More on sun god worship, and the 12 days of Yule
Gen 10:8-10
(8) And Cush begat
Nimrod: he began to be
a mighty one in the earth.
(9) He was a
mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.
(10) And the
beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
Many doubt this story concerning Nimrod, and here is proof:
(...However, this traditional identification of the cities built by Nimrod in Genesis is no longer accepted by modern scholars...)
They are doubting, what the bible says, yet the bible has proven itself over and over again, through archaeology, through prophecies, and so on and so on, and continues to do so.
You can 100% trust what the bible says.
And we will get into more information on this Nimrod stuff, the sun God, and what the bible says.
Now it is obvious that the sun god obviously came from somewhere?
And in many types of different peoples, there was some type of sun god worship, but was there an origin to all of this?
Well yes there was.
But before I get into this, I just want to mention a few things concerning Nimrod.
Gen 10:8-10
(8) And Cush begat
Nimrod: he began to be
a mighty one in the earth.
(9) He was
a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.
So Nimrod began to be
a mighty one in the earth, and also he was called
a mighty hunter before the Lord.
In what way was he becoming a mighty one in the earth, and also in what way was he called a mighty hunter before the Lord?
(David Guzik)(…a. Cush begot Nimrod: One son of Cush worthy of note is Nimrod. He was a mighty one on the earth, but not in a good way. He ruled over Babel, which was the first organized rebellion of humans against God. The name Nimrod itself means, “let us rebel.”
b. Like Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD: The context shows that this is not a compliment of Nimrod. The idea is that Nimrod was an offense before the face of God.…
…He was a hunter of men - a warrior. It was through his ability to fight and kill and rule ruthlessly that his kingdom of the Euphrates valley city states was consolidated.” (Boice).
ii. A Jerusalem Targum says: “He was powerful in hunting and in wickedness before the Lord, for he was a hunter of the sons of men, and he said to them, ‘Depart from the judgment of the Lord, and adhere to the judgment of Nimrod!’ Therefore it is said: ‘As Nimrod the strong one, strong in hunting, and in wickedness before the Lord.’ “…)I have read certain articles, to were Nimrod may have also been a hunter of beasts, and may have gained favor among some people in that regard, but the statement itself, in the bible, about Nimrod being a mighty hunter before the Lord, does not refer to him being a hunter of beast, but rather him being a hunter of men, and he was full of rebellion and wickedness.
In fact the name Nimrod itself, means “
let us rebel”.
And Nimrod was a conqueror of the people, and had actually formed a
kingdom:
Gen 10:10
(10) And the beginning of
his kingdom was
Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
So Nimrod had formed some type of empire.
(John Gill)
(…even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the Lord. This was a proverb used in the times of Moses, as it is common now with us to call a hunter Nimrod.…)Now it is said, that the first 5 books of the bible was written by Moses, and during the time of Moses, which Nimrod was long gone by this time, this true biblical saying, had become as a proverb during Moses’ time, so it was known that Nimrod was a mighty hunter before the Lord, a wicked one of course,
a conqueror of the people.
Now let us get into a bit of history, concerning Nimrod, and his Babylonian religion, and how things came about.
(Smith’s Bible Dictionary)
(…Ba'bel. (confusion). Bab'ylon, (Greek form of Babel), is properly the capital city of the country, which is called in Genesis, Shinar, and in the later books, Chaldea, or the land of the Chaldeans.…)Now the bible says that the beginning of Nimrod’s kingdom was Babel, and so forth.
Babel means:
confusion , but the Greek form of Babel is
Babylon.
And within Nimrod’s Kingdom, he had also formed a religion.
And we will get into some history concerning this in a bit, but first let us get to scriptures that talk about the tower of Babel.
Gen 11:1-9
(1) And the whole earth
was of one language, and of
one speech.
(2) And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a
plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.
(3) And they said one to another,
Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.
(4) And they said, Go to,
let us build us a city and a tower, whose
top may reach unto heaven; and let us
make us a name, lest we be
scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
(5) And the LORD came down to
see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.
(6) And the LORD said, Behold,
the people is one, and they have all
one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
(7) Go to, let us go down, and there
confound their language, that they
may not understand one another's speech.
(8) So the LORD
scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they
left off to build the city.
(9) Therefore is the name of it called
Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD
scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.
Very, very interesting stuff being said here.
