This is a question a Christian has to answer many times. But how to answer it?
If a person asked me:
Don't you sin?
I would answer them:
“He who sins is of the devil...” - 1 John 3:8
Then the person said to me:
Are you saying I am of the devil?
Then I answered them:
“...I judge no one.” - John 8:15
“There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy.
Who are you to judge another?” - James 4:12
“And yet if I do judge, My judgment is true;
for I am not alone, but I am with the Father who sent Me.” - John 8:16
“Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience,
went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last...” - John 8:9
“...I am the light of the world.
He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” - John 8:12
Did I answer it with my own words? Not at all, all that was from the Bible.
If they were convicted they were sons of the devil then it was not me who judged them, it was the Truth itself.
“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword,
piercing even to the division of soul and spirit,
and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” - Hebrews 4:12
Conclusion:
“My son, be wise, and make my heart glad,
That I may answer him who reproaches me.” - Proverbs 27:11
“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus,
who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.” - Romans 8:1
And you: Do you sin?
“He who believes in Him is not condemned;
but he who does not believe is condemned already,
because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” - John 3:18
“While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light...” - John 12:36
“Seek the Lord while He may be found,
Call upon Him while He is near.” - Isaiah 55:6
“And it shall come to pass
That whoever calls on the name of the Lord
Shall be saved.” - Acts 2:21
“Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out,
so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord...” - Acts 3:19
“Awake to righteousness, and do not sin;
for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.” - 1 Corinthians 15:34
May the Lord bless you in Jesus' name!

an argument you may encounter with this statement is that "if we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us"
this too is not someone else's words but an answer directly from The Book. We need to be very careful these days with discussions on sin because the wolves are many. and they do pervert grace, repentance, confession, and even the Who of Jesus. They do indeed preach another gospel and they want to make you look bad and discredit your words as so they may remain in their tradition.
I have fellow-shipped with elders who are already picking out their grave site and making end of life plans. they have told me that God still shows them things they have been doing their whole life that is sin, and then they had to stop doing it. these men have a strong walk and for you to try to point to something in their life that is sin... well, finding a needle in a haystack would be an easier task. so these men did all along have sin, but until The Lord revealed the thing to them they did not know.
yes yes, we can claim its no long I who sins, but sin in me, and that I have reckoned myself dead to sin... but the natural man cannot understand this. what they really need to know is that Christ did die to pay for my sins, and Christians do still sin, but if we judge our own actions, confess it, and repent then God will forgive us and restore us. its also important to point out that there is a difference between an occasional sin, unknowingly sinning, and out right blatant and deliberate (and lets take a closer look at that word... de-LIBERATE) openly sinning as in a continuous lifestyle of sin. Once The Holy Spirit shows us something is sin... no more... Because now we know better. once we know better it does count against us.
its not others we need to convince with words we live holy by conversation... they need to be convinced by how we live(zao)
their mouth needs to be unable to speak to blame us and then they will see we do indeed have something most in the world do not. then they will see the blessings upon our lives, and how many they are. I also believe we should not be concerned as much with what others think... but more so is this right before The LORD.

an argument you may encounter with this statement is that "if we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us" No one here is saying that is without sin. Just saying that:
“...if we walk in the light as He is in the light,
we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” - 1 John 1:7
“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus,
who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.” - Romans 8:1
“...For the worshipers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins.” - Hebrews 10:2
“If we confess our sins,
He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” - 1 John 1:9
If one is going to preach the blood, do so with truth because: There is (true) power in the blood!
“...Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.
And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever.
Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” - John 8:34-36
Blessings to you in Jesus' name!

May the Lord bless you in Jesus' name! Bless you Letters. Truth is we WERE all of our father the devil, ie, our old man is. We might as well all just agree with the Adversary along the way when he accuses us, and get it over with. But in reality it usually takes a long time before we realize the truth about ourselves. Sin/iniquity is not just something we "do", it's what we "are".

