We believe in one God in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." 1 John 5:7
We believe that Jesus Christ is not only the Son of God, but Jesus Christ is God, and he has existed eternally. "Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am." John 8:58 "IN the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made." John 1:1-3
We believe that faith in Jesus Christ is the only way to be saved. "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." Acts 4:12 "VERILY, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep." John 10:1,2 "Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture." John 1:9,10
While we believe that salvation is the result of placing our faith in Jesus Christ, we also recognize that we must continue following him. It is not enough just to enter the race, but we must complete it. Christians are not to continue in sin after getting saved, but they are made new creatures in Christ Jesus, and to return to a life of sin and unbelief is to jeopardize our eternal soul. "For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire." 2 Peter 2:20-22 "For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins. But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses. Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye , shall be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?" Hebrews 10:26-29 "WHAT shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?" Romans 6:1,2 "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins, and in him is no sin. Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin: for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother." 1 John 3:4-10
We stand in opposition to all occult and new age practices.
We believe that the 66 books of the Protestant Biblical canon and their contents are the inerrant Word of God. "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." 2 Timothy 3:16,17 We have full confidence in the reliability of the Authorized King James Version Bible, and believe that everything in the Authorized King James Version Bible is absolute truth. That includes passages that are under attack like Mark 16:9-20 and 1 John 5:7. We hold to a literal view of the Bible.
We believe that if the Bible says something is right, it is right, and if the Bible says something is wrong it is wrong. That includes holding to a Biblical order in the church, the home and pertaining to governments. God is the same yesterday, today and forever. While God used human beings to write his Word, we believe they wrote under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost, and everything written in the Holy Bible is God's words, not simply the words of men like Paul, Peter, James, John, etc.
