Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Matthew 7:13,14

The question was once asked of Jesus, "Are there few that be saved?" It appears from what he said here, that is the case.

Have you ever heard the old song that say, "I am using my Bible for a road map?" Here is a great example of how it serves as a map. Are you desiring to get to the strait gate and eternal life, or the broad gate with destruction on the other side? Jesus tells us clearly how to reach both destinations. The narrow road leads to the strait gate while the broad road leads to the wide gate? Which are you on?
A broad road is easy. Do anything you want and fulfil every fleshly lust and desire. Not so on the narrow path. It requires patience and discipline. You need the fruit of the Spirit working in you to remain in this way. Those following Jesus and obeying him are on the narrow path, while the disobedient and all inclusive travel together down the broad path. The map is here to follow. Which gate is waiting at the end of the path you are on?