Actually sin is present with us . Just ponder this dear sister . God did not create us to be SIN . Sin is present with us , yes its in our flesh . And we are WHO we follow . either one is a servant of satan , or of Christ . a servant of the flesh or of the Spirit . And we were all once of the devil . but now we are of the KING . I know our flesh nature is corrupt . And so long as we are in these bodies , earthen bodies , evil will be present . For in the flesh dwells no good thing and its contrary to the LORD . OH but let us follow the SPIRIT , Heeding its unction and grow in the grace given us in Christ . Let all who name the name of Christ depart from inquity . Let the lambs of the King obey the Great Shepard . Now we have all hope in Christ . I want all to be encouraged in that . Let us look upon Him and follow HIM . HE set the pattern and as JOHN once wrote , We follow His example . If any has a fault , let it be confessed to God . For We truly do have an advocate in the heavens and HE is faithful and just to forgive us , IF we confess . Let any who sees a brother or sister in error , always correct them . Let us hold to and keep the original pattern that JESUS first gave unto the apostels and they unto the peoples . My soul is encouraged in the LORD . And when the adversary accuses , remember that the accuser of the brethren , JESUS OVER CAME . When the accusor accuses , and woe he will try , we cling to the KING and in HIM we are blameless . Now if any does err , remember correct them asap . Do all . Our duty is to HEED HE who can keep us from falling and in all things we do and say may it honor HIM . And those who are HIS have the Spirit . HEED the SPIRIT . And test all spirits . Do so against the holy words of our Lord and savoir and the wonderful instruction of the exhortations of what those apostels wrote . We are entering into a very and highly deceptive days . Yes the deceptoin has been great for a long time , but it is greatly increased as of late . Let all stir one another up unto good works . Let all remind and stir one another up , by the very words of JESUS and all the reminders that are given us by the apostels as well . REMEMBER what peter said , He told them i will STIR up you by remembrance , even though YOU KNOW this . WE must keep stirring one another up with those reminders AND by word of knowledge , but whatever one does say and teach , must always be tested . Let the others always test what everyone does say . We test all who do speak , and that includes me and all of us . The Spirit is given to all lambs . And i promise the more us lambs do read our bibles and pray , the scrips will make us wise unto salvation through faith in Christ . Let each one be faithful to the measure of the gift they have been given . its all for the edifcation of the body . But if anything does ever contradict the scriptures , the words of Christ , and the true edifying words of the aposltes , we must not accept it . So let us all grow in grace . Let us Heed the SPIRIT and let us test always all who do speak . Be encouraged my friends . We will look out for one another and build one another up . Also i hope if me , or any of us does not understand something , we ask the person to explain . Sometimes things can be taken wrong , but also be on gaurd because often people who stand to teach , we know are false and they are all over the place . We have to look out for one another . And to clear it up , just in case anyone thinks i am saying anyone is false that is here , I did not say that . i am simply telling us all to be on gaurd because we have many false ones all over the place now . Let us remind one another with sound docrine , and pslams and let us speak by the SPIRIT . but again always test what is said and be sure it agrees with SOUND bible doctrine .

Bless you Letters....there is a mystery in that passage, like in how the Lord works in mysterious ways, so we have to dig deep. Then I did not understand.Bless you Letters, I'll try to share some insights on that. If we look at the account of Job in the bible....he was a righteous man, like we as believers have been made the righteousness of Christ and we walk righteously....and for this reason the Adversary will accuse us before the Father, who grants the devil his will to sift us as wheat....we experience trials and tribs, chastisements for the proving of our faith. In the loss of everything, Job did not curse God...however he had been trying to justify himself all through instead of agreeing with the Adversary ....notice it says that he was righteous in his own eyes instead of realizing his lack, so he got turned over to the Judge and the official to be tormented, and as it turns out, even though 'righteous', it was finally revealed to Job that there had actually still been something wanting....and the Lord mercifully and graciously met with him in that place of repentance. So this is not just about cleaning up and ceasing from outward sins, and great, we need to do that, that is foundational......but the lesson for all of us is that we would not be righteous in our own eyes because after that we still have much more to go than we may realize in growing and maturing in holiness.

The true Christian does not live in a lifestyle of sin, where they have no regard for God or His standards. They may come up short, but not because they are not trying, but because they still live in this fleshly body. The Bible is clear that there are sins done willfully and there are sins done in error. There are those who sin presumptuously and those who simply mess up. A true Christian may sin, but they do not continue in it, and when they are aware of it, they confess it and seek to turn from it, repentance.

So basically , if we are found in error , NEVER JUSTIFY that behavoir , never also see ones self as some great thing . The good we do is BY the SPIRIT . Any time we are convicted by the Spirit of a wrong we must repent of it . that and we must never see ourselves as some great thing . We must simply see and understand that it is by grace . even as paul once said , I laboured more abundantely than them all , YET NOT I BUT THE GRACE OF GOD . If we are accused by others , we rail not back , the truth is , were it not for GOD , who even here would be walking righteously by the SPIRIT . SO we must see ourselves as naught , YET BE THANKING GOD CONTINOUSLY . And be always fast to correct any in error , pointing them RIGHT back to CHRIST and the walk of HOLINESS in HIM and BY HIM . WE must not see ourselves as RIGHTEOUS in our own eyes , BY OUR OWN MEANS . NOW THAT IS SPOT ON RIGHT . WE must KNOW and understand that it is HIS SPIRIT that does work in us ONLY WE BETTER HEED the SPIRIT and not the flesh . But oh yes we must never see ourselves as righteous by our works , by our own means , OR WE IN DIRE TROUBLE . SEE the beauty that all who truly do beleive in JESUS have the SPIRIT and that it is ONLY because of this , We have even the desire and ability to do that which pleases GOD . ONLY again we better HEED the SPIRIT and beware the flesh .

He was speaking in practical terms, that it is best to come to agreement with someone taking us to court, settling out of court. That has no application here.
