How Grand the Life in Christ:
Life in Christ is precious and the joy of being called to be a witness of his mercy, grace, and love is wondrous and glorious in my heart and soul. The joy of seeing a newborn baby in swaddling clothes smiling and stretching with new life. It is glorious to see two hearts enraptured in love as they stand before the minister making vows for life. How beautiful is it to see families sitting down together for a meal and love filled fellowship. What a wonderful experience it is to raise our hands in worship at the church and hear the wonderful words of life proclaimed with anointed fervor. Life is precious and yet just a vapor to be seen for a fleeting moment then in the oldness of age the ghost is given up to eternity. Yet in this world where there is a complexity of both goodness and wickedness; we see despair and hatred in the hearts of man.
It doesn’t matter how much the wickedness of man; God is my resolve and my retreat; He is the shield that protects my heart and causes me to know serenity. Though the heathen rage and act like animals that devour the prey; God is my solitude and I am not dismayed. He has proclaimed that all things happen for the good of those who love him and are the called according to his purposes. Though my finite mind cannot grasp the reality of all that it entails; it is a comfort to know that the only true God has my being steadfast in his mind. O the love of Jesus that wells up in my soul; it is a cup of restoration amidst the multitudes where hatred flows.
We do not have a life without conflict or contention; yet the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but from the spiritual arsenal of God. Our wisdom proceeds from the Throne of the Most High and our strategies are based in our knowledge of Him that redeemed us. Therefore let us fight against human reason and beguiling philosophies; and harness the love of Christ and bind it to our words with a steadfast retribution of love toward the unenlightened soul. An apostle of our faith, Paul had conflicts entailed within his commission for the lost and suffered the violence of resistance and the brutality of hatred; but forge forward without fear of reprisal by the enemies of our God. The love of Christ inspired his action to fight the fight of faith.
(1) For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
(2) That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;
(3) In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
(4) And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words. Colossians 2:1-4 KJV
We live among the pagans; the atheists; and fictitious religious people; they are willingly ready to promote violence and override the common good; they rebel and take away the rule of law and steal at every opportune time. Declaring a righteous cause; but working evil in the midst. Where is the love they claim; where is the reason they said they portrayed. They hate while proclaiming love; they hurt others while claiming a just cause. I will say that reason from a sound mind produces reasonable results; but the divide is widened by their devices. The world is on the fast track to hell and they love it that way. God is love and he that hates his brother is not of God and perfect love casts out fear. Take heed my brethren lest you fall into the trap of rage and revenge; God is our portion turn to him.
(1) Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:
(2) And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.
(3) But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
(4) And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.
(5) And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ. 2 Thessalonians 3:1-5 KJV
The joy that I have the world didn’t give it to me and the world shouldn’t be able to take it away. I am set in my heart to experience the love, joy, peace, and righteousness of God in this imperfect world filled with imperfect people of which I am one. I am set to let God’s love perfect me as I go forward to do his work and to follow peace with all men and holiness without which we shall not see God. Life in Christ is precious; let us remember the world will always be filled with hatred and injustice; but in Christ we find life abundant and glorious! The Shepherd of our soul leads us in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake; he spreads out a table for us in the presence of our enemies; he anoints our heads with and our cups run over with gladness at the Shepherd’s touch! Blessed be the Name of the LORD! Selah