And it says that they were all of one language, and it seems that many at the time, were in agreement with the
building of the tower, and the building of the city.
And there is no doubt that Nimrod had a say in the building of the city (Babel), and the building of the tower, because the bible also says this:
Gen 10:10
(10) And the beginning of
his kingdom was
Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
The beginning of Nimrod’s kingdom was Babel, and so on.
So he founded Babel, so no doubt he commissioned the building of its city, and also of the tower.
This tower was being built so that its top could reach heaven, which shows there was a religious aspect to it.
Some even say that there may have been some type of worship of the stars or Zodiac.
But nevertheless they were trying to reach heaven in their minds.
So it was not just the tower being built here, but it was also the city being built.
No doubt by this time, Nimrod had a following of some kind, and eventually what he had established, became a kingdom, starting with Babel, and so on.
And I do not know how many years it took to build this city, and how long they were into the building of the tower, which could have been many, many years, but whatever the case, at some point, God came and seen what men were doing, and he confounded their language.
Gen 11:3-4
(3) And they said one to another,
Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.
(4) And they said, Go to, let us
build us a city and a tower, whose
top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be
scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
And it says here “
they”
(plural),
said one to another, so even though Nimrod may have commissioned the building of a city and tower, it seems that he had a following of a certain amount of people which were in some cases very much like minded to him, and they wanted to make a name for themselves, something to be known by, and by this point Nimrod may have conquered some people already, and now he was establishing it into a kingdom.
Here is a bit of history:
(…Babylon was established by Nimrod, who was a mighty hunter and ruler on the Earth. He was the son of Cush, and his grandfather was Noah’s son Ham. Noah was Nimrod’s great grandfather.
Hebrew sources claim that Nimrod was a hunter of souls where he gathered men onto the plains of Shinar. Ancient scribes have also endorsed the idea that Nimrod was the world’s first conqueror. He supposedly had vast armies at his disposal, and when he began to enslave men for his kingdom, he decided to have them build a tower to the heavens. The Bible states that the people of the world all spoke one language during the time of Nimrod. Many of these people began to gather into Shinar on their own even though Nimrod still continued to gather souls and slaves for the kingdom.…
…Nimrod’s name means “rebel” or “to rebel” and Hebrew scholars states that he lived his life in total defiance to the Lord. This ancient ruler hated God, and he wanted a man to be greater than the true Lord of Heaven. He preached rebellion and unbelief toward God and he taught (or forced) the people to follow his example.…
…After the tower project was stopped the remaining people called the area “Babel” because the people sounded like they were babbling after God confused their language. This incident is historically recorded in many cultures in the Middle East and other parts of the world.…)
So Nimrod had many people who were following him, some by force, and possibly even some willingly, who were of the same mindset, who wanted a name for themselves, and so on.
So no doubt, among some of them, there would have been some willing, faithful followers, towards Nimrod and his rebellion.
And concerning the tower of babel, some say it may have been “
like a building” to some degree, and some say it may have been “
pyramid like”, and bigger than what one may think.
But whatever the case, they were building it to try to reach heaven.
Now let us get back to scripture:
Gen 10:10
(10) And the beginning of
his kingdom was
Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
Gen 11:5-9
Now concerning Babel, Nimrod was the founder of it, for it was the beginning of his kingdom, yet the city did not get its name right away,
but rather it got its name, after God confounded their language.
And after their language was confounded, they left off building the city, so they stopped building the city.
Gen 11:2
(2) And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar;
and they dwelt there.
When they first came to this certain plain in the land of Shinar, there was no city there, but they decided to build a city, with the commission of Nimrod, which it was part of his kingdom.
But other places, which became part of his kingdom, were:
Erech, Accad, and Calneh.
Here is a bit of info on this stuff:
(International Standard Bible Encyclopedia )
(…He established his kingdom “in the land of Shinar,” including the cities “Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh” (Gen_10:10), of which only Babel, or Babylon, and Erech, or Uruk, have been identified with certainty. …)
(John Gill)
(…And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel,....
…Erech, and Accad, and Calneh in the land of Shinar, where the city and tower of Babel were built: for of these four cities, which were all in the same country, did the kingdom of Nimrod consist; they all, either by force or by consent, were brought into subjection to him, and were under one form of government, and is the first kingdom known to be set up in the world.…)
All these were the beginning of his kingdom, so it is very, likely possible, that as Babel was being built, he came into these other parts of the land of Shinar, and there may have already been people there and cities, but he would have conquered them, and in some form established
Erech, Accad, and Calneh.
