Matthew 1:23 says, "Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us." Jesus Christ is God! That is right. Emmanuel means "God with us." Jesus said that he is I AM. Then we have the passage in Isaiah calling Jesus, the Mighty God. What more does anyone need? We can clearly see that scripture says Jesus Christ is God, so if you are arguing against that, and saying that this goes against your understanding of the relationship between the Father and his Son Jesus Christ, the problem is with you.

We have a person that was banned, but comes here and reads on occasion, I am writing this to, but it is really for anyone that doubts that the Bible says Jesus Christ is God. I want you all to look at what this scripture says and ponder it, as it is clearly speaking of Jesus Christ.
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder; and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. Isaiah 9:6,7
This should end the controversy forever. Look at what the Bible says Jesus Christ shall be called:
1 Wonderful 2 Counsellor 3 The Mighty God 4 The everlasting Father 5 The Prince of Peace
If Jesus shall be called, "The Mighty God," this shows He is God! Let that sink in to anyone who has any doubt. Jesus said that he and the Father are one, and it says here Jesus Christ shall be called, "The everlasting Father." The doctrine of the Holy Trinity is a mystery, and it is not easy for us to wrap our minds around it sometimes, how there can be one God existing in three persons, but that is the truth, but even if you don't want to accept the concept of the Trinity, there should be no debate that if you believe the Bible, you have to accept that Jesus Christ is "The Mighty God." Jesus himself said that he is "I AM." I pray that God will make this clear to everyone, so you can believe and truly be saved.
Greetings Dear Brethren of the Lord Jesus Christ "And his name shall be called".....by Whom? Are YE not calling the SON all these titles today? This prophesy is fulfilled. Jesus Christ is that awesome! The fullness of God "dwells" in him, therefore many mistake him for the Father. Colossians 1:19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; John 17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

1 Corinthians 15:24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
1 Corinthians 15:25 For he must reign, till HE hath put all enemies under his feet.
1 Corinthians 15:26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
1 Corinthians 15:27 For HE hath put all things under HIS feet. But when HE saith all things are put under him, it is MANIFEST that HE is EXCEPTED, which did put all things under him.
...It is manifest....
1 Corinthians 15:28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
Mark 12:36 For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool.

Revelation 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which GOD GAVE UNTO HIM, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
Revelation 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is THE FAITHFUL WITNESS, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
Revelation 1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and HIS FATHER; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
1 John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is ANTICHRIST, that denieth THE FATHER and THE SON.
Luke 2:49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about MY FATHER'S business?
Matthew 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, THIS IS MY BELOVED SON, in whom I am well pleased.
Matthew 12:18 Behold MY SERVANT, whom I have chosen; MY BELOVED, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put MY SPIRIT upon HIM, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.
Matthew 17:5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, THIS IS MY BELOVED SON, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
You don't believe that God has a son? You deny this? Despite all the scriptures telling us over and over? You only say that Christ is God's son when it suits you, but you don't really believe it, nor do you teach and proclaim it.
Matthew 16:13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
Matthew 16:14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
Matthew 16:15 He saith unto them, BUT WHOM SAY YE THAT I AM?
Matthew 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, THE SON of THE LIVING GOD.
Matthew 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but MY FATHER which is in heaven.
How long will you persecute those who answer the same as Peter? You are not claiming what Peter answered but the opposite. You are in opposition to the very truth that Jesus praised Peter for. Peter answered correctly. He did not say that Christ was the Father, but the Son. I pray your eyes be open. Truth first.

It does not say that God called him those titles. It says "His Name shall be called" I say that prophecy is foretelling what the people will call his name. Is this not happening today? Are you not doing it also? Giving Christ the same titles as his Father with the mish mash of with his own titles? I do not believe that Jesus is God the Father, but the Son of God. I believe the clear and simple message of truth that is given to us in the scriptures. Peter answered correctly and that scripture should be a testament and a witness to all who claim otherwise. Jesus is so special like no other, and God made sure that we knew that. That he adored his Son. Christ is his No. 1. and him shall we serve. When you say that Christ is really God the Father, you take that glory away that God gave to his Son. You delete that Father/Son loving relationship. It's made null and void. John 3:35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

Jesus Christ is God The Father, God The Son and God The Holy Spirit in that this is one God in three persons. As a married man, I am one with my wife, yet we are two personalities. In the case of the Trinity, there is also perfect unity.

Greetings again Dear Brethren.
Please do not ignore this
1 Corinthians 15:27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is "manifest" that "he" is "excepted", which did put all things under him.
This needs to be addressed please. Why do we skip over as if it was not said?
Who put all things under who's feet?
What is manifest?
Obviously all things that were put under his feet does not include the one who put all things under him.
God is not under Christ. He is the only exception. Do we understand?
John 14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: ...for my Father is greater than I...

