The Bible Memory app has been a fun way to memorize a lot of Scripture.
So far, I am working on 14 verses to commit to memory.

Scripture memorizing was something that we used to encourage and even rewarded to many children we taught at Sunday School back in the early 80's.
I find having scripture in memory very useful. The other day my wife and I went to visit our family - my father in law being catholic decided he wanted to debate about salvation. Interestingly he could not quote a sing verse to strengthen his case with what he was saying. When I was quoting, he started getting very touchy with the conversation and insisted the conversation closed.

Yes, I only had to quote a couple as dad was getting too touchy as he believes everyone will be saved. I reminded him of 'Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Matthew 7:13-14'. He only holds to half of John 3:16 too (For God so loved the world) - He believes regardless if you believe or not, you will be saved. Then he will read any book other than the bible. After that I was told to drop the subject. In your prayers, will you pray for my father-in-law, he is on borrowed time because of poor health, in his early 80's. I am concerned that he has never surrendered and accepted Jesus.

I have added your prayer request for your father-in-law to the list for prayer meeting. I will also add it to my personal prayer list.

Also, very nice Scriptures. A lot of people have the belief in universal salvation. But it's a very dangerous belief to have.
