A FALSE RELATIONSHIP:
(6) Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.
(7) He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight. Psalms 101:6-7 KJV
If someone begins a relationship with blatant lies, it stands to reason the relationship will continue with blatant lies being perpetrated by the liar. I ask you; why should that relationship go forward? A relationship built upon lies, is not really a relationship, because it takes two or more persons being honest with each other to have a true relationship.
(18) There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.
(19) The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.
(20) Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy.
(21) There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.
(22) Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight. Proverbs 12:18-22 KJV
The bible teaches us that death and life are in the power of the tongue. When we use our tongue in a relationship, deceit is a devise which can divide, cut, and hurt, but honesty is a healing resource which brings trust, unity, and longevity.
Truth has the power of liberation, we don’t have to convince someone we are something that we are not, just allow them to see who we are by yoking our words and actions together. Deceit has a way of making its way to the surface, therefore we should always write in the truth when we are filling out our résumé’s concerning our relationships, whether they are for private or public relationship, and especially when they are for intimate relationships such as marriage, friendship, and fellowships.
Truth and Trust are necessary components for a viable and sustainable relationship. If the premise is base upon a deceit of some sort, a declaration of false claims; then at some point that relationship will crumble because of it foundation. We live in a time when society is building on superficial relationships which are more self centered, self appeasing, and self exalted.
In Society today everyone wants to be a star at all costs, and are willing to say or do whatever it takes to get to the top to enjoy their 15 minutes of fame, only to find that it leaves them empty still yearning for something more, but are so blinded by their own deception they can’t face the simply truth, that being who God intended us to be gives us the greatest joy and puts us above the rat race of lying deceptions.
Christians should be the greatest example of integrity in word and in deed. We must remember that we are pilgrims seeking a city which has not been made by humanity, but whose builder and maker is God. Therefore we should never allow the spirit of narcissism and deception to be any part of our presentation in beginning a relationship. We inadvertently idolize ourselves through coveting the fame of the world which is the infamy of heaven.
(1) If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
(2) Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
(3) For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
(4) When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
(5) Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
(6) For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: Colossians 3:1-6 KJV
Brethren keep the faith today by keeping it real, keeping it righteous, and keeping it out front with all that we encounter, and we our deeds will become seeds in the hearts of those who know us. Never try to lie yourself in to a success, into a favor, and especially into a relationship.
