Hello all, so I have a question and I would like to see what you think according to Scripture, what the difference is, if there is any between the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Heaven? Thanks in advance!

Thanks in advance! I agree with frienduff......I've also heard some trying to teach that they are two different things, but just don't see that in scripture. God's kingdom IS the kingdom of heaven.....He only has one kingdom. "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven". Jesus did not make any distinction between the two.....and it is very common in the bible to use more than one phrase or name to describe the same thing.

the old timey hebrews called the temple heaven and earth as a nickname.
best i can find in scripture is there are three heavens. one is the sky, two is outer space, and three is where God's city is.
if The Kingdom of heaven is not Gods... then he is not God. If Gods kingdom, which would include His throne, is not in the highest heaven... He would not be The Most High.
The people who push the teaching that the two are different... they have some very bizarre teachings. one of which i confronted on the other forum, you know the one... she had quoted scripture once that i looked up and it was not at all what the bible said(on another subject) watch out what those people are saying.

Yes, thanks guys! Only in the Book of Matthew, it is called Kingdom of Heaven, but if you put it together with the other gospels, it is called the Kingdom of God. Just was curious as to what you all thought. Also, I believe that the Kingdom of God is in us, that is the mystery. That Christ dwells in us! Praise the Lord!

Sometimes when i pray i begin with... "My KING".... and our KING is omnipresent, everywhere all the time. The kingdom has come. Yes our God is lofty... but He Is here right now.

And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
(That is one way we will know the antichrist kingdom, because it is external and of the world...political or mixing church and state so to speak.) Mat 24:23-24
Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Colossians 1:26-27 King James Version
26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:\o/ Praise the Lord, amen sister! And something that goes along with that as well, it's so amazing to think that who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him! (1 Cor. 6:17)

It is nice to see that all are pretty much in agreement, and I agree as well that there is no difference. As a matter of fact, in Ephesians 5:5, it is referred to as "the kingdom of Christ and of God." There is no difference there either. It is all one Kingdom.

Yes it is my friend . Yes it is . There was a man who appeared at the kingdom o GOD , and HE wasnt wearing the white clothes , and he was booted out and cast out into outer darkness . No JESUS , NO KINGDOM . hearers only , NO KINGDOM . Either we LOVE JESUS or we decieve ourselves . And a person who obeys not , is a hearer only , KNOWS HIM NOT , LOVES HIM NOT and has decieved themselves .
