Something I am hoping to do in the upcoming year is our version of a no spin zone. I am planning to start threads where we post all the scripture we can find on certain words or phrases in scripture. I just started one on Kingdom of God and Kingdom of Heaven, where we post all the verses we can find with those phrases in scripture. The reason I am doing this is because often times, people will take scriptures and then shape them with their words. I want to have some threads where we are just posting scripture without trying to force an interpretation on it. Let the Word speak for itself. I hope this will be one more way of getting the truth out of what the Bible actually teaches.

That is a good idea, because a lot of people really never took the time to read the Bible. They know Bible verses, and they follow along with a preacher, but they don't really take time to read it, and they do not know what Jesus and the Apostles taught. They only know what others claim they taught.

They only know what others claim they taught. I am not claiming to have absolute truth. Only Jesus could ever claim that, but I do know that my overall belief system is Biblical. I know that from all the times I read the Bible. I have no fear of what scripture teaches, and in context. Anyone that is standing for the truth has nothing to fear in people knowing the Bible. The ones that have something to fear are those who are intentionally being misleading or teaching falsehoods. If I am wrong about something, I want to know, so I go out of my way to encourage people to read their Bible and to know what Jesus and the Apostles really taught.

Amen. Wisdom and knowledge are the key to avoiding deceptions. A true servant of God will always encourage Bible reading.

It is much more difficult for the devil to fool a Bible educated person than someone going by their personal feelings about right and wrong.
