And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him. Acts 28:30-31
On our Bible Study on New Years Day, we were discussing things that Jesus and the Apostles taught and instructed us to teach. One of the things that we find taught a great deal by Jesus Christ was the Kingdom of God, and we also see that the Apostle Paul was busy "preaching the kingdom of God." I thought it might be interesting to have a thread where we simply post scriptures about the kingdom of God, and what the Bible says, so that is what this thread is about. It is about going through the Bible and posting scriptures dealing with the Kingdom of God.

By the way, any scriptures that mention Kingdom of Heaven should be included as well. I think most would be surprise how many times this comes up in the New Testament. As we post in this thread, I would ask that everyone allow the scriptures to speak for themselves, so nobody can accuse us of twisting them.

This scripture I am going to post is the very first reference to the Kingdom of heaven we find in the New Testament.
IN those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, And saying, Repent ye,: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Matthew 3:1-2
The next time you see kingdom of heaven mentioned in the New Testament is in this verse.
From that time, Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Matthew 4:17

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:3
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:10
Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:19
For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:20

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Matthew 7:21

And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 8:11
And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Matthew 10:7
Verily I say unto you, Among women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. Matthew 11:11-12
But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you. Matthew 12:28

Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not: and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. but blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them. Matthew 13:11-17

I once encountered a woman who said a guest preacher said that Jesus taught the Kingdom and Paul taught about the church, and there was some kind of change that took place after Calvary where the message of the Kingdom no longer applied. This shows that Paul did preach about the Kingdom.
I hate that I cannot be here for Bible Study. I have church on Wednesday nights, but it sounds like you get into some interesting discussions.

There are so many false doctrines, it is impossible to keep up with them all. If you have a good home church, you should go. We do have a good time studying God's Word together on Wednesday nights, but I don't want to pull anyone away from a good local church. They are too hard to find.

I believe that. I have been going to the same church for a long time. It is not perfect, but I doubt any church is.

Hear the parable of the sower. When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
He that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful,
But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. Matthew 13:18-23

The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. Matthew 13:24-30

The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof. Matthew 13:31-32

The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened. Matthew 13:33
