This probably would fit better in the Exposing Works Of Darkness section, but that area is not seen by everyone, so I am posting it here. If John wants to move it, that is fine.
There are a lot of extra-Biblical gnostic letters said to be written by the early apostles to legitimize them. They will claim Peter or Thomas wrote about secret teachings of Jesus, but these letters were not really written by them. The same thing is also happening with the reformers. There was a fragment of a letter floating around being said to have been written by Martin Luther claiming a Christian could commit 1000 acts of murder and theft a day without repenting and go to heaven. There is a false teacher at another message board saying Martin Luther said this, when even those promoting the letter admit they can't prove Luther was the author. Since Luther rejected the OSAS heresy, it seems odd he would make such a statement. It would be false, even if he said it, but my point is, beware of such claims. They are often untrue.

I am not a Lutheran, but I don't believe Martin Luther said such a thing! Nobody in their right mind would believe that or follow a nut that would teach it. It borders on blasphemy.

Imagine a heaven where your neighbors are unrepentant murderers, thieves, rapists, child molesters, etc., and they got in because they, like the devils, believe Jesus is the Son of God. There is a guy teaching that with free reign at Worthy. To help him save face, he was coached to tell his critics this is a hyperbole, but that makes no difference when he believes it. Obviously, the leadership agrees with him or thinks it is no big deal.

I knew it was bad over there, but the OSAS teachers used to just say sinners like that were never saved. I can't believe they are allowed to teach that! You think the leadership is helping the person spreading that? You mean the moderators or does it go all the way to the top?

I think it goes all the way to the top. It's a sad state of affairs if that is true. The owner of a major so-called Christian message board being ok with and promoting that kind of heretical doctrine!

Go read what is being promoted for yourself! If you haven't been there lately, it might shock you. You are still a member aren't you?

I still am. I don't post enough to get noticed or in trouble. I quit going there because of the constant fighting over OSAS. That is all they want to talk about.

I am undecided about OSAS. I see some scriptures that look like they are teaching that, and others that do not. I definitely DO NOT believe that someone can go to heaven if they are unrepentant sinners that go around committing rape and murder! I can't believe anyone would teach something like that! You said that was at another message board? Who is running that place?
I am glad that you all are letting us have a conversation about OSAS. I read your beliefs and know you don't agree with it, and I don't mind the restrictions you put in place. That is the only way we can come to the truth one way or the other.
Happy New Year to everyone at Narrow Way.

Happy New Year to everyone at Narrow Way. Hello Just Believe and welcome. I just assumed you came from Worthy, but I guess not? Happy New Year to you too. I don't know who Worthy is, and if they are teaching what you said they are, I don't care to. I came across you by accident. I am not sure what I believe about OSAS, and am not sure I agree with all of your beliefs, but I appreciate you allowing visitors a place to ask questions. I don't know if I really want to join any message board, but I go to a church that teaches OSAS, and I am confused about it. Thanks again for allowing us to have this conversation.

Happy New Year to everyone at Narrow Way. I am glad you are taking advantage of this forum. I have given others the same opportunity, and they don't want to have a conversation about OSAS. They just want to fight about it. Feel free to ask all the questions you want. Just make sure everything remains Bible-based, not a bunch of emotional rants and accusations. I appreciate your sincerity in trying to get to the truth. We will do our best to answer any questions you may have.

There is not a single place in the Bible where it teaches anything close to that. You would think they would shut that down.

If saying God allows rapists, thieves and murderers into heaven, when they don't repent and are not sorry for their crimes, just because they believe in Jesus isn't heresy, I don't know what is! Maybe it is for the best. It may not make a dent in the hard core OSAS believers, but that kind of doctrine has to be a turn off to those on the fence.
