Jesus paid the dreadful debt of all His elect, and made a full atonement for the whole mass of the iniquities of them that shall believe in Him, thereby removing the whole tremendous load, and casting it by one lift of His pierced hand into the depths of the sea. When Jesus died, an atonement was offered by Him and accepted by the Lord God, so that before the high court of heaven there was a distinct removal of sin from the whole body of which Christ is the head. In the fullness of time each redeemed one individually accepts for himself the great Atonement by an act of personal faith.

Believers may know that when Jesus died they were delivered from the claims of Law, and when He rose again their justification was secured. The blood of the Lamb is a real price, which did effectually ransom. The blood of the Lamb is a real cleansing, which did really purge away sin. Once repentance>salvation comes You are His forever!Son of God has come in the flesh and died for human sin, and that in dying He did not only make it possible for God to forgive, but He secured forgiveness for all who are in Him.

according to scripture there is a tiny little hitch. a conditional hitch. Col 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. Col 1:21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled Col 1:22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: Col 1:23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
its plain english this passage is talking about Jesus being crucified to pay the debt for our sin, and then it says IF ye continue. You see, it is possible for a christian to turn and go another way. or basically abandon their faith and commit apostasy. Apart of our faith is to remain steadfast in a heart of repentance, and walking in a way which we are striving to live Holy. If one does not do this they are NOT living by faith. If one does not do this they honor God with their lips but their heart is far from Him. And a good many give up along the way because they believe the false teaching that they can inquire a HOLY GOD to move a mountain in their life but they do not realize the truth which is a sin they are holding on to is preventing The LORD to move on their behalf. and the thing is He really does want to set us free.
and there is much much more...
Joh 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
Joh 15:6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. Joh 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
So lets be very careful in the message we speak to others because the scripture does speak about those false teachers who promise liberty but do not deliver... and their damnation is much worse than those who believe their false teachings:
2Pe 2:19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. 2Pe 2:20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 2Pe 2:21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 2Pe 2:22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

Rom 8:12-13 (12) Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. (13) For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
If a brother in the Lord, turns away from Christ, and eventually lives after the flesh, what will happen to him?
He shall die, die ,die, which is spiritual death, and not physical death of course, for we all physically die, unless raptured.