It may be that the names of these cities were already established, but Nimrod just took them over, or Nimrod could have renamed them, but
concerning Babel, it is evident that there was no city there, and Nimrod commissioned the building of one.
And who knows how long they were in the building of the city of Babel, and the tower of Babel?
Could it have been 20 years, maybe 30, give or take? Who knows but it could have been this long, especially when we consider other things.
In the bible it says this:
Gen 11:5
(5) And the LORD came down to
see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.
So they were already in the building process when God came to see the city and the tower, and obviously God knew they were already doing so, but something must have prodded God, in order to come and see this city and tower at this exact time?
Well what was going on here?
Well we will have to get into a bit of history, but also bible scriptures, so to see what had happened, especially what happened after Babel, and just before Babel, so to see how a certain religion was formed, and how this certain religion spread, through many different peoples, of different languages.
Something had to of been established, in order for it to spread, even before God confounded the languages.
And I read many different things concerning Nimrod, via articles, which some were said to be legends, such as Gilgamesh, and there is this story about this Ninus, which some associate this Ninus and Gilgamesh with Nimrod, but it seems to me that in some of the legends, there may be some truths mixed in with some exaggerations, and non-truths.
To me it seems that
Satan intentionally tried to camouflage the ancient Babylonian religion’s roots, which was founded by Nimrod and Semiramis.
Satan did so to bring in confusion, even for the eventual sake of hiding its connection to the eventual emergence of the Roman Catholic Church.
Many so called scholars today are even doubting the story of Nimrod, and even of
this religion that was brought forth through Semiramis, who became a goddess and the Queen of heaven, and Nimrod becoming the sun god, and how when Semiramis gave birth to Tammuz, she proclaimed him as the sun god, and that it was Nimrod reincarnated.
What we see in history, is that many peoples had adopted similar like religions among their people, so the roots obviously came from somewhere, it did not just pop up by accident.
So right now, I will mention some things concerning Semiramis and Nimrod.
(http://mystery-babylon.org/originsofbabylontwo.html)(…Noah's son Shem, decided to do something about it.According to tradition, Shem gathered 72 co-conspirators to help him, and some made their way up to the palace where Nimrod lived. After catching him in a double-cross, Shem killed Nimrod; and cut his body into little pieces! He alerted his co-conspirators - each one of them - to take a piece of Nimrod's body and distribute it to all the cities under his rule. They did as they were told. But, all of this gore had a purpose, however: to show the
world, proof-positively, that Nimrod wasn't a god. It was Shem's warning to all of Nimrod's new followers: stop what they were doing and start
obeying God, or else![2]Nimrod's followers did become very frightened. They worshipped him as a god - a god of whom they thought would live forever. Now, he was dead; the validity of their newfound religion was in question….…The way they maintained their power would be accomplished, in part, by another up-and-coming character: a woman.…)(https://www.thetrumpet.com/14011-scientist-astronomer-mathematician-and-father-of-nations)(…As Nimrod and Semiramis expanded their kingdom, they ran into opposition from Noah’s son Shem. An ancient tradition relates that the apostates who joined in the rebellion of Nimrod made war against Shem and his followers. Shem is said to have obtained the aid of 72 Egyptian noblemen to overcome Nimrod. After Shem killed Nimrod, he had his body cut into pieces, and the pieces sent to various areas as a warning against idolatry (Alexander Hislop, The Two Babylons).…)I had read a few different versions of what some say happened to Nimrod, which one version says that Essau killed Nimrod, and then there are other versions of his death, but the one that makes most sense to me, and that I bear witness with the most, is the Shem version.
And I have a few reasons for this.
Gen 9:26
(26) And he said,
Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
It says of Shem here, how it calls the God of the bible,
Shem’s God, which shows that Shem was a godly man.
Shem had a reason to be righteously angry at Nimrod.
And I do not doubt that
he did exact a type of righteous judgment on Nimrod, within Old Testament times.
And this Shem story seems to fit the best of all the stories, because of how things progressed, and of how Nimrod’s religion spread.
And we will see more details about this Semiramis/Nimrod religion.
Now the version that mentions Nimrod having wars with Abraham, and eventually Nimrod being killed by Esau, does not fit at all within how things actually occurred, and in the bible we hear nothing about Abraham having great wars with Nimrod.
