringing another gospel to you, which reminds me of Jehovah's witnesses, and Mormons today, which there are others of course as well, but these are just examples.
So they are on a mission to convert people to their doctrine, or you could say they are on a journey.
And on their journey, or in what they are doing, why would a Christian bid them God speed, for them to be prosperous in their journey to convert others to their doctrine?
That would be evil, and basically you are giving them God's blessing for their journey of bringing another gospel to people, that is evil and wrong.

You do not bid to someone bringing to you another gospel, God speed. I agree with you Giller. I take it so serious, I wouldn't even wish those at WCF God's speed or His blessings in spreading their false doctrine. I will pray for them to be right with God and hope that they will come to the truth, but will not pray for their success in spreading lies. The same thing goes to cults like you mentioned.
