I was thinking about something the other week. I believe that we are seeing more prayer requests answered than at any other time in the past, and I think that one reason may be the fact we are acknowledging God and thanking Him for answered prayers. How must God feel when He answers our prayers and we say nothing? It is kind of like He just does it and we do not recognize Him for it. We just go on like nothing happened, especially if it is not something seriously miraculous like someone being healed from a deadly disease or the dead being raised. He answers prayer requests all the time, if we would just take the time to recognize it.
I know that someone mentioned to me this past week they want to see teaching about how to get more prayers answered, and I really believe that acknowledging God every time He answers a prayer and thanking Him and giving Him praise for it is a major way. It is like the story of the 10 lepers, and how only 1 came back to give God thanks. I think a lot of the time, it is easy to pray and forget it. We only remember those prayers about the person with terminal cancer, and when those prayers are not answered, we forget all the other things we asked for that were answered. I really want to encourage everyone to stop by and give God thanks for all answered prayers or at least thank Him in your time of devotions. See if you do not see more of your prayers getting answered.
I have heard from brother John. He is okay. Praise the Lord. He does say that if anyone has been trying to contact him on his usual number, he has not received the messages and not yet replaced his phone and he should be back with us on Narrow Way in a couple of weeks.