I believe that Nimrod was long gone by the time Abraham came on the scene, as we will see.
Now here is a bit of history:
(…Much of today’s cults come from the evil of Nimrod. This was the first attempt at a “new world order” and “one world religion”, centered around the worship of Nimrod in Babel. It is said that Shem, Nimrod’s great uncle, killed Nimrod, and scattered his remains across the land….
…The priests of Nimrod proclaimed that Nimrod became the Sun, in order in continued his worship. When his wife became pregnant …, she proclaimed that she was made pregnant by the “rays of the Sun”, which was supposedly her husband. It is about this time (?) that God stopped the building of the tower, and scattered mankind (and the continents) accross the Earth.
The widow of Nimrod, named Semiramis, named her (illegitimate) son Tammuz, when he was born, supposedly on December 25th, as were the other “sun gods”. When Tammuz was killed by a wild boar on his 40th birthday, the “forty days of weeping” was instituted,…
...When Semiramis died, the priests of Nimrod proclaimed that “the queen of heaven” came back to earth, landed in the Euphrates River, and changed a bird into an egg laying rabbit to prove her divinity….
…About 150 years later, (?) Abram was born in Ur of the Chaldees.…)
Now concerning these things that are mentioned in parentheses,
(?) they had mentioned dates that were pretty off of a true biblical timeline, but what I will mention next, is information that shows more of an accurate biblical timeline:
(…According to Bishop Ussher’s 17th-century chronology Abraham lived from about 1996 BC to 1821 BC.…)
(…Tower of Babel: 2246 BC, Abraham: 1996 BC …)
1996 BC here, refers to the time of
Abraham’s birth, and concerning
the tower of Babel ceasing construction, a fairly decent, accurate date, is that it occurred around
2246 BC.
Those websites via timeline, tend to follow more of a biblical timeline.
So now that we have shown this, it is mentioned in the article from news24.com, that about the time that Semiramis became pregnant, and proclaimed that she was made pregnant by the rays of the sun, which was supposedly her husband
(Nimrod, that is Nimrod after his death appearing as the rays of the sun), that about this time, was when God stopped the building of the tower.
And then later in this article, it mentions that at about the time of
Semiramis’ death, that 150 years later, was when Abraham was born.
So let us do a little bit of calculation.
So concerning the time which is called BC, the closer we get to the beginning, the bigger the number, such as the time of the creation of man is said to be
4004 BC.
So if Abraham was born in
1996 BC, and Semiramis’ death occurred
150 years before, that would mean that Semiramis’ death took place at about
2146 BC, which you add
1996 with
150.
But if you go from the time of the
tower of Babel, which happened in
2246 BC, that would mean that Semiramis’ death took place
100 years later which also brings us to the year
2146 BC of course.
Which that would mean that Semiramis would have reigned for about
100 years, before her death.
And in general, people did live longer back then, but this date may have been gotten through this certain story that proclaims that Semiramis reigned as queen for
102 years, but in reading this particular story, to me, in what it says, does not make much sense, but another account that I read, says that Semiramis reigned for about
42 years, and it may be that this account is the truth or at least closer to the truth.
So if that is the truth, which seems to more fit, then let us do our calculation again.
And it appears that Nimrod died before the time that God stopped the building of the tower and city, which after his death would have been the time Semiramis would have started her own reign.
And as we will see, some put the end of building of the tower at the time Semiramis got pregnant with Tammuz, but others put it at about the time she gave birth to Tammuz, so it is possible that she at least reigned a year, before the tower’s, and city’s construction ceased.
So now let us go unto our
rough calculation.
So from
the Tower of babel ceasing, which his set to about
2246 BC, if you minus
42 years
from there, then the calculation would be
2246-42, which equals:
2204.
So the
42 years brings us to
2204 BC, which is the amount of years she reigned.
But if you start from the
birth of Abraham, which is
1996 BC, and want to know how many years pass, between Semiramis’ death to Abraham’s birth, within a
42 years reign, then you have to do
2204-208, which equals
1996.
So Abraham would have been born give or take,
208 years after the end of the reign of Semiramis.
This view seems the most accurate.