MYSTERY!!!!
It is written Jesus is the SON of GOD.
The BEGINNING of the GOSPEL of Jesus Christ, the SON of God; (Mark 1:1)
A flawed foundation will cause many flaws and will only get worse.
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth SHALL make you free. (John 8:32)
But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I HAVE HEARD OF GOD: this did not Abraham. (John 8:40)
TRUTH = TRUTH FLAWS = FLAWS ERROR MEANS ERROR
Proud and rejecting the truth does not make a true disciple of Christ.
Jesus is the Son of God. This is truth.
And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as MY FATHER hath APPOINTED UNTO ME; (Luke 22:29)
I have many things to say and to judge of you: but HE that SENT ME is true; and I speak to the world those things which I HAVE HEARD OF HIM. (John 8:26)
THEY understood NOT that he spake to them of THE FATHER. (John 8:27)
They understood not that Jesus IS the Son of God.
They came preaching another gospel saying Jesus is NOT the Son of God but God the Father.
The BEGINNING of the GOSPEL of Jesus Christ, the SON of God; (Mark 1:1)
Go back to the truth, the beginning of the true gospel beloved brothers and sisters in Christ.

Jesus is Lord. He is also the Son of God and the Son of Man....but who is sufficient for these things....they are hard to be understood. I just believe it all and hope to understand better down the road or in eternity. Good to be reminded of all these truths though. I don't think anyone's intention here is to deny any aspect of the truth, just we have been focusing on one aspect that doesn't often get talked about.

Greetings again Dear Brethren. Please do not ignore this 1 Corinthians 15:27 For he hath put all things under his feet. John 14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: ...for my Father is greater than I... I am not ignoring this. Of course Jesus Christ is not greater than God the Father. God the Father is the God head, meaning His will is what is being done, just as the head of a human body controls that body. My arms do the will of my head. They are not greater than my head. My legs do the will of my head. They are not greater than my head, yet the are all still me. The God head sent Jesus Christ, His Son, into this world and put all things under His feet, but Jesus Christ is not greater than His head. There is nothing complicated about this.

The BEGINNING of the GOSPEL of Jesus Christ, the SON of God; (Mark 1:1)
Go back to the truth, the beginning of the true gospel beloved brothers and sisters in Christ. I want to revisit the OP of this thread. You used spin to ignore it. The passage is not saying what it is in a negative way, like saying that in the future, people will mistakenly say certain things about Jesus Christ that is not so. The very notion is so absurd, I don't think anyone would take it serious unless they were intentionally trying to pervert the Bible. Talk about prideful! To willfully pervert this passage in such a way is prideful and arrogant. It is a feeble attempt to hold on to a false doctrine, and to continue to deny that Jesus Christ is God. Lets revisit that passage again. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
This is a proclamation from God, not things people will say falsely about Jesus. It states, "The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this." Nobody in their right mind would take this to be something negative, and a prophecy that people will mistakenly see Jesus as The Mighty God and the Everlasting Father! Are we falsely calling him Wonderful? Is that a mistake on our part? How about calling Jesus the Prince of Peace? Is that in error too? What you are doing is the same thing other false teachers have done for ages. You are trying to reconcile your false ideas with other scriptures that prove you wrong, so you come up with nonsense like this. We all recognize Jesus Christ is the Son of God. You aren't telling us anything we don't already know. Nobody is denying that. I am saying that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and He is also God himself. What do you not understand about Trinitarian doctrine? We all believe there is one God in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Just as the human body has more than one part, so does God. Just as a husband and wife are one flesh, they are also two personalities. Yes, Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and He is also God the Father, in that they are one. Jesus said that himself. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. Believe me that I am in the Father; and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works sake. John 14:9-11 Believest not that Michael? If you see Jesus, you have seen the Father. What does that mean, I am fully correct to call Jesus Christ The Everlasting Father, because that is true! He is also The Mighty God. Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. John 8:58 This was a clear reference to the name God the Father, Jehovah, said He shall be called in Exodus 3:14. And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
The Bible makes it clear that Jesus Christ is God. You are in denial. John 1:1 IN the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The Word mentioned here is Jesus Christ. Notice that it says he was with God and was God! Yes, he was both with God and was God at the same time. Again, the mystery of the Trinity. One God, but three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. And to put the icing on the cake, Matthew 1:23 says the following about Jesus Christ. Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
What is your response to this scripture, to claim that people will call Jesus "God with us," but will be saying something false? Can't you see how absurd your claims are? Again, we all believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Nobody is denying that. I am saying Jesus Christ is the Son of God, but He is also God, as the Bible clearly says He is. I am denying nothing in scripture, but you are. My doctrine fits. My doctrine allows for all the scriptures to be true. It doesn't choose to believe some while ignoring others as yours does.
