THE SOUND OF SOUNDNESS
Let my heart be sound in thy statutes; that I be not ashamed. Psalms 119:80 KJV
: to cause to sound: trumpet
: to put into words : voice
: to make known : proclaim
: free from error, fallacy, or misapprehension
: sound mind
: sound advice :
: sound reasoning
Brethren, my heart throbs with a prayer to be sound in the principles of my God. It longs to be free from the errors of humanism, the fallacy of false religion, the miscomprehension of false narratives. God longs to make my mind sound through the comprehension of the scriptures to unveil and reveal the treasures of his truth which is hidden to the unsound mind of carnal man. In the pages of his spiritual sages there is sound advice to keep me pure things that entice. O how I love the reason of righteousness and resource of the rendering uprightness. O Lord sound the trumpet an invitation to a spiritual summit; a place of your presence where you put into words the soundness of your voice is made clear; a proclamation of stabilization.
I will have a sound heart; a heart that is set free.
I will have a pure heart; a heart that reflects you.
I will have a strong heart; a heart that beats with courage
I will have a good heart; a heart that loves others
O Lord I am naked before you there is nothing I can hide; create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit in me. If I have wandered into blindness and my sin I cannot see; restore unto me your salvation and open the eyes of my heart that I may plainly see. I’ll disavow delusion and put to flight confusion and walk in reality. Let my heart be sound directed by your word; let me study to show myself approved so I will not suffer shame.
Brethren; a sound heart has a righteous rhythm and it can be clearly heard. A sound heart throbs with the affections from above. It is seen in our character and has unction guided love. It dwells within a body subjected to discipline and is sculptured by the word. It reasons from the platform of the mind of Christ and transforms us through sound doctrine inscribed on our hearts.
O Lord to you I pray for my brethren today. Let your word be their substance and let their hearts yield to its principles and imperatives. Let their minds conceive and apply those with the love of obedience and submission to you. Touch them profoundly and excel their understanding and fill them with zeal to accomplish your desires which will enhance their peace and give them soundness of spirit, mind, and body. Amen.
Brethren, keep the faith today by hearing the trumpet that announces God’s presence, by hearing his voice those things put into words, and by being willing to proclaim or make known what God is saying in your life. Selah
Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