And concerning Nimrod how long did he reign? I am not entirely sure, but he could have started reigning as a type of king,
even before he founded his kingdom, and during the time of the building of the Babel city and tower, it could have lasted for even 30 some odd years, give or take, and then sometime after his reign, and the beginning of the reign of Semiramis, God caused the building to cease, and confounded the languages.
One thing I do know is that it does not call Nimrod a mighty hunter for no reason; he was not a small hunter of souls but a mighty hunter of souls.
So now we will get into a bit more history:
(https://biblepaedia.wordpress.com/2012/06/08/nimrod-part-17-the-transit-of-venus-and-the-queen-of-heaven/)(…The series explains (among other very important things) how both Nimrod and Semiramis (along with her illegitimate son) were deified, and that once the peoples of that time were dispersed after the fall of Babylon, they naturally took their god’s and goddesses along with them, which over time became different names.……“…Hislop believed that Semiramis was a consort of Nimrod, builder of the Bible’s Tower of Babel, though Biblical mention of consorts to Nimrod is lacking. According to Hislop, Semiramis invents polytheism in an effort to corrupt her subjects’ original faith in the God of Genesis. She deified herself as Ishtar…”…)(https://truerichesradio.com/who-is-semiramis/)(…According to various legends, Semiramis became pregnant after engaging in an adulterous affair while married to Nimrod. Around this same time, Nimrod dies a violent and untimely death. In an effort to retain power and to hide her misdeeds, Semiramis makes a most audacious claim. She publicly declares that upon Nimrod’s death he had been resurrected as the god of the sun. As the sun-god, Nimrod used his sun rays to miraculously inseminate Semiramis with a child. This child was thus considered to be divinely conceived. The child’s name was Tammuz, which she claimed was the reincarnated Nimrod. (Thus, Semiramis was both Nimrod’s wife and mother.)After the scattering that occurs at the Tower of Babel, this story of the miraculous conception of this child disseminated throughout the world and led to the rise of the various birth-death-rebirth cults that are littered through history.…)(http://doctorwoodhead.com/nimrod-the-founder-of-the-occult-and-babylon/)(…Even though Semiramis claimed to be a virgin she had another son, named Tammuz, who she said was the reincarnation of Nimrod. She became known as the “Virgin Mother”, “Holy Mother” and the “Queen of Heaven” and was symbolized by the Moon. So began the worship of Semiramis and the child-god, and the whole paraphernalia of the Babylonian religious system. From various ancient sources, it seems that Nimrod’s wife/mother; Semiramis was high priestess of the Babel religion and the founder of all mystery religions as well as goddess. After the tower was destroyed and the multiplicity of languages developed, she was worshiped as a goddess under many different names. She became Ishtar of Syria, Astarte of Phoenicia, Isis of Egypt, Aphrodite of Greece, and Venus of Rome—in each case the deity of sexual love and fertility. Her son Tammuz also came to be deified under various names and was the consort of Ishtar and god of the underworld.,…)So it seems that there are some claims that the tower of Babel ceasing may of happened after she got pregnant with Tammuz, and proclaimed the things she said, but in in other cases, they seem to point to
when she actually gave birth to Tammuz, and
fully established the Babylonian religion, which according to what followed, after the confounding of the languages, and how that this same type of religion spread among people’s who were now speaking a different language, but now named their gods according to their languages, it seems that the truth fits more with the tower of Babel ceasing, after the birth of Tammuz, and the religion being fully established.
I think that the
height of wickedness that Semiramis brought this religion up to, finally provoked God to come and see the tower and city, and proclaim judgment upon the people by confounding their language, so they could not understand each other.
And it caused them to stop building the city and tower.
It says of Semiramis that after Nimrod’s death she deified her husband and herself as gods, and also she deified her son Tammuz as a god, at his birth, saying that it was Nimrod (or the sun god, as he was known) reincarnated.
And she, when she was alive, called herself
the goddess Ishtar.
And you ever notice that you do not hear very much in history of people worshipping the goddess Semiramis, and there is a reason for this, because as a goddess, she did not go by this name, but rather by Ishtar.
And concerning the 42 years reign, the more I read about this stuff, the more I bear witness with this, and here is another reason why I think this 42 year reign thing fits:
(https://www.news24.com/news24/mynews24/the-truth-of-genesis-the-sad-truth-of-christianity-and-judaism-the-first-middle-20141125)(…The widow of Nimrod, named Semiramis, named her (illegitimate) son Tammuz, when he was born, supposedly on December 25th, as were the other “sun gods”. When Tammuz was killed by a wild boar on his 40th birthday, the “forty days of weeping” was instituted, ……When Semiramis died, the priests of Nimrod proclaimed that “the queen of heaven” came back to earth, landed in the Euphrates River, and changed a bird into an egg laying rabbit to prove her divinity. ….)
