This is something I feel led to encourage us all to do. We all have a lot of things going on that requires prayer. Every Thursday night, we take these requests to the Lord. I was considering having additional prayer meetings, and I felt like what would be more pleasing to God and lead to a more effective prayer life is if we spend time in praise and worship where we ask for nothing. Make it all about God, and do that throughout the week leading up to our prayer service. We need to learn to be thankful and not always have a give me list when we go into God's presence. This is something I felt I need to work on.

I want to add one thing. I am not saying not to pray for needs but once a week. I am suggesting to make time to praise and worship without making requests, but not that you can't pray for needs at other times, like praying for your daily provision like Jesus taught us to do.

God is not a personal genie. I believe he wants us to request things by faith, but not where we praise and worship 60 seconds and ask for things for the next 60 minutes.

WHAT A BEAUTFIUL REMINDER . OH let the lambs rejoice in the LORD . Every word of the LORD is such a beauty and beautiful gem to be treasured upon the heart . I seen it elsewhere too , my dear sister , and put a fat mark on it . YEP . What a feast to the soul .
