MAKE BELIEVE PIETY
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. (2 Timothy 3:1 KJV)
As a minister it is part of my responsibility to protect the flock of God which I am entrusted with. I am an under shepherd and do not take that responsibility lightly. As a shepherd I’m call to foresee any danger which may come to destroy the sheep in my charge. The anointing in my life coupled with spiritual discernment is increased to enable to perform my duties accordingly. The enemy of God’s flock is subtle and cunning and is a master at deception. He uses the very scriptures of the bible and twists them to deceive the children of God. A true shepherd has prepared themselves by thoroughly equipping themselves in the understanding of the scriptures.
Holding to an outward form of godliness but denying its power. Avoid these people! (2 Timothy 3:5 TLV)
We are living in a time of make believe piety. People know the Christian language and phrases and are full of fake praises. They have no power or Spirit to live a life of true holiness. They truly have a form without any force. They pursue the idols of their hearts under the guise of Christianity. When a move of God is sweeping through the church; these people are usually in protest. Why? A true move of God exposes their lying lifestyle for what it is because God brings conviction. I commit to you today that much of the so-called body of Christ is polluted with the mentality of the world and are not looking for Jesus to come and in reality believe that he has delayed his coming or isn’t coming at all.
Boast not in your pride for the loudness of it shall surely reach the throne in heaven. No one can hide the seeds of sin from him who sees all and knows all. If someone thinks to be so cleaver that they can hide from God; it is to mock and jeer without fear and it shall surely be recompensed.
Hey people this is the planet of fallen creation! If you’ve read the account of creation; remember in the book of Genesis it was Adam who willfully and knowingly sinned when he partook of the forbidden fruit. It was at that point that his actions brought the curse upon creation and the pristine state of the planet and mankind was destined to deterioration. From that point every child born was born with what is theologically called “original sin”. Man became defiled and his pristine state of innocence perished in the Garden of Eden. He was cast out of the physical paradise that God had created for him. In theological terms we know that Adam was a type of Christ in the negative sense; it was by his actions sin came into the world; but Christ being the second Adam has brought salvation into the world. But the Adams died; the first died spiritually because of sin; the second died in the flesh because of life.
The Sanhedrin were the arbitrators of Jewish law when Jesus upon the earth; he kept the law while his accusers did not. Jesus fulfilled every mandate of the law and died the death of a criminal being totally innocent of the charges against him. Our sin came upon him while he was on the cross and for the first time in his life he felt the absence of the Father.
(46) And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Matthew 27:46 KJV
Christ did not cease being the theos-anthropos (God-Man). What he was experiencing was the wrath of God for our sins; the excruciating pain and emotional trauma of the moment; and could have been longing for the Father’s divine intervention. Yet it pleased the Father to bruise him for the reconciliation of us all.
(10) Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. Isaiah 53:10 KJV
Brethren; see the brutality our Savior suffered for our sins: yet it is God’s good pleasure to save us and give us the power to walk in the Spirit. We should love him with all that is within us and seek first and foremost the Kingdom of God and his righteousness for our righteousness is as filthy rags before his holiness. Brethren; “those who will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution”. The Christian life is a blessed one; but also one that takes strength to stand the trials.
There are times we will walk in the wilderness; there will be times of isolation; there will be times we will have to press into prayer in our Gethsemane and face our enemies in the darkness of night; there will be times that we are made a spectacle of in the presence of our enemies; and put on public trial for our Christianity. Christ our forerunner endured this kind of shame for the joy that was set before him; that joy was our salvation. He humbled himself even unto death instead of rising up in flesh against his enemies. He suffered death so we could endure and enjoy eternal life.
Brethren; let us give heed to God in obedience hating the garment that is stained with sin. Let us give heed to the word of God which sanctifies us through its truths that transform us daily. Let our faith be genuine and our walk be upright seeking the will of the Father in every form and fashion to his glory, honor, and praise! Brethren; keep the faith and the faith will keep you! Selah
Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