(https://thetruthersjournal.home.blog/2020/02/20/the-babylonian-origins-of-easter-ishtar/)(…Shem who was one of Noah’s three sons and the great uncle of Nimrod, in his anger and wrath killed Nimrod and cut him up into small pieces as an example to others not to commit such abominable sins and not to follow such evil religious practices. (Shem was a holy man and it was through his seed the Messiah would come.)Semiramis had all of the parts gathered, except for one part that could not be found. That missing part was his reproductive organ. Semiramis claimed that Nimrod could not come back to life without it and told the people of Babylon that Nimrod had ascended to the sun and was now to be called “Baal“, the sun god….…She further claimed that she came down from the moon in a giant moon egg that fell into the Euphrates River.……Ishtar soon became pregnant and claimed that it was the rays of the sun-god Baal that caused her to conceive. The son that she brought forth was named Tammuz.Tammuz was noted to be especially fond of rabbits, and they became sacred in the ancient religion……The day came when Tammuz was killed by a wild pig.……The queen told the worshippers that when Tammuz was killed by the wild pig, some of his blood fell on the stump of an evergreen tree, and the stump grew into a full new tree overnight. This made the evergreen tree sacred by the blood of Tammuz. She also proclaimed a forty day period of time of sorrow each year prior to the anniversary of the death of Tammuz.During this time, no meat was to be eaten. 40 days weeping for Tammuz. (Lent)……Every year, on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox, a celebration was made.
It was Ishtar´s Sunday and was celebrated with rabbits and eggs.Ishtar also proclaimed that because Tammuz was killed by a pig, that a pig must be eaten on that Sunday.…)It says that Tammuz was killed by a wild boar on his
40th birthday, and
this certain feast of 40 days of weeping, seemed to be instituted not long after
Tammuz’s death, no doubt by his
grieving mother.
And when Semiriamis was alive she proclaimed that
she came down from the moon in a giant moon egg that fell into the Euphrates River, But when Semiramis got off the scene and died, it seemed that the priests of Nimrod proclaimed that
“the queen of heaven” came back to earth, landed in the Euphrates River, and
changed a bird into an egg laying rabbit to prove her divinity, so there are 2 accounts proclaiming something about Semiramis and the Euphrates river, one proclaimed by her when she was alive, and the other proclaimed by priests of Nimrod.
Now when she was alive she was already known as the Queen of heaven, and when she was alive, she also instituted this celebration that was celebrated on the first Sunday after the first full moon
after the spring equinox.
And this festival became known as
Easter, which was celebrated with the eating of Ham, because Tammuz was killed by a pig, but concerning the
40 days celebration you could not eat meat during those days.
And notice that concerning the feast of Easter, they did not eat lamb, but
ham concerning this feast.
Many cults of the day, many times, would do a pig sacrifice, which in Old Testament times, God asked for a sacrificial Lamb.
So now let us think about this for a second,
if Semiramis slept with another man, while Nimrod was alive, but Nimrod at this time, was close to the time of his death through being killed by Shem, and this was nearing the time of the ceasing of Babel, then it is possible that she could have gave birth to Tammuz,
the same year of Nimrod’s death, and after she gave birth to Tammuz, she could have fully established the Babylonian religion and cement her legacy which could of happened for a few months, so it is possible
that Semiramis, did reign for 1 year before God confounded the languages (cementing her religion), and then 40 years later her son died, and sometime in the 42th year,
Semiramis died.
The timeline actually fits very well with her reigning 42 years with this version, even perfectly well.
