My life has changed a lot recently and I am busier than usual.
If you do not know, I currently attend a church (and yes, they are in the truth).
I am a member there since October 2017 (about one year after being saved).
And I believe the Lord put me there (He makes things happen in a powerful way).
❝Indeed before the day was, I am He;
And there is no one who can deliver out of My hand;
I work, and who will reverse it?❞ - Isaiah 43:13
❝A man’s steps are of the Lord;
How then can a man understand his own way?❞ - Proverbs 20:24
❝...as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand...❞ - Jeremiah 18:6
❝Does not the potter have power over the clay,
from the same lump to make one vessel for honor and another for dishonor?❞ - Romans 9:21
❝...and be clothed with humility, for
“God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble.”❞ - 1 Peter 5:5
And I started helping there as you may already know. I am seeing it as a great opportunity to grow as a Christian and to learn.
And I am actually being challenged with some things, especially in what concerns my difficulties (just as to pray aloud, social interactions, etc).
Well, I do not tell people about these problems there.
And recently I have been challenged to do exactly what I do not do: Praying aloud and in group.
OK, it was not the first time it happened. But today I liked it.
I was chosen to pray in the group and I thought:
OK. I was expecting this to happen again. Now I have two choices:
Accept the challenge, pray and be blessed.
❝For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance;
but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.❞ - Matthew 13:12
Or simply to pass the chance to another (because of fear, etc [may the Lord have mercy]).
❝...O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you?...❞ - Mark 9:19
I chose to accept it with a willing heart and then I started praying...
And I was glad I did it, it was like an obstacle was broken and I felt very well.
There are things to improve, obviously. But I am making progress day by day, thanks to God!
My friend, this is amazing... Considering I do not pray aloud (not even alone), it is a huge blessing to me to be able to overcome these challenges.
I know there are harder challenges to face, but I believe a Christian life without challenges is not something we should be comfortable with.
The flesh has to be killed day by day. It is hard at the start, but you know...
❝For if you live according to the flesh you will die;
but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.❞ - Romans 8:13
We have nothing to lose if we try.
❝For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.❞ - Romans 8:2
Thank you, Lord Jesus!
