Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

This is another conditional promise from our Lord.
1. Ask and it shall be given you. 2. Seek and ye shall find. 3. Knock and it shall be opened unto you.
The key is to Ask, Seek and knock. Interestingly enough, the first letter of each of these words spells ASK. That should make this easy to remember.
1. Everyone that asketh receiveth. 2. He that seeketh findeth. 3. To him that knocketh, it shall be opened.

Most everyone is familiar with "the golden rule," It says do unto others what you would have them do unto you. That is almost exactly the same thing Jesus says here.
"Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them." Jesus goes on to say, "for this is the law and the prophets." If we do this, we fulfil the law. This goes back to the second great commandment to love our neighbor as ourselves. This is such a simple truth, and easy way to please God. What would this world be like if we all did this all the time.

That is true. If we would just treat others as we want to be treated all the time, we would be loving our neighbor as our self. I will have to remember that as well as ASK+ Ask, Seek & Knock.

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets
Matthew 22:37-40

Matthew 22:37-40 The way sounds simple on the surface, love God and your neighbor and you fulfilled all of the law, but this means a lot more than feelings of empathy and emotion based love. It is a love that causes us to act in a certain way. It leads us to do good towards our neighbor, to pray for them, to assist them when they need help. Our love for God also causes us to seek a relationship with him, not to transgress his commandments and to worship Him.