So now we will get into more history stuff:
(https://findinghopeministries.org/nimrod-the-mystery-religion-of-babylon/)(…After human dispersion at the Tower of Babel, worship of the fertility goddess and mother/son duo continued across the ancient world, but the names changed in different locations – due, of course to the different languages. Inanna (Semiramis) was known as Ishtar in Babylon, Isis in Egypt and the son/husband was Osiris – the sun god. There is an inscription engraved in an Egyptian temple of Isis that reads: “I am all that has been, or that is, or that shall be. No mortal has removed my veil. The fruit which I have brought forth is the sun.”[iv] The sun was Osiris – deified Nimrod.…)(https://endrtimes.blogspot.com/2009/08/semiramis-queen-of-heaven-mother-of-god.html)(…Madonna and Child"Nimrod and his mother (Semiramis)became the chief entities of worship as a Madonna and child. This belief and practice spread to Egypt, where the names of the gods were Isis and Osiris. The son Osiris was born December 25. In Asia it was Cybele and Deonius. In Rome they were called Fortuna and Jupiter. Throughout the world we still find the remnants of mother and child worship to this day.…)So we can see that, similar type religious activity arose among other people, such as the Egyptians which had Isis and Osiris, the Asians which had Cybele and Deonis, and Rome having Fortuna and Jupiter.
It makes perfect sense that if this Babylonian religion was established, which it was, and all spoke one language, and
many had adopted this religion, that if their languages were confounded, that they would have retained their religion, but associate names that are in their language, with these gods.
And evidence is, is that is exactly what has happened.
Different peoples may have added different spins to it, but it all originated from somewhere.
And it makes perfect sense to call Roman Catholicism mystery Babylon the great, the mother of harlots, since it is very much identical to the ancient Babylonian religion.
And also it makes sense to call this Babylonian system a woman, which there was the worship of a woman, under this Babylonian religious system, and
there is the worship of a woman under Roman Catholicism.
Now here is just a bit more info, and then we will get into what the scriptures say:
(contendingfortruth.com)(…When Nimrod died, and was made the sun god, Semiramis then had an illegitimate son called Tammuz, who she claimed to be the son of Nimrod. She said that he was the "promised seed of the woman," (Genesis 3:15) and demanded that both her and Tammuz be worshipped. He became symbolized by the golden calf. She became known as the "queen of heaven," and was the prototype from which all other pagan goddesses came.……According to Babylonian tradition, when Tammuz was killed, his mother cried so much, that he came back to life. The manifestation of this was the rebirth and blooming of all vegetation in the Spring, which came to symbolize his resurrection, and why Tammuz is honored in the Spring.…)(https://michaelruark.blog/2014/04/18/ishtar/)(…“Ishtar”, which is pronounced “Easter” was a day that commemorated the resurrection of one of their gods that they called “Tammuz”, who was believed to be the only begotten son of the moon-goddess and the sun-god.…)So concerning
Easter, it was a day to eat ham but also it was a day to commemorate the
so called resurrection of Tammuz, which they say the manifestation was the rebirth and blooming of all vegetation in the spring.
So here I just wanted to clarify a few things concerning Easter.
So in this study, we can see that Semiramis proclaimed Nimrod as being Baal, after his death, which here is proof:
(…That missing part was his reproductive organ. Semiramis claimed that Nimrod could not come back to life without it and told the people of Babylon that Nimrod had ascended to the sun and was now to be called “Baal“, the sun god….)And biblically or otherwise, there is no good evidence that the god Baal was formed through Balaam.
In fact before the time of the confounding of the languages, is when she proclaimed Nimrod as Baal.
And I had read how that the Canaanites main god was Baal, so it seems that they retained the name of Baal somehow, but many other nations had their own names.
And here is evidence of Baal in the bible:
Num 22:41
(41) And it came to pass on the morrow,
that Balak took Balaam, and
brought him up into the high places of Baal, that thence he might see the utmost part of the people.
In Balaam’s time high places of Baal were already established.
Jdg 2:12-13
(12) And they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt,
and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the LORD to anger.
(13) And they forsook the LORD, and served
Baal and Ashtaroth.
So Israel at an early time was being influenced by the nations, and here it mentions them serving
Baal and Ashtaroth.
I know that even when Semiramis was alive and gave birth to Tammuz, that she was already known as Ishtar, and Nimrod as Baal.
But also it seems that there was even further influence upon their names, which here is some info on this:
(…Nimrod was born in what is now Ethiopia.
According to tradition, Nimrod set out to establish himself an empire …
…After their deaths, Nimrod and his wife Semiramis (the ancient "queen of heaven") were confirmed by their priests as gods and given homage as Marduk and Astarte. …)
(International Standard Bible Encyclopedia)
(…Nimrod has not been identified with any mythical hero or historic king of the inscriptions. Some have sought identification with Gilgamesh, the flood hero of Babylonia (Skinner, Driver, Delitzsch); others with a later Kassite king (Haupt, Hilprecht), which is quite unlikely; but the most admissible correspondence is with Marduk, chief god of Babylon, probably its historic founder, …)
It seems that after the deaths of Semiramis, and Nimrod, their priests confirmed them as gods and given them homage as
Marduk and Astarte.
