I can't tell you how many times my zeal for the things of God didn't quite match my efforts and how my efforts didn't quite match the results.
How many times Ive said I was going to wait for God to speak in the pure silence and then wound up asleep.
How many times Ive wondered why God told me to shut certain doors, give up this thing or give up this friendship, but I don't know why...
I was watching this YouTuber say that she lost more belly fat from walking than running and doing lots of cardio every day and she explained how that worked.
It reminds me of a Scripture that said the race is not given to the swift but those that endure.
You may be asking how many times God will allow you to fail, allow you to fall, allow you to be weak, allow your life to seem purposeless, allow things not to make sense .
But what you've got to realize is that through Christ these things all have their answer and if we would keep walking and doing the right thing, the promised land would be in view.
I can't tell you how many times Ive felt like giving up trying to be Holy and seeking after the Lord only to find that when I pushed through, God's magnificent presence was on the other side of my pushing.
There have neen times I wonder how I can even be a Christian with so much weakness and failure behind me but the lesson I had to learn was to keep getting back up.
I realized finally that life is going to push you and poke you and push you over and over. This world wants you to fall down and never get back up again.
The enemy can convince you that you trying to read that Bible is a waste of time cause you know youll only get through a few chapters and you might fall asleep and youll never retain it the way so and so does.
The enemy can convince you that you're a horrible soul winner so you shouldn't even try. The enemy can put all kinds of horrible discouragements on you.
But through Christ we are more than conquerors if we just keep walking.
Ever been on a long walk? Its slow. When will we get to the destination? Eventually, but not fast.
It may seem like were lost and getting nowhere at times but we serve a God who knows our end from our beginning. If we just keep walking, we know that we are walking with the Lord of hosts with angels ready to make war against the powers of darkness that we face.
I don't know who this message is for but even if its just for me I want to say that you can't let life push you down and you just stop walking with the Lord before you reach your calling and y ou ur destiny.
Don't stop seeking God when the enemy is mocking you for your failure. Keep staying pure even though there's evil wickedness and pornography everywhere that wants to consume you.
Keep praying even when your prayers are like one or two sentences at a time. Keep reading the Bible even if you have to read it out loud a few chapters a day just so we retain it and don't fall asleep. Keep being set apart and listening to Godly people. Keep praying for that family member.
Because in due season, we will reap if we faint not.
Sometimes its our weakness and our limits, that God shows Himself strong in. He wants us to keep seeking, keep knocking, keep asking, keep going with determination.
Then He promises that we will find Him.
