On the subject of independent churches… many of these supposed independent flocks were started by a pastor who was in the SBC five minutes ago. Or United Methodist or Assembly of God or whatever else. They don’t like how the denomination is going, or perhaps they get kicked out for having an affair, or whatever it may be, and then they go out to start up their own independent thing. It’s the same as a career politician who tries to convince you this time isn’t politics as usual.
Not that I’m telling anyone to leave an independent church. By all means, if you are being blessed in a church, I’m happy for you. But many of these church planters are in fact career church planters. For me personally, if I found out that the pastor of an independent flock is still heavily influenced by his denomination background, and he started this independent thing to be his own boss, it would be a red flag. I would not be interested in sitting under a pastor like that.

Yes, I do still attend a traditional church. It is far from perfect, but I have been there a long time. I haven't felt led to leave, and I am not sure where I would go if I did. It is an independent full gospel church.

It is an independent full gospel church. If you like your church, I am not seeking to get you to leave. Thanks for your input. I don't doubt there are still some good ones around, but they are becoming rare.

Yall know my story . I was raised In no church . And wild born hog pig . OH , I had heard the gospel once or twice . Then on may thirtieth of two thousand and six , A WHOLD NEW LIFE began . BIBLE READING BIG TIME . And soon I started visting churches . So many I cant count . THey all tanked man . The doctrine was bad to worse . YET the bible , that doctrine WAS and IS ALWAYS EDIYING . Anyone wanna guess why the churches doctrine was so empty , YET The BIBLE so full of joy and total edfication . BECAUSE when GOD changes a man , HE PUTS HUNGER and LOVE FOR TRUTH alone ON THAT HEART . Course as I grew in grace , IT took not long before I realized why those churches were so empty in doctrine to me . THEY FALSE . THEY INFECTED With warren and seeker friendly , infected with bridge builders and common ground . ITS a total mad house . But , THE JOY OF THE LORD has always BEEN MY STRENGTH and WAHT A JOY to find others who LOVE TRUTH , who LOVE JESUS IN SPIRIT and TRUTH and in SINCERITY . MAKE a blind man see total beauty , a lame man leap up and dance praise and a mute man sing accapello the world round .

Those folks teach falsehoods , SO FROM SUCH I TURN AWAY . Does it make me look like a hater , yeah . BUT oh well . I got no business , nor does any other , sitting under them well decked bafoons who peddle lies to the people . This lamb wants lamb chow , NOT GOATS GRUB .

At my childhood my mother took me daily church for prayer but as I grown I know the truth behind Church. According to me Church is not only a way to worship. You can go to an orphan, hospital and school and help to others is the best way of your prayer or worship.

Do you mean that you know there is more to being a Christian than just going to church, because if that is what you are saying, I completely agree.