They were already considered gods, but after the death of Semiramis, they were given as confirmation that they were gods, but being given homage as Marduk and Astarte.
And there seems to be a connection between the names Astarte, Ishtar and Ashtoreth.
(…Ish•tar
(ˈɪʃ tɑr)
n.
the Assyrian and Babylonian goddess of love and war, identified with the Phoenician Astarte and the Semitic Ashtoreth. …)
So Semiramis was Ishtar, and became Astarte after her death, which the Semetic version of Astarte is Ashtoreth.
But all these names are associated with Semiramis.
When the Tower of Babel ceased, Semiramis was already known as Ishtar, and her religion spread throughout the people who had gotten different languages at the Tower of Babel, and these different people’s formed different nations.
But other things that spread, even 40 years or so after Babel, were things like Easter, the 40 days of weeping, and Astarte, and Astoreth worship.
Semiramis’ worship was already spreading at the time of Babel, but mainly through the name it seems Ishtar, but many nations formed names that were more in line with their now present languages, and also Baal worship was also spreading at this time, which the Canaanites seem to retain that name.
After the death of Semiramis, their priests paid homage to Nimrod and Semiramis, as Marduk and Astarte.
Now here is information on the word Marduk:
(…Marduk—also know as Bel or Sanda…)
So the god Marduk was also known as Bel.
The bible confirms the Babylonian god Bel, in this next scripture:
Jer 50:2
(2) Declare ye among the nations, and publish, and set up a standard; publish, and conceal not: say,
Babylon is taken,
Bel is confounded, Merodach is broken in pieces; her idols are confounded, her images are broken in pieces.
Also it confirms the goddess Ashtoreth.
1Ki 11:5
(5) For
Solomon went after
Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.
It seems that the Zidonians had received Ashtoreth as their goddess, and Solomon was influenced by the Zidonians concerning this goddess.
The bible even mentions Tammuz:
Eze 8:14
(14) Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD'S house which was toward the north; and, behold,
there sat women weeping for Tammuz.
Some mention this weeping in connection to the 40 days of weeping for the Tammuz festival.
And then we also see evidence of sun god worship in the bible:
Eze 8:16
(16) And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD'S house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and
they worshipped the sun toward the east.
Israel was being influenced by sun god worship.
Also we see one of Semiramis’ titles, in the bible, which is the “Queen of heaven”.
Jer 7:17-18
(17)
Seest thou not what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?
(18) The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough,
to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.
So even the title of “
Queen of heaven” is there.
There are many reasons why this Semiramis story is being called a myth, and one of those reasons is so people cannot connect Roman Catholicism, with the ancient Babylonian religion.
Yes there may have been many stories to were truths, myths, and lies were mixed in together, but that does not mean it did not happen.
And biblically speaking, it all fits, in how things actually occurred, and how that this religion spread throughout the world.
Rev 17:5
(5) And upon her forehead was a name written,
MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Rev 17:15
(15) And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where
the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
The bible calls this woman an whore, and also mystery Babylon the Great, and the Babylonian religion worshipped a woman, and Roman Catholicism worships a woman, both religions are identical, and both were committing spiritual whoredom.
Many want to bring people to think that the Semiramis story never was true, so that Catholicism cannot be associated to it, so they come up with other theories such as the whore being the U.S., and the whore being the Muslims.
It is done so people get theirs eyes off of what the whore is doing, yet we know that Catholicism is spiritually whoring around with the kings of the earth, and also she is in charge of the one world religion and this ecumenical movement.
People need to keep their eyes on Jesus, and be willing to give up their idols.
Now I was going to mention the 12 days of Yule, but I think I will leave it alone in this post.
In my next post there will also be very interesting things mentioned, and it concerns the calendar, and it is said that Tammuz’s birthday was on December 25th, and I am not saying that there is absolutely no substance to this, in any way, or in a roundabout way, but during the time of the Babylonian religion, the Roman calendar did not exist, and the Babylonians would have went with the Babylonian calendar.
God bless.
