Hi, my name is MsBerry and I'm an online friend of naominash living in the UK.
Naomi wanted me to tell everyone that she is having some issues at home just now but she is safe and ok.
I think I would probably align myself most closely with Christian socialism. Love singing and playing music, and like bringing joy to others in doing so.
Naomi and I have had interesting discussions on political alignment and we don't agree but that's ok.

Thank you all for accepting me here.
In my own words, and from a personal perspective, Cletus, Christian socialism is basically living as Jesus would have, and would have us do. Is helping those who are discriminated against and oppressed, doing good in the world, and abiding by all his teachings. This might be a bit controversial in ways, but when I read what He says in the Bible, it is clear to me that He acted as socialists do (or certainly should) in the modern world. Helping the poor, healing the sick, and showing love and compassion for all of humanity, not seeing any man (or woman) as 'better' than any other. Loving thy neighbour is seen as the second most important commandment, regardless of one's beliefs or actions. One does not have to agree with them, but one should always have compassion and understanding for why they are as they are and accepting them as they are regardless. Being humble and of service to others, is living like Jesus.
Socialists do tend to 'side' if there is any real 'side, with the oppressed, I know I always have even as a child. They should want to ensure that everyone has the same chances in life, and in current society, under the current system, that means asking the state to provide basic needs/human rights. Healthcare and education should be free, as these to me as basic human rights, in order to run a well functioning society where everyone has the same opportunities to fulfil their potential, and contribute to the community. Everyone has a God given purpose in life and everyone has the right to be able to fulfil it. This can only be done in a society that does not enforce limitations on people's potential. I feel personally that our society makes money and the pursuit of it to central to being able to exist, whereas if people had more chances to make choices that were truly their own, they would be happier, healthier and more able to do what they are ultimately here for, as God would intend it. It would be good if everyone lived according to Jesus's teachings, then this would be achievable, sadly they do not. But the need for money to survive makes it a way of controlling people rather than a way of obtaining genuine freedom. We should not worship money as we are encouraged to do. We do get caught up in material things. We are all hypocrites to a degree and socialists are no exception of course. But ideally that's what Christian socialism means to me. Basically living as Jesus intended, and employing the system (economic, political, whatever type) under which we all live in a way that mirrors his teachings. Would be a short hand way of explaining it.

Sister berry you are dearly loved . dearly . and it is why i beg you to leave that gosple . I know well about it and i know from whence it sprang . Please do not be angered . please dont be . But all we need to do is Learn the biblical jesus well , PUT the true gosple of beleive in HIM first and foremost . I know this social gosple can seem like its okay . Because it does focus on some good works . It does . But it is not the one true gosple . Francis the pope is heavily into this stuff . IT did spring from ROME and from the liberal churches and has well enveloped the evanglical side big time as well . We need to simply have an all out return to bibles , to teaching EVERY thing that both JESUS and the Apostels taught . Just please leave that social gosple mindset . We are here for you dear sister . and we can all exhort one another daily and build one another up . I do love you sister . more than you know , and its why i direly beg you to not focus on that social gosple . JUST focus on JESUS and the true gosple and read lots and lots of the bible daily . And we will be here for you dear sister .

Basically living as Jesus intended, and employing the system (economic, political, whatever type) under which we all live in a way that mirrors his teachings. Would be a short hand way of explaining it. i am somewhat confused by what you are saying socialism is. socialism does not work anywhere and never has. dont believe it? look at Venezuela. starvation, malnutrition, death, war, violence, anarchy... and the socialists dont give a hoot about the people. Jesus is a King, not a socalist. The King of Kings. He reigns in a kingdom. there is much difference between a kingdom type government and a socialist government. in a socialist government people love the leader because if they dont they are tortured and killed. in a kingdom people love the King when its a good king. if its a bad king the people are in mourning. there really is nothing socialist about Gods Kingdom.
socialism is a dream that sounds good until you learn what it really is, but its not good for the people/citizens and this is why Jesus does not endorse that type of government. i challenge you to look at any socialist government and see how the peoples lives were negatively effected due to that kind of rule. then look at kingdoms and see when the king was good, and merciful, and he loved the land and people how their lives were good. the difference between the two is night and day.
lastly, in a socialist government its the same for everyone, "they" say. once The King begins giving rewards, and due to our service to the Kingdom... due to our faithfulness to Him... once he starts saying you will have rule over one city, or two, or ten... it will be obvious Gods kingdom is nothing like a socialist model. socialism makes its citizens out to basically be slaves to the system... Gods way makes us all free. Liberty. we choose to serve with a willing heart and mind. not its required as the socialist model requires.
